4 Chapter Four

Diana wakes to the sound of a carriage door opening. She opens her yellow eyes to see Ghost hop out of the horse drawn carriage.

"You ready to see the house?" He seems excited that she's going to live with him.

He bought Diana a ton of clothes and told her to pick out an outfit about 2 hours ago. He set a stack of clothes on the chair saying pick something. She wasn't expecting that. [Well hello again, yes this isn't very surprising that Ghost gets her a lot of clothes but remember Diana is staying in his house until she becomes an adult. This isn't just I need to spoil her or impress her or something along those lines. She's fifteen right now so that's three years until she's legally an adult. That's why he bought her so many clothes and he's never had a child or sibling before so he wanted to be prepared. Sorry for interrupting the story...] He took her request for a pair of clothes very seriously. She was really confused as to why he is being so nice to her... He barely knew her.

As they both get out of the luxurious carriage, she looks in awe at the house. The house looks like a mansion. Its Victorian architecture makes it look like a mini castle. She looks back at the carriage and the two black horses as they trot away. The coach tips his hat at the two while turning around. Vines crept up the side of the turret. The garden wrapping around the house has an assortment of different roses. The one word that pops into Diana's head when she sees the house is majestic. She's never seen a building with such personality. History is written all over the walls as she walks in. The hardwood floors look like they were there for centuries.

•Ghost POV•

As Diana admires everything in the house, Ghost throws his jacket onto a coat stand and walks into a huge study. He has no reason to admire this house. This place held the memories of his nightmare of a childhood. His blue eyes almost immediately find bloodstains from years ago on the rose wallpaper. He could picture his ten-year-old self slumped against the wall, knocked out as his intoxicated father, beat him. He could hear the cries of his mother yelling "STOP!" He could almost see the blood running down his face and dripping onto that same spot as that stain. That was not something he wants to relive every day but it's hard not to dwell on the past when there are so many reminders of it. He couldn't move without disappointing his pack because of this where every alpha has lived for centuries. No one other then the moon goddess knows what has occurred in this very house. He shakes his head clearing out of all those thoughts before remembering he has a child in the house with him.

"Miles!" He yells before hearing the thump of a heavyweight hitting the hardwood floor.

"OW! Sugar Honey Ice Tea! How many times do I have to tell you not to yell?" A high pitched voice yells. If you didn't know any better you would have mistaken it as a female voice.

A small male walks in. He had shoulder-length red hair put in a ponytail. A small bell was hanging off the elastic of his ponytail. He gave Ghost his best glare with his green eyes. *He's definitely not happy with me.*

"Nice to see you too. Could you show Diana to her room please?" The ghost asks not caring whenever Miles was happy or not.

Miles huffs before walking out the huge oak doors. The small bell rang a very soothing sound as he walks.

Ghost then walks to a desk and plops himself in the comfortable chair. A raven softly caws as a greeting. Ghost nods his head at the bird in the golden cage. He grabs a piece of paper and a quill and ink out of a drawer. He dips the tip of the quill into the black ink and starts writing:

Dear Reapers,

The princess has disappeared and we would like to know if you have succeeded in killing her? We know you have killed the beloved king and queen and we of course will take revenge but we have no idea where Princess Diana is? Like always you guys have outsmarted us but this letter is your last warning to stop what you are doing and let us rule the kingdom until we find the rightful heir or someone who could match her smarts. If you do not this will immediately mean war. Also, remember not to shoot the messenger.

Yours Truly,

The Future Spades

Ghost then takes the blackbird out of the cage and puts a small leather backpack on it. He rolls up the letter and puts it into it. he closes it and picks up the bird. The raven calmly waits in its master's arms. Ghost walks to a window and throws the bird out. It dives down before flapping its wings.

"Kage, make it back safely...please?" Ghost whispers as the bird flies away.
