Buying Houses and Going to Class

Before Elaria could even walk out of the bedroom door, I called her phone.

"Yes, Master?"

"I want a house. Please get one."

"Alright, Master, I'll pick one out."

I hung up and kept watching.

She looked at mom, "Master wants a house, and this is a nice area. Do you have any annoying neighbors you want to get rid of?"

Mom looked like it was one heck of a loop she was thrown for, "Well, I don't think any of the homes in this neighborhood are fit for a rich and influential person."

Elaria waved like it was nothing, "Homes can be replaced. The land is nice."

After blinking a few times she came up with an answer, "Uh, well, I wouldn't mind if either of the two to the right of our house as you look towards the road were gone."

Elaria nodded, "Thank you."

Elaria left and started walking to the closest house.

I kept watching mom and Zari.

Mom started crying and hugged Zari tightly, "When I first saw you, I was so scared. You can't ever do that to me again. I'm sorry about last night; we can keep them. We can get money another way."

They need money? I have plenty. I'll have Elaria buy out the whole neighborhood and let everyone just stay there for minimal rent so they have plenty of money from the house sale.

Zari didn't seem to know what to do but eventually settled on awkwardly putting her arms around mom, "Uh ok."

Half a minute later, mom was still holding her, and I could tell Zari was getting embarrassed, "Mom, I have to go to class today."

Mom quickly let go, "Right, I forgot. I'll leave you to it."

Mom left the room, and Zari got up and went over to her closet to pick out clothes.

I checked on Elaria. She'd reached the door of the house and knocked. A few seconds later, it was answered by an older lady. I remembered the family who lived here were nice people but highly annoying since they let their dogs run all over.

"Hello, can I help you?"

"Hello, Ma'am, I'm looking to buy a house here and was wondering if you would consider selling?"

She looked surprised but shook her head, "No, it's just too much trouble to find a new home."

"Would you consider it if I could make it worth your time?"

She thought about it, "What are you thinking?"

"Honestly, I have no idea how much this home is worth. How much would make it worth selling to you?"

She thought for a few seconds, "I think it's probably worth around 350,000, but I couldn't sell it for that. Unless you can do at least 500,000, I don't think we could move."

I had previously told Elaria I put 24 million in my account, so that was no issue.

Elaria nodded, "How much would you want to be moved out by the end of the day?"

The lady was shocked, "Hold on a moment, let me ask my husband."

She went inside while Elaria patiently waited, and was back less than a minute later with her husband, "I hear you would like to buy our home?"

"Yes, sir."

"And you want to know how much you'd have to pay for us to move out by the end of the day?"

"Yes, sir."

"I think a million would do; I could hire people to help, and it would be extra for the hassle."

"Would you take 700,000?"

"How about 900,000 cash?"

"I'll be back within half an hour with 825,000 cash."

"Deal, we'll call our friends right away to start moving out."

Oh, it's so easy to buy a house when you have so much money.

Elaria waved goodbye and walked out of sight before teleporting back to the living room of the hotel.

"Master, would you please give me 825,000 in cash?"

She knew I heard but still asked anyway.

I put it inside a briefcase, "Here, also. Buy the rest of the houses in the neighborhood after those 2 but let them stay in them and pay some small rent or something, whatever you want. If people ask why, just say I think it's easier to buy everything than get permission to build a mansion from the rest of the neighborhood."

That neighborhoods covenants don't allow massive projects without majority consent from the rest of the homeowners, so its a perfect excuse.

"Yes, Master. Would you like me to arrange for a mansion to be built in the place of those 2 houses since they have connecting land?"

"Yes. Try to get it done as soon as possible. Also, I'll fill some more bags with money, add whatever is left from buying the homes and construction to my account."

"Yes, Master."

She teleported away again, and I filled a bunch of duffel bags with cash, about 100 million. It should be more than enough to pay a construction crew to work around the clock.

I walked into my room to wake Lila for our first day of class. She was wrapped around Luna, sleeping peacefully on her favorite pillow under the blanket.

I gently shook her awake, and Luna also woke, "Lila, get up for class."

She sat up, and the blanket fell down exposing them both. Luna rolled over onto her stomach and yawned while Lila rubbed her eyes.

Alexis and Nona walked in carrying tea for the girls and picked out clothes for them. Alexis dressed Lila while Nona just placed Luna's next to her.

