44 Setting Out - Day Two

Waking up Huo realised that yesterday wasn't a nightmare, it was very real. A small tear escaped her left eye before she quickly got up and dressed herself. Waiting for Ming'er to wake up so she could change the covers Huo cleans up the mess from last night as there is a trail of blood leading to the room. Grabbing a mop and bucket she goes towards the main entrance and cleans the blood and moves closer to the room as she mops. When Huo got to the main entrance she realised that the elders had already cleaned had the outside cleaned and left the inside of the mansion for her to do.

It only took an hour as there wasn't too much blood in the first place that had fallen from Sarah. Most of the blood was in the form of footprints.

When Huo got back to the room Ming'er was already awake but hadn't moved yet as she was still laying there holding Sarah's hand. Dumping the blood water down the drain of the bathroom and then placing the mop and bucket back in the cupboard. Gesturing for MIng'er to get up as she approaches the bed Huo told Ming'er to get changed in the bathroom whilst she cleaned the room. Silently going towards the drawers and grabbing some pajamas as she didn't plan on going out today MIng'er left for the bathroom so that Huo could clean the room.

Once MIng'er was in the bathroom Huo started cleaning up the room and once she was done with that she started changing the sheets while trying her best not to move Sarah. Usually someone wouldn't bother to change the sheets as they wouldn't care if the person laid in there own dried blood but she knew her mistress liked to be clean and would be pissed if she woke up to be sleeping in dried blood. Finished changing the sheets she called for Ming'er that it was alright to come in.

*Knock Knock*

Someone started knocking at the door just as MIng'er came back in. Walking to the door to open it Huo hoped it was Elder Sui so they could finally remove that dagger from Sarah. However when she opened the door what greeted her wasn't Elder Sui, it was Jian and Tian Long who had come over from the Rank 1 area to visit because of the commotion from last night as rumours had already started about the incident. Tian Long had been hastily knocking the door as he could smell the blood that had been cleaned, even though it had been cleaned, as a beast he had enhanced senses even in human form just a bit dulled than when in beast form. Entering the room quickly as Jian calmly walked in behind him however they both froze from the sight that greeted them as they entered fully.

Ignoring MIng'er Tian Long rushed to Sarah's bedside and called for her to wake up but no matter how much he shouted she didn't wake up and he was afraid to move here too much in case he made her injuries worse. When he realised that she wasn't waking up he lost his sense as a dense killing intent leaked from his body however after he paid closer attention he realised that her heart was still beating, after knowing that she was still 'alive' his killing intent faded as he calmed down.

At the same moment that Tian Long had released his killing intent Jian had done the same as the group were the only friends that he had made in his life that didn't call him names because of his obsession and love for the sword. Jian had also retracted his killing intent just after Tian Long as he had realised that Sarah was still alive as otherwise they would have to calm a beserk Tian Long.

"What happened?" Tian Long asked Huo in a chilling tone that caused Huo to shiver however she knows that he loves Sarah therefore the reaction isn't that surprising to her.

Explaining all that she could to Tian Long before he would explode at her. As the explanation continued Tian Long took on a grim countenance before he simply turned back to Sarah and looked at her with a gentle expression and told her that he would get that flower at all costs. Through the constant interaction with her during these months Tian Long had truly grown to love Sarah from the initial interest he had. Standing up he headed out as Jian silently followed him, reaching the door he looked back and nodded to Jian and then Huo and said that he will be back with that flower.

"But travelling to the North will take more than two weeks" Huo said to him as they were near the central part of the continent which meant that the northern forbidden zone was quite the distance from them at the moment.

"Don't worry I have my ways to get there" Tian Long said as he left the room.

Walking out of the room together Tian Long knows that what he does next will be something that will lead to a lot of trouble for him but if it is for Sarah he didn't care, even if the world were to burn as long as Sarah survives he couldn't give a damn. That is the Virtue and Sin of love. The virtue is that you will protect those that you love with all you have even at the expense of your own life however the sin is that you could also massacre for those you love as long as it concerns their safety.

Making their way out the main entrance of the mansion they bump into Elder Sui who stops them.

"Where are you going?" Elder Sui asked with an interogative tone that irritates Tian Long as they don't have time to waste.

"To the North for that so called plant that can help her" Tian Long answered and then looked her in the eyes that said 'I dare you to try and stop me'.

Amused by the look in his eyes as she has seen those eyes plenty of times in her life, in fact she herself had those eyes once upon a time. Throwing a token at Tian Long she reminds him that he doesn't have much time.

"Oh, and be quick about it. Even with the dagger removed, I'd say that she has at least a month before she dies no matter how much willpower she has against her heart's demons.". Hearing this furthered Tian Long's decision on what to do next.

Rushing to leave as every second counts now, they make it to the exit of the academy in a short time and then Tian Long leaves for a deserted place whilst Jian silently followed as usual. Looking around to make sure they were by themselves Tian Long suddenly turned around to Jian and said "No matter what you see here you can't tell anyone".

Before Jian could even question Tian Long on what he meant. Tian Long's skin started turning into tightly packed azure scales, then his body started bloating and elongating as his body started reverting back to its original form. Jian stood there slack jawed in surprise as he watched his friend literally turn into the legendary azure dragon.
