What an Irritating Day!

Gu Jia Xin called to them and they turned around to face him. He walked to them and handed one chocolate to each of them.

Bei Shiyi and Nie Ankai gave a questioning look to him.

"Listen, I don't want to start my day on a rough note. I have no intentions to offend you. I am just not comfortable with sitting on the inner side." Gu Jia Xin said.

"I am not at all offended. You just said that you didn't want to waste your recess time in this 'PETTY' argument. I am just obeying your command. Isn't it want you want? Let's go Ankai." Bei Shiyi scoffed and left the classroom with Nie Ankai.

'I just don't understand girls. Their emotions and words seldom match. You are obviously offended. You just don't say it.' Gu Jia Xin sighed.

"Hey...wait!" he ran behind the girls who were at the end of the corridor.

"Huff... Since you are not offended, you can at least guide me to the school ground as a model classmate." Gu Jia Xin said as he was trying to catch his breath after running through the long corridor.

"Uh... you can come with us. We are going to the ground too." Nie Ankai quickly replied before Bei Shiyi could reply.

Bei Shiyi widened her eyes and looked at her.

"It's alright. Forget about everything. He is just a new-comer. It's our responsibility to help him. Let's guide him to the ground." Nie Ankai whispered into Shiyi ear.

Bei Shiyi was confused. Nie Ankai had never before, volunteered to help anyone like that. Also, when it was someone who had offended them before. She was still perplexed but she brushed off the thoughts and walked to the stairs.

At the end of the stairs, there was a door, which led to the ground. Both Bei Shiyi and Gu Jia Xin walked to the door together. The door was narrow so they couldn't walk through it together. Bei Shiyi took a deep breath and tried to remain calm. "You go first." Both of them said together.

They both again walked and bumped into each other. 'What an irritating day!' Bei Shiyi thought to herself. Nie Ankai could see that Bei Shiyi was irritated. She went through the door and held Bei Shiyi's arm and walked her out. She asked Gu Jia Xin to come out too.

"Is it that difficult to pass through a door?" Nie Ankai asked them. Both of them looked at each other and then, turned their faces away from each other.

"Jiaxin!" Wang Lie called out. He came running to them along with Yang Chen and Li Zhen.

"Why are standing here? We were looking for you all around the ground." That was obviously a question to which the answer was not required. It was just a way used by Wang Lie to take Jiaxin with him. Before Gu Jiaxin could reply, the three boys took him along to the basketball ground.

"He already has friends. Why would he need our help?" Bei Shiyi said.

"It's alright, Shiyi. Don't spoil your mood. Let's go." Both of them were taking a stroll in the ground. When Mei came running to them.

"Sis... did you paint the shirt which Sis Ai is wearing?" Mei asked Shiyi.

"No doubt you are her sister. You can recognize you sister's creation just by looking at it." Nie Ankai widened her eyes in amazement.

"I didn't recognize it just by looking at it. Sis painted the Geranium flower on that shirt. Though the flower is meant to give good wishes and happiness to the receiver. But it has another meaning- that is "fool or stupid".

Of course, I know, geraniums are not the first flowers which come to mind when you paint. So, painting them is definitely intentional and only Sis can paint it on Sis Ai's shirt." Mei explained.

Nie Ankai clapped her hands in admiration.

"Wait a minute. What is use of just painting the flower on her shirt? Not everyone knows about flower language. They won't even know about it's meaning. That would just take away all the fun." Nie Ankai said.

"That's simple. Just ask the the art teacher if she could schedule the flower-language class today a little earlier than the original schedule." Mei suggested.

"No. We don't need to do it. It's already over. She just smeared some ink on my shirt. You see Shen Ai was already embarrassed in the class. We don't need to stretch the incident any further. If you hurt her pride too much, it will only make matter worse. You see, 'A wounded lion is more dangerous than a hungry one, he runs after his prey not to satisfy his hunger but to gratify his anger.'" Bei Shiyi said.

"Come on, Shiyi. Don't be a spoilsport!" Nie Ankai said.

"But you shouldn't let yourself be known. Shen Ai shouldn't know that you were the ones who got the class scheduled ahead." Mei said.

"ShiMei! Come on, it's your turn." Mei's friends called to her.

"Alright sis! Got to go." Mei waved to them as she went back to her friends.

Bei Shiyi told Nie Ankai to not get the schedule changed. Nie Ankai nodded her head and walked with her. Suddenly, a dog came running to them.

"Carl! come here." Bei Shiyi called and she bent down to pat the dog. Nie Ankai excused herself to go to the washroom. Bei Shiyi took out a small pack of dog biscuits from her pocket and put in near Carl. He swiftly ate them.

Meanwhile, Bei Shiyi looked around and saw Gu Jiaxin. He plucked a weed flower and observed it when he saw Bei Shiyi looking at him.

He waved at her with the flowers in his hand. Bei Shiyi laughed a little as she saw him holding butterfly weeds. 'He probably doesn't even know, what those flowers mean.' she thought.
