A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker

Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card that is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especial authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Omar is able to live as a, technically, functioning adult, but to do so he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.

NIRVANA: Rebirth from the ashes

August 2015 marked the genesis of an event that would forever redefine the contours of our existence—the Elder Tree Disaster. It was a cataclysmic eruption, an unfathomable upheaval that ruptured the very fabric of our planet, reshaping its form and fracturing its essence. If the Earth had a semblance of stability, it would have shattered like glass under the weight of this unfathomable force. The explosion ripped through the seven continents, leaving devastation in its wake as if the gods themselves had wielded their wrath upon us. In its aftermath, a surreal phenomenon unfolded, akin to the tectonic plates of the Earth converging in a macabre dance of destruction. Mother Nature, in her stoic resilience, refused to surrender entirely, coaxing the remnants of land to converge into three main continents, divided by vast expanses of water. Amidst the chaos and carnage, a power struggle emerged—a ruthless battle for dominance in this new world order. Organizations vied for supremacy, fueled by the insatiable hunger for control and conquest. Blood was spilled, lives were lost, and the annals of history bore witness to the rise and fall of countless empires. In the wake of this apocalyptic maelstrom, three factions ascended as the de facto rulers of this fractured world, each staking claim to a portion of the ravaged land. The Luminae Dominion, steeped in the tenets of religious fervor, wielded authority over its devoted followers with the divine mandate of the Solar Sovereigns. Their rule was a fusion of spirituality and monarchy, marked by majestic temples and sacred rituals that imbued their reign with divine legitimacy. Contrastingly, the Techno Syndicate emerged as a bastion of technological prowess, a formidable alliance of corporations and innovators driven by the relentless pursuit of progress. Led by the visionary Silicon Overseers, they harnessed the power of cutting-edge technology to assert their dominance, shaping the future according to their singular vision of innovation and economic supremacy. Yet, amidst the clash of religious zeal and technological advancement, the Unity Collective stood as a beacon of hope—a diverse coalition united by a common purpose: peace and cooperation. Governed by the sagacious Unity Elders, they championed inclusivity and diplomacy, seeking to rebuild society from the ruins of the past with a steadfast commitment to harmony and prosperity for all. But beneath the veneer of stability and progress, a shadow lurked—a malevolent force that sought to exploit the fractures in this fragile new world. Dark hands moved in the shadows, their motives shrouded in secrecy as they schemed to plunge humanity once more into the abyss of darkness and despair. Yet, unbeknownst to three Great Factions, the seeds of resistance had already been sown, and the battle for the soul of our world had only just begun. Or so they thought...

The Time Stone Crystal

Life begins at forty, as a common saying. Weng was able to build her own dream house at the age of forty. She owned a grocery store and has other sources of income. Her parents have no longer alive, while her two younger siblings have their own family. She's single and no boyfriend since then. She couldn't blame the time she'd wasted when having the opportunity to find a life partner. If she could only turn back the times, she would have done it before. Until one day, someone left an odd pendant with a silver chain in their store. It's color blue in the form of an elongated crystal yet half-broken. A week later, no one came back to claim the thing. One night, she drove a car heading back home when suddenly, the eighteen-wheeler truck bumped into her car and made that scenario into her death. She woke up in a world that has a vicious dark atmosphere and dusky clouds. She hears the mighty men howls and a trumpet sounded like there's a war. She was in the midst of a battle in the Persian war. It was the Battle of Thermopylae 480 before the christ era. She stood up and quickly ran away until a white horse blocked her way with a man riding on it. And he met Kairo Middlestone, a reincarnated god of time and space who preserves the balance of time from the past to the future. He also maintains peace within the time travel dimension with the help of his stone crystal necklace. The young man also revealed to her the truth behind the time stone. If they couldn't get the other half, the present world experienced phenomenon troubles such as wars, pandemics, global warming, storms, volcanic eruption, and many more. How would Weng accept everything she's been through in another dimension and rebirth after being in a car accident? How if she's the chosen one to reattached the half stone and find the other half with Kairo? Could they be successful in keeping the wheel of time back to normal? How if she falls in love with an immortal like him?
