Gasper's Plan

Hearing Gasper's suggestion, Miguel did not move his head even a bit to avoid suspicion. Even without his help, Miguel could escape this carriage by summoning his grimoire in an instant and letting Aaliyah obliterate the bandits. 

However, doing so would mean that Aaliyah would be exposed, and Miguel wanted that as the last thing to happen. 

Gasper's suggestion made him another choice. However, doing so would mean that he had to save them from the bandits a hundred percent. 

His principle has always been to repay favors and gratitude equally, and return hatred tenfold. 

"I'll see what I can do," he whispered back to Gasper with an equally low voice. 

The two bandits who were keeping an eye on them did not notice their interaction, Miguel made sure that the attention was not on them when he whispered. 

Gasper smirked as resoluteness appeared in his eyes. 

Miguel doesn't know what he was planning to do, but he could only go along for now.
