A fiery figure is floating in the sky, below him, a vast expanse of thick trees covered in mist stretched as far as the eye could see. its gaze fixed upon the vast forest.

Every so often, roars from fearsome creatures echo through the air, disrupting the beauty of the forest.

The figure gradually descended from the air, his fiery wings retracting as he approached the ground of the forest.

"I won't let you escape again."

It is Jiang Lei who has come mistwood forest to kill the monster, it's just that, he knows very well that it will be very difficult for him to find the monster in such a vast forest.

As he moved deeper into the forest, the mist grew thicker, making it even harder to see.

He took his each step very cautiously, the air was thick from the moisture, although, this mist doesn't have much effect on him, but many monster can hide in this mist to lung at its prey.

The name "Mistwood Forest" was given to this place because it's almost always shrouded in a thick mist.

It was so easy to get lost in here, but finding someone here is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Even though Jiang Lei has become very strong, he knows the consequences better than anyone to let his guard down in the Mistwood Forest.

This place is filled with unknown dangers, and he is aware that there might be monsters even more powerful than current him lurking in the mist.

So he always remained on high alert, every sense tuned to the slightest sign of danger, as he ventured deeper into the forest.

Suddenly, Jiang Lei felt a movement behind him, and before he could react, a shadowy figure lunged at him from the mist.

The attack was swift and unexpected, wanting to catch him off guard.

But in Jiang Lei's eye, the speed of the figure was very slow, so slow that he could easily dodge the attack.

In an instant, Jiang Lei easily sidestepped the figure's attack, and then he also attacked with a powerful, sweeping kick that sent the figure hurtling through the air.

"BOOM!"

The figure crashed into a large tree with a resounding thud, thrown back by the force of Jiang Lei's strike.

Jiang Lei looked at the monster's appearance seriously, it is a scary creature. It has shiny black scales that seemed to swallow light. Its red eyes shining with intelligence. It's head is spiky, with six legs and sharp claws.

Shadowclaw's eyes gleamed with intelligence. It seemed to understand that he is not Jiang Lei's, so it immediately got up, and tried to run away from Jiang Lei's grasp.

However, Jiang Lei immediately see through Shadowclaw's intentions.

"Swish!!"

He moved with lightning speed, closing the distance, before the creature could react, In an instant, he caught Shadowclaw by the neck lifting the creature off the ground, effortlessly.

"Wou! Wou!!" the monster, tried to struggle in Jiang Lei's firm grip, but Jiang Lei's hand was so strong that it almost couldn't breathe.

"Shriek!!"

Shadowclaw's desperate cry echoed through the forest as Jiang Lei's grip tightened. It tried to break free with all his might, but unfortunately he was very weak compared to Jiang Lei's strength.

Gradually, it's movements stlowed, realizing its futile attempts, it stopped and looked at Jiang Lei with pleading eyes, silently begging him to release it.

"Do you want to live?"

Jiang Lei asked in a cold tone.

Shadowclaw attempted to nod, with its pleading eyes.

"I'll let you go," Jiang Lei said coldly, "but you will have to answer my question. If you answer me wrong, I'll kill you on the spot. Do you understand?"

The monster attempted to nod, signaling it understood.

"Have you ever seen a wolf-like monster here, about 10 meters in size?"

The creature shook its head vigorously, trying to convey that it hadn't.

"Are you absolutely sure?" Jiang Lei asked with a menacing glare.

"Squeal!!"

Shadowclaw trembled at the intensity of Jiang Lei's gaze and did its best to shake its head vigorously, indicating that it had not seen such a creature.

Jiang Lei gazed at the monster coldly, disappointment in his eyes.

"I am sorry, but your answer.....is wrong."

"Crack!"

The crackling sounds echoed through the tranquil forest as he snapped all the bones in the monster's neck, ending its life.

"System, copy."

As he said, System's voice immediately came into his mind.

Jiang Lei threw the body in the ground and looked at the dead monster, "The moment you choosed to kill me,you were dead."

Jiang Lei looked at the deep forest before him, that looked like a venomous snake with its mouth open.

Jiang Lei again moved deeper into the forest, he can afford to waste a single minute.