We all walked out to the dining room and sat down to a delicious meal prepared by Alexis and Nona this morning.

Soon our plates were empty, and Lila and I left the hotel, going out to the parking lot where our car was parked.

I opened the door for Lila, "Princess,"

She smiled and got in the vehicle; I shut the door and went around to the other side.

I pushed the button for the top to fold back and was amazed at how it folded under another piece in the back.

I drove out of the parking lot, and Lila hung her arm and head over the side. For most people, it would be dangerous, but what could happen to someone at her realm?

Zari's tracker also started moving, and Nyla's was right on top of her.

I made my way to the university and pulled in a little bit before mom dropped off Zari. Since I was seeing mom in person, I cast a tracking spell on her also.

Nyla was under an illusion that made her invisible and just hanging out while laying on top of mom's car. When Zari stepped out, Nyla levitated herself off without a sound, and stepped down on the ground a little ways away from her.

Lila and I walked a little slow so Zari would end up in front of us; when she passed us, we matched her pace, following just a bit behind.

People looked at us and tried taking pictures secretly, but nothing could escape our divine sense. I saw one person typing a message about the 2 goddesses and male-god on the same picture and posting it on the university forum. He sent it to his friend and told him to print a bunch of copies and that they were going to be rich!

We made it to the first class, and Zari went up the steps, all the way to the back row.

A guy that had been in between us was about to sit next to her, but Lila and I both released killing intent, his reptilian brain suddenly decided that place was more dangerous than riding a nuke to its destination.

Lila happily sat next to Zari, and I slid in after her. Zari was on the end, and there was no seat on her other side.

Zari glanced at Lila and me quite a few times but tried to ignore us.

Lila reached out her hand for a shake, "I'm Lila; it's nice to see you again. I see we are in the same class."

Zari looked at her ears, very confused but shook her hand out of politeness, "I don't think I've met you before. If I had, I'd definitely remember."

Lila giggled, "How could you remember when you were sleeping?"

"Have we had a class together before?"

Lila gave a fake mortified expression, "Are you saying you sleep in class?!"

Zari just gave an unamused expression before turning to her desk and opening a textbook.

I saw Nyla on the roof; her divine sense was just keeping track of everything while she went through some motions in swordsmanship.

The professor came in, and I pulled out the textbook. I scanned the contents with my divine sense before handing it to Lila; I'd never forget it now with my improved brain power. She started flipping through it, reading while the professor started writing on the chalkboard.

It was a lesson in English and was extremely boring. I hate English. At some point, Zari lay her head on the desk and closed her eyes. I thought it was a good idea and did the same but watched her face instead of closing my eyes.

She seemed to feel someone looking at her and opened her eyes, meeting mine. Those beautiful blue eyes stared into mine as her cheeks turned pink and the world faded away.

It was just us, and I felt my heart speed up; I could hear hers do the same. A small smile played at her lips, and a few loose strands of brown hair fell across her face. It was a beautiful moment, until Lila turned the page of the book between us.

Zari quickly picked her head up and turned the other way. It didn't really matter as I could still see her with my divine sense. Unfortunately, she wasn't looking at me anymore. Her face broke into a smile but she quickly suppressed it.

I sensed a piece of chalk flying in my direction, but it was quickly snapped out of the air by my free hand.

Rude professor! Interrupting my thoughts! My hand flung the chalk back towards the professor.

Bang!

It crashed into the chalkboard, missing the professor's head by an inch. The front third of stick turned to dust, and splatters could be seen across the chalkboard stretching almost a foot, getting fainter the farther it was from the point of impact. The rest of the stick could be heard as it plinked onto the cement floor.

Zari sat bolt upright, looking in the direction of the noise. Everyone else was looking back and forth from where I lay on my arm over the desk to the chalkboard.

The professor stood there, frozen for a good few seconds, and I could tell he was vowing to never wake someone up with chalk again. He decided to pretend a piece of chalk hadn't almost put a hole in his head and continued what he was saying before.

20 minutes later, the bell rang and everyone jumped out of their seats, packing their books and headed out of class.

Lila and I just followed right behind Zari to the next class, sitting in the same order, and the next again until lunch.

When the bell rang for the end of class before lunch, Lila popped up from her seat and grabbed my hand, "Let's go."

I was dragged out of the classroom in the direction of the restrooms. I definitely wouldn't be eating lunch today.
