8 Let's Get Out This Cave (2)

Hunter continued along the path. During this time, he was able to upgrade his 'Holy Eyes' to Lv. 2. And finally, after approximately two days of fighting and running in the dark cave, he finally reached the exit! He can now see the outside. He was excited so he just ran to go outside.

But just as he was about to go out, he slammed against something that blocked him from getting out. It was a barrier!

"What the f*ck?!", was what Hunter yelled. "Why the hell is there a barrier here?!"

Hunter started punching and kicking the barrier. After exerting almost half of his strength, he stopped. He leaned against the barrier, looking at what was outside.

He wanted to get out. He wanted to at least have a glimpse of sunlight. He was very hungry and dehydrated because he hadn't drank nor eaten anything these past two days. And this took a big toll in his fighting performance.

Even though he was strong, with an empty stomach, his strength was useless.

He took a few steps back and looked at the barrier again. This time, he noticed the timer at the top. The remaining time was 30 minutes and 27 seconds.

This gave him a slight hope but he was just too hungry right now! He really needs to eat something. He sat down and asked the 'System' the same question he asked these past two days.

"Are there any edible food in this area of the cave?"

[ Answer. There are no edible things in this cave area. ]

This was always the answer he gets whenever he asked this question. As he was about to whine, he received a new answer that he hadn't gotten before.

[ Note. The 'System' is on the verge of leveling up. By leveling the 'System' up, you can have access to the 'Secret Store' where you can buy lots of things. ]

Hunter's eyes widened when he heard this. "Wait, can I buy food in this store?", he asked.

[ Note. You can buy anything in this store including not only food but even weapons and potions and elixers with higher quality and effects than those sold in shops at the human world. And you can even buy skills if there are any that are up for sale. ]

Hunter was now wearing a grin on his face. This was the perfect store for him of he wanted to get stronger faster. He didn't hesitate and stood up to go gain experience so that he would level up the 'System'.

Even though he was thirsty and hungry a while ago, with him knowing about this store, he gained energy from his excitement in gaining access to this store.

Since he wanted to level up, killing stupid and weak creatures like rats and goblins would lengthen the time he would level up. So he decided to go for the nearest purple dot he could find in the map.

Without wasting a single moment, he headed to the location of the purple dot. He was excited and nervous at the same time because he knew that a purple dot would mean a powerful beast.

As he was nearing the location, he saw something like an entrance to another cave. It had torches on both sides of the opening.

Hunter slowed down his pace and, with a deep breath, he entered slowly and carefully without making any sound. He passed a lot of cobwebs which gave him an idea of what he could be facing.

And when he finally saw it, his guess was correct. Inside was a big spider with eight long hairy legs with a very fury body.

So far, the monster has not sensed him yet. Above the spider's head was it's name and level.

{ This creature came to this place to lay it's eggs 1 week ago. It is planning to make this part of the cave it's territory. It still has a day remaining before it will lay it's eggs.

- Can shoot webs at it's target.

- Can use it's legs to attack and crush the target.

- Can spit poisonous venom at target. }

These were the information Hunter got about the monster. He started planning on how he will defeat the thing.

He analyzed his current status.

These were what he had at the moment. "Damn! I'm gonna need a weapon to defeat this thing.", Hunter cursed in his head. And as he was scanning his surroundings, he saw a spear leaning on the wall.

"Heh. It seems like the gods are answering my prayers.", he said as he took the spear. He breathed in heavily and the next moment, he dashed at the gigantic spider, activating 'Holy Eyes' and 'Boost'.

The spider was caught off guard by Hunter's sudden attack so it just watched as he cut off three of its legs.

The monster screeched in pain. Hunter took this as an opportunity and aimed for the spider's stomach. He plunged the spear to the monster's large belly in hopes that he could cut it but he wasn't successful.

"Sh*t!" Hunter exclaimed. "Why the hell is it's spin so hard!"

He jumped back to get a distance from the spider. Although it's the legs were cut, Hunter was pretty that this monster had 'that' ability.

And his guess was right! Just after a few seconds when Hunter gained distance with the spider, it's legs started growing again. This was an ability that most bosses have in games. 'Regeneration'.

'This is going to be troublesome.', thought Hunter. 'Regeneration' ability was a very rare about to humans. But they are very common in monsters usually from the middle level to the highest level.

There were very few monsters from the low level that had the 'regeneration' ability. "It would be very cool if I had to skill.", said Hunter as he prepared himself for the worst.
