"Ah…my arm…my arm hurts so badly…"

The fat man lay on the floor and kept wailing in pain as he struggled and tried to stand up again.

But with more than ten zombies lying on top of him, it started to get too difficult to even breathe, so how could he possibly stand up?

"What…what's going on?"

When the policewoman on the bed first saw the zombies rush in, she was filled with nothing but terror. But just a few seconds later, her thoughts went through a complete reversal.

She suddenly realized that these zombies seemed as if they were here to rescue her.

That was because after these zombies had pushed the fat man to the floor, none of them came to attack her.

This sort of thing defied logic, but it had really happened right in front of her eyes.

The policewoman's eyes got wide as she watched what had just happened in front of her. She really didn't know what she ought to do now.

All of this was too creepy and completely mind-blowing.

Grrrh…Graaahhh…Grrrhhh…

Just then, the zombies at the door suddenly growled and made way for something.

The policewoman turned to look at the door when she heard the commotion outside.

Grrrh…Graaahhh…Grrrhhh…

Amid the growls of the zombies, one zombie finally came stumbling into the room.

This particular zombie didn't look any different from the other zombies, but according to everything that happened earlier, she knew that this particular zombie was definitely different from the rest.

"Could it be that this zombie has intelligence and it can actually command the other zombies?" A shocking thought suddenly crossed the policewoman's mind.

Grrrh…Graaahhh…Grrrhhh…

The zombie slowly walked over to her and started to just stare straight at her.

The policewoman was feeling very frightened inside. The zombie was very ugly to look at, and there were even maggots wriggling about inside the rotting flesh on its face. The rotten smell emanating from it made her feel like puking.

But she didn't dare to look disgusted or repulsed.

When she was faced with this unknown yet powerful and frightening creature, she realized how terribly weak and frail she was.

To her, this zombie definitely had intelligence, and it was certainly the most powerful one, and the commander of all these other zombies.

"Are you…are you here to kill me?" asked the policewoman in a trembling voice as she tried her best to suppress the terror in her heart.

Grrrh…Graaahhh…Grrrhhh…

The zombie was silent for a long time before shaking its head slightly.

"Phew…"

The policewoman breathed a sigh of relief when she got this response from the zombie in front of her.

So she asked the next question, "Then why did you come and look for me?"

Grrrh…Graaahhh…Grrrhhh…

The zombie pointed a finger at the fat man who was lying under a whole pile of zombies, then pointed its finger at the pistol on the table.

"You want me to kill him? Is that it?" asked the policewoman.

Grrrh…Graaahhh…Grrrhhh…

The zombie let out a series of growls as it nodded its head gently.

The policewoman became very emotional when she saw this and said, "Thank you so much! I'm not sure why you're doing this, but I'm really grateful that you've given me a chance to kill this animal myself."

Grrrh…Graaahhh…Grrrhhh…

The zombie waved its hands about as if it was saying you're welcome.

After finding out that this zombie had sentient feelings, the policewoman wasn't surprised by its responses anymore.

She turned to look at the pistol on the table again, took a deep breath, and walked over to get it.

"Ahh…no…please…you can't kill me…"

The fat man was filled with horror when he saw what was happening.

He turned to that one special zombie and started begging for mercy, "Zombie Daddy, please, I beg you, don't kill me. I will work for you. You want to eat humans, right? I can work for you and help you to find humans. I'll do anything you say. I'm begging you, please give me a chance. I will do a good job. I will show you real loyalty."

But this zombie completely ignored what the fat man was saying, as if it couldn't hear what the man was saying at all.

CLICK! CLACK!

The policewoman had already picked up the pistol, loaded it with bullets, and pulled off the safety catch.

She walked over to the fat man lying under the pile of zombies and bent over. She slowly brought one end of the gun near his forehead.

"No…don't do it…you can't kill me…I was so nice to you…I gave you all the best food…you can't...you can't kill me," pleaded the fat man as he trembled all over and peed on himself.

"Humph!" The policewoman scoffed coldly and said, "You gave me the best food only because you wanted to sleep with me. You b*stard, the gods have finally allowed a wicked man like you to receive the punishment you deserve. You can shut up and go to h*ll now."

"No…I'm also a human like you…we're the same kind. You mean you're going to kill someone of your own kind?" asked the fat man as his eyes looked at her in despair.

"Shut your trap! To me, you're even worse than an animal."

The policewoman didn't say any more and just pulled the trigger.

BANG!

After the gun was fired, the bullet went straight through the fat man's head.

Fresh blood immediately spurted out and a huge patch of red covered the floor.

After the policewoman had fired that shot, she straightened herself up, staggered back several steps, and leaned against the wall.

It was true that she had killed the man she'd hated to the core, but once she had done that, her mind went blank.

She was now surrounded by nothing but zombies, and there wasn't a single living person left.

She clutched her head and slowly slid down the wall to squat on the floor.

Graaah…

The zombie made a light growl when it saw her behave like this.

"Mr. Zombie, can I ask you for a favor?" The policewoman suddenly looked up at it.

Graah…

The zombie grunted in reply.

"I want to go and check on those colleagues of mine. They were locked up by all these bad guys before this, so I want to see if they're still alive," said the policewoman.

The zombie pointed to the door after hearing her request.

"Thank you!"

The policewoman stood up, grabbed her pajamas from the bed, and put them on before walking out of the door.

That mysterious zombie followed behind her and maintained a distance from her.

None of the zombies outside the door tried to attack the policewoman and actually made way for her to walk.

The policewoman was really shocked by all this, but she was more worried about the policemen locked up in the jail cells, so she walked very quickly.

She finally reached the jail cells.

The door of the cells was open, so she walked right in.

"This…"

The policewoman saw all the policemen lying on the floor terribly skinny from being starved for days.

All of them were lying motionless, and they looked like they had been dead for several days already.

"Liars…those liars…"

The policewoman thought about how she had acceded to those thugs' every request in exchange for the lives of these policemen. But all she had gotten was a broken promise.

Those thugs had never intended to let these policemen live at all. She had sacrificed herself for nothing.

"I'm so stupid…I was really so stupid…I actually believed those b*stards…I…"

The policewoman felt a deep regret over this matter. She grabbed at her own hair and started to break down again.

This time, she had really fallen into despair. The thugs were all dead, but her colleagues were also dead. She suddenly didn't feel like living anymore.

She slowly turned around to face the zombie who was standing in back of her.

She said, "I don't know what on earth you are…and I don't know if you have the same thought processes as humans do…in fact, I really don't know what I'm looking at…but now, I really don't have any hatred toward you. I just…please, kill me now…I don't want to live anymore."

After that, the policewoman stuck out her fair, slender neck as she waited for death to befall her.
