13 13. Chen Hei : "Why can't you love me?"

Next day, Ye Jin woke up early in the morning but she felt her head hurts a lot. Though she hadn't drunk yesterday but still she felt hangover. She texted to Yao Sao asking, "What time classes will begin?" and waited for reply and saw time, ' It's still early in the morning. She must be sleeping right now.' Ye Jin thought and placed her phone on the table nearby, and simply lie down again on the bed. She tried to sleep now but couldn't. She reminiscent yesterday's incident, while thinking she was surprise for something. She understood that Chen Hei came to her college treat function but...

' Why is he attending her college's meal treat?'

As soon as this question popped in her mind, she got up sat down surprisingly. As her one hand was on her head and another was on the bed. She hold tightly on the bedsheets, and repeated words in confusion which she was thinking,

"What on earth he was doing there? "

"Isn't he already graduated?"

She threw her blanket aside, ran to bathroom, brushed her teeth and took hot shower. After shower she went downstairs directly in the kitchen, as she expected housekeeper Old Shang was preparing breakfast so she went casually and while sitting down on chair she greeted to housekeeper Old Shang, " Ayi *, You're up? Good morning." Housekeeper Old Shang was busy in kitchen chores so she didn't noticed when her Miss Ye entered in kitchen, with little surprise she bow to Miss Ye, "Good morning Miss Ye. You're up very early." It's seems that her Miss Ye needed something so she added, "Is there something you want?"

It's seems Old Shang has noticed her, thought Ye Jin so she thought to ask her prepare some soup, "I'm having severe headache. Can you please prepare some soup for me. So I may can feel relaxed bit."

Old Shang knew that her Miss Ye doesn't drink tea which is not good for health as well so she avoid tea as much as possible instead she takes healthy soups which is good for her health. Housekeeper old Shang nodded in agreement and quickly began preparing, "Kindly wait for a while Miss Ye."

Ye Jin still sat leaning on the chair with one hand on her head, her face was pale as well and patiently waited for Old Shang.

Chen Hei went directly to his office and asked his assistant to bring all the important files and after that he ( Assistant) can go home. After while only those who were doing over time were there in the office and Chen Hei. His assistant before leaving asked to Chen Hei if he want to order dinner but Chen Hei refused his proposal and continued his work. After assistant left his cabin, he was the only one left alone in his room.

He was in a dazed on the computer screen because he was not feeling like to work. Chen Hei received invitation from Beijing University's students as a guest few weeks before, first he thought to decline but then he remember that Ye Jin studies in the same university though he doesn't know from which department she's from.

He knew that she doesn't attend any parties or any sort of entertaining surroundings because she doesn't like to be in crowdy places but still in a hope to see her, he accepted the invitation. But he never thought that something bad would happen to her and even they'll bump to each other. Though she avoided him but he still wanted to stay wherever and whatever she pleases.

Still it's painful for him whenever she avoided him.

As he came out from his thought, he opened the drawer near him, take out packet of cigarette and lit it. Chen Hei didn't have habit of smoking but whenever he felt remorse he'll lit up and will keep between in his two fingers. He did the same thing today. He lit one after other and at last the whole packet was over. His cabin was full of smokes and cigarette butts of all sizes. He leaned on the chair in dazed while reminiscences old happy memories, when Ye Jin smiles, whenever she chuckles and play with his nephews, particularly he likes it. Whenever he sees her happy he felt happy so how can he can't feel her sadness.

He got up from the chair and walked to the balcony and lifted his head and saw the dark pitch night and the sky was full of stars. He remembers that how much she likes stars and even he secretly calls her, 'My little Star'.

As he remember the word,

'MY LITTLE STAR'

a sudden gloominess surrounded him.

He returned to his cabin and sat down on the sofa, took out his purse and starred with his a pair of crystal dark pitch pupils which seemed full of sorrow, stared at the picture in his purse and lied down on the sofa and just began remembering that how she left him without uttering anything.

'Why can't you love me?'

This question he repeated many times to himself in past and today again he was surrounded by the same question before when he himself doesn't know fall asleep.

"Why can't you love me? "
