17 Little Pumpkin!

"Thanks, mam," Robin said, Miss Bay didn't look up and continued to stare at the screen, and the girl scurried away.

Robin looked down at her schedule it was surprisingly empty apart from a few seminars with Mr Thomas a week, the rest of her time was Free Study Time. It didn't surprise Robin that her former self had no time for extra curriculum activities. She just had to work out if she wanted to do any, but that wasn't for today.

She headed home quickly before she could bump into anyone, she really was worried about every man she saw and whether he had seen all of her bits! Robin was lucky that she had a good memory so the couple of trips she had done with Ivy where enough for her to be able to retrace her steps home.

When she got in she pulled out her phone, ran through her contacts (there were so many) till she found her dad. The phone rang a couple of times then it clicked and she heard her dad's voice.

"Robin are you okay, how are you feeling"

"Dad..?" Robin welled up, over the phone he sounded just like her dad, it had thrown Robin off.

"Robin do you need something, shall I come over?"

"No Dad, I just wanted to chat..." she heard her dad's laugh over the phone, it was hard for her not to believe that she was speaking to her real Dad. Tears streaming down her face Robin couldn't hold it in any longer, "Dad I don't think I'm your daughter I think I am in someone else in your daughter's body, I know I sound crazy but I just can't stand to take your money if I'm not your daughter..."

There was silence on the other side of the phone, then finally her dad spoke, "You act like my Robin, are you sure you aren't my daughter...? Do you remember when you were 7 and you broke your arm because you chased that boy up a tree, you were so embarrassed you thought I'd disown you? Do you remember what I said to you?"

Robin did remember, she was shocked was this her memory? Had she got them mixed up? Was this really her Dad?

"You said you'd never disown me because your love for me was too great that even the universe couldn't contain it..."

"See if you were not my Robin how would you know that, and as I paid for your sister to go through University I expect to do the same for you."

"But..." Robin began this conversation was going very differently to how she thought it would be. "I don't think this me? I don't think this is my body."

"Do you look like you?"

"Yes.. but!"

"Robin I think you've been working too hard... it sounds like your mind needs a rest your mental health is important too! We can book you in to see a doctor if you like?"

"No no Dad, it just." this guy felt like her dad, but if this was her dad, then who's memories were she harbouring?

"You only have one class left this week don't you, I think you should come here to relax for a long weekend your mother and I. We do miss you greatly, we barely have seen you since you started university. I will send a car to pick you up after class tomorrow"

Robin felt defeated and confused. "Yes, Dad.."

"I have to get back to work... but I love you pumpkin don't forget that"

CLICK

Robins's heart swelled as her dad called her pumpkin, which was something her dad had called her before, his little pumpkin! He had always said it was because she must be hollow on the inside from all of the food that she could eat, wihtout getting full! How would this man know this if he wasn't her father!

Food!

Robins's stomach was rumbling, she headed into the kitchen and started to prepare a grilled cheese toastie, she made sure to get the proportions just right 2/3 cheese 1/3 toast. Robin sat on the bed her warm bread baby on her lap, ready to take a bite.

BUZZ

Robin hissed at the phone, and took a big bite out of the toastie!

BUZZ

BUZZ

Robin sighed and picked up her phone, she had received a message holding her phone delicatly in one hand and her sandwich in the other she checked to see what had been said.

"Robin, are you going to make it today? You have been quiet recently."

Harry Cooper

"Robin I'm here, where are you let me know xxx"

Harry Cooper

"Hey babe I'm going to pop over ! I'm worried about you just want to make sure you are okay!"

Harry Cooper.

Robin groaned, and smacked her head into her hands, another one! Then she remembered the contents of the last text, and dialed quickly.

"Hello Harry"

"Robin are you okay, I've been texting you like crazy I haven't upset you somehow have I?"

"No no, I just have a headache please don't come over I need to be alone."

"Sure sure" Harry replied sounding disappointed, "I'll let you rest then I guess." He said gloomily before hanging up.
