12 Give You a Knife

The zombies soon took over the entire male dormitory, but Wang Hao wasn't in a hurry anymore.

If he just rushed in and killed Li Dong like this, then Li Dong would die too easily.

So Wang Hao changed his mind again.

He decided not to kill Li Dong for the time being. He was going to let him hide inside the room and slowly descend into despair.

There were zombies both inside and outside the dormitory anyway. At least 100 of them must have come in after he opened the gates.

The number of zombies would only increase over time, so he wasn't worried about Li Dong finding a way to escape.

And so, Wang Hao decided to go back downstairs to look for the dormitory teacher's office.

It didn't take him too much time to find all the keys to the first, second, and third floors.

The keys were separated by floor, and the keys of the same floor were on the same keychain.

The first-floor keys were pretty much useless to Wang Hao, so he only took the keys to the second and third floors.

He went up to the second floor and found the room that Xu Xin was in. Wang Hao picked out the correct key and was about to unlock the door.

But then he started to hesitate again.

"If I go in just like that, would Xu Xin be so scared that she'd commit suicide? If she does that, then there's no way I can torture her. This stupid b*tch looked down on me in the past, so I'm not going to let her die too easily."

Once Wang Hao thought about in it this way, he changed his plans and threw the key onto the floor and stopped controlling this zombie.

The Zombie Bomb only allowed him to control a zombie for ten minutes at a time anyway, so there wasn't much else he could do today if he had continued to control it.

He was very satisfied with the way things had turned out, and, at least, the entire situation was now within his control.

Now, Wang Hao wasn't in any hurry to go back into the male dormitory.

If he went in now, he'd either have to confront Xu Xin in his zombie form or his human form. But if he used his human form, he might be in danger.

So to play it safe, Wang Hao decided to let Xu Xin go hungry for two days first. Then, when she was almost unable to endure the hunger any longer, he would take some food to her and force her to sacrifice her pride for the sake of food.

When that time came, he could torture her in any way he wanted, and, once he was tired of her, he could get rid of her.

Wang Hao reverted to human form, hopped onto his electric scooter, and left the school.

"No problem, I've brought you some more food today."

Wang Hao went up the stairs, opened his backpack, and poured out its contents in front of the young girl.

The young girl bowed her head and suddenly became very quiet.

"What's wrong?"

Wang Hao was curious and asked her a little puzzledly.

"I just don't quite get it. Why are you being so nice to me?" The young girl suddenly lifted her head.

"Do you really want to know why?" asked Wang Hao.

"Yes, I do." The young girl looked directly into Wang Hao's eyes.

"I'll tell you the truth then."

Wang Hao got straight to the point and said, "I suspect your daddy and mummy have already been bitten to death by those monsters out there, otherwise there's no way they would have abandoned you here all by yourself. I don't want to just see you starve to death, so I decided to bring you some food."

The young girl fell silent again after listening to what he said. After some time, she spoke up again, "So you think that way too. Looks like Daddy and Mummy are really gone after all. That's…that makes me feel so sad…" The young girl started to sob.

"My name is Xia Lingling. What about yours?" asked Xia Lingling.

"My name is Wang Hao."

"Okay."

Then she asked, "When you come here, you're always looking for a knife. I happen to have a knife here, but I'm not sure if you're interested in it?"

"What sort of knife?" Wang Hao didn't think this shop would have anything fancy, but his interest was piqued, and he wanted to know what sort of knife Xia Lingling would appear with.

"Wait here for me."

Xia Lingling ran back into her room and searched for a while before finally returning with a long item in her hand.

"My daddy hid this away before he left. Why don't you see if you like it?"

"Oh?"

Wang Hao looked at this long item in Xia Lingling's hands, and his expression showed that he was interested in it. That was because he realized that this was a katana replica made from composite steel.

Even though it wasn't really like those swords from ancient times, it was made with modern steel and expert techniques. The blade was strong, so it could slice and hack through even tough surfaces. At the same time, the blade itself didn't bend under pressure and was quite sturdy. This would have been considered one of the best among ancient weapons.

"You…don't like it?" asked Xia Lingling.

"It's not that I don't like it, but I feel that this knife of yours is too valuable for me to take," replied Wang Hao.

"If you like it, you can have it. You've been so nice to me, so I'll just give you this knife. Otherwise, I'll feel really bad inside."

Xia Lingling could tell that Wang Hao liked this katana, so she insisted on giving it to him.
