1 The Awakening - [ Chapter - 1 ]
My name is Dae-Seong, my mother gave me this name for me so that I might succeed in life but that was until the gates appeared, during the period my mother died from one of the monsters that came out of the gate and I had to stay with my grandparents.
10 years after the accident, humanity adapted and people awakened powers and awakened people can learn common skills, common skills are learnable skills and are very important for awakens and some awakens get unique abilities and are said to be 100x more powerful than common skills but all unique abilities has disadvantages.
You can see at a very young age what your powers are but you aren't able to bring out their full potential and whenever I tried to learn a common skill when I was young I always heard a voice in my head but I never heard it.
I told my grandparents about it and we went to a hospital they said there was nothing wrong with me and that I was perfectly healthy, they told us to try and do an awakening test to see if I had an ability because there could be a chance of it.
So we went to the awakening center and we had to pay a big fee but my grandparents said they didn't have to worry and if I have an ability that means I can help them if I became a hunter.
I did the test and these are my results.

My grandparents were happy that I had a unique ability because it was a really rare chance of that happening to a person.
Many people wanted to talk to my grandparents about them helping me when I am at the age of being able to become a hunter and my grandparents refused their offers and said that I will choose when I want to become a hunter.
A few years later, I was in high school at age of 16 when most unique ability users find out their ability, I had a lot of friends but I knew the reason why they were friends with me is that I had a unique ability.
There was only one friend that was truly ever my friend even before the awakening test, his name was Byung-ho, he was very kind and nice to talk to and he was also one of my childhood friends.
One day while we were near the river just discussing a few things if we would ever become a hunt, suddenly a bunch of people who looked like gangsters came up and said, "Well, well, well, look what we have here...", we didn't know what they wanted and Byung-ho asked, "What's wrong?" they replied saying, "This is our meeting spot and YOU are in our spot so leave or we'll beat you till you actually want to die out of the pain.", we didn't fight back and just left but one of them bumped into me and said, "Oh! I think you dislocated my shoulder, you have to pay the medical fee.", I was getting tired of their BS and said, "I didn't do a thing, so leave us alone.".
They threw a punch at me and easily knocked me down, they took both of us and held us against a tree and used us as punching bags after a while they stopped and I was really mad and tried to hit one of them in the head and failed miserably, so this time they started to hit me with stones and sticks, I was on the verge of collapsing and I heard a voice again.
