26 Busy is good

Shao Yan stayed very still.

She could feel his lips on her forehead. Li Xiqing was standing so close, she could smell his perfume.

Her heart was beating so fast right now. It's making her dizzy. Her hands felt so cold.

Li Xiqing was still holding her hand. He was looking at her and saw her bright red face. And he could see her turning frozen.

He gave a little squeeze.

"I have decided and I won't change my mind. You don't have to say anything right now. Take your time to think about it."

Shao Yan didn't know where to look.

She looked at his eyes. And then she drifted away.

She looked at his chest. And then she looked away.

Li Xiqing rubbed her hair lovingly, he cupped his large hand on the back of her head for a while.

"Shao Yan?"

Li Xiqing sounded like a whisper. He was talking very gently to her.

Shao Yan was still standing on the spot. But she looked up at him.

"Good night." he smiled.

Shao Yan was certain her face turned one level redder now!

He let go of his hand from the back of her head, and he slowly let her go.

Li Xiqing was very much eager to do more. To kiss her more. To touch her more.

But he didn't want to scare her away.

He had time.

He didn't mind to go slow at her pace.

Because he was serious about her.

Li Xiqing walked to the foyer, put on his shoes and then he walked out.

Shao Yan's mind was playing different kinds of fireworks.

She was really confused right now.

Was this how adult romance work?

This had never happened to Shao Yan before.

Growing up, she was not the prettiest in the class. She was not the most sexy either. She was not the smartest top of the class.

She felt that she was just... normal. Average.

Shao Yan knew she didn't look ugly. But how could she believe that she got this amazing, smart, gorgeous, sexy beyond belief man, who was now pursuing her?

Was he just playing around? Maybe because he was bored, for just being back in the country?

Maybe he missed all his girlfriends from country U and was looking for a one night stand to relieve his physical urge??

Shao Yan was feeling like a mess right now.

She locked her door and then aimlessly walked around.

She tried to tidy up her suitcase, but she kept being so clumsy so she gave up.

Shao Yan closed all the windows and went to have a shower. Yes, let's shower. Maybe shower would calm her restless mind.

She took a long hot bath. Trying to ease her tensed muscle.

After she was done, Shao Yan started to turn on her laptop to work.

She typed and deleted. Typed again and then deleted it again.

She couldn't find any smart catchy phrase after typing for a while.

She kept on typing and kept on dazing off to the distance.

She couldn't concentrate at all..

She dropped back to the bed feeling very frustrated!!

For the first time in her life, she let her house still be in a mess after coming back from a trip, and left her work incomplete.

Shao Yan sent an email to Miss Sea to apologize about not sending it on time. She also set up a new deadline for Miss Sea.

Shao Yan went to sleep.

Shao Yan woke up earlier than usual the next day. She groggily rubbed her eyes, she dreamed that she had run a marathon. She felt so tired.

Shao Yan checked her phone for the schedules for today so she could picked the right outfit.

She would have a full day today and she became so excited. Feeling energized, she quickly got ready to go to the office.

Shao Yan would be meeting a lot of vendors today. She browsed through her wardrobe and decided on a simple black dress pants. She paired it with white blouse. And she completed the outfit with black and white striped jacket.

Okay. Looks good. Back to basic. Shao Yan nodded approvingly on herself.

Shao Yan walked out from her bedroom, to pour some water in the kitchen. When she walked past the living room, all of a sudden she paused.

The memory from last night stormed through again.

Shao Yan saw Li Xiqing's jacket and tie laid proudly next to her yellow jacket. She could feel her face turning red.

He must have done this on purpose!

Shao Yan glared at the jackets.

She felt more headache was coming. She quickly turned her face away. She would just dealt with it later.

Shao Yan sighed and quickly took her laptop bag and her purse, and then walked to her shoe closet.

For once, she skipped the wedges. She picked up a black pump heels.

Break a leg, Shao Yan! He was probably only looking for a quick adrenaline rush. He would get bored soon.

Shao Yan left the apartment and went to the parking garage and drove to the office.

When she arrived, Wenhai came in to her office with some reports that she needed to review.

Shao Yan spent the whole morning meeting with different people for the Anniversary project.

All the vendors that her team contacted had come today to discuss the details of the event. The anniversary was coming soon, so everyone worked faster and more diligent than before.

There would be a big meeting in the afternoon, which will be hosted by the executives. They called it Quarterly Kick Off meeting.

Basically, it's to discuss their strategy for next quarter and it was mandatory for everyone to attend.

Shao Yan, Fan jie and Huo ge had to leave the office for an early lunch, to meet with an event organizer company.

This event organizer company would be helping them to arrange all the specific details for the party on the day itself.

The discussion was draining all their attention. Everyone was too focused with this meeting that they almost forgotten about the Quarter Kick Off meeting from the executives.

The three of them sped up to go back to the office but they were still late by 15 minutes.

The three of them were running to the meeting room now.

"We are dead meat. Mr. Wang definitely will not let us go unharmed!" Huo ge lamented.

Fan jie could only patted his back to cheer him up.

And they continued to rush to the big meeting room.
