Chapter-10[Before Meeting with The Duke and Duchess]

Lilliana stayed beside Kyle and continuously asked him about his change, making the black-haired boy feel weird but happy at the same time seeing the smile on his Little Lady's face.

'I want to protect that smile.'

Kyle smiled a little as he thought about that. Even in his last life, he was someone who did whatever he wanted, no matter how much risk it was. He only cared for the result, never the process as he cleared everything.

"Young Miss, you should take your seat now."

Sebastian kindly reminded. It was already the time for the dinner, and Duke and Duchess were about to arrive even though he didn't know about the latter.

Kyle nodded too and spoke, "Yes, Young Lady, you should take your seat first."

In Starlight Adventure, some of the noble etiquettes were talked about repeatedly. And one of them was the dinner one as the Heroine had occasionally dinner with the top nobbles from royalty to the Dukes.

So, you need to be on time during dinner or any type of occasion to show respect.

Even though Lilliana didn't need to show that as she was just dining with her parents, but she still nodded.

But before going to her seat, she took Kyle's hand, making him surprised at the sudden action.

"You will sit next to me!"

Lilliana announced and dragged Kyle with her. And, with her malnourished body, how could he stop that? So, he got dragged, but before he did, he shot Sebastian a helping glare, which Sebastian ignored.

'Help me! I will not call you lolicon! even mentally!!'

Kyle mentally pleaded. He was fearful of Duke! Especially if he, some unknown kid, and a kid from slums at on the dining table of the Duke Family, how bad would be Duke's reaction.

Even though Duke showed no discrimination, but someone being near his daughter was a big no for him.

He was a doting father for a reason.

Kyle looked around to find someone for help but all he got were the stares of disgust.

Suddenly, his mind froze.

'How could I ignore it?!' Kyle mentally screamed!

Lilliana made Kyle sit on the chair just beside hers that was directly on the left of the Lord's chair. She had a bright smile on her face, and she felt excited again.

She was happy for her new friend to look good.

Lilliana then looked at Kyle, his hair was not too much large, but they were according to his age but Sebastian had changed the hairstyle similar to his own, the hair going back making it look exceptionally good at Kyle.

'I wonder why, but it feels good...how do I say, right warm and cozy whenever I am beside Kyle...it is relaxing...' Lilliana thought with a smile.

She felt calm whenever she was around Kyle, no matter how his appearance looked. I made her feel good.

Meanwhile, Kyle was brainstorming everything that came to his mind. He forget to look at a major detail.

'How did I ignore that... There was not a single damn need for servants to hate Little Lady when she was this young, even in the game, she was shown to be liked by many people of her territory, especially Demi-humans and Adventures as she ventured into Dungeon on a usual basis. Her black hair and black eyes are not enough reason for the hate, one of the ancestors of the Avarice family was born with black hairs too...' Kyle continuously analyzed whatever he remembered from when playing the game.

He had played the game and cleared every single route in the hope to find a single ending where the Villainess end was good, but none, except a theory that the company posted on a thread online. He knows the history of many characters and remembered them.

What Kyle felt speechless was the fact that the disgust servants showed was way too weird. His Little Lady hadn't even shown her nature that she showed in the game to garner anyone's hate.

On the contrary, he felt that her attitude is likable, way too much likable. Her personality was cute and how she cared for others' feelings which was something he never saw in the kids he adopted in the past.

Her personality made his determination to save her even more.

Lilliana looked at the black-haired boy sitting beside her with a thoughtful look on her face making her pout.

'Did he ignore me?' Lilliana thought and waved her hands in front of Kyle's face making him cone out of his thoughts.

Kyle mentally shook his head, 'I will think of that later on.'

"What happened, Young Lady?" Kyle confusedly asked seeing Little Lady hovering her hands in front of his face.

Lilliana stopped doing that and cross her arms on her chest as she looked at Kyle, a pout still remain on her.

'Cute and adorable!' Kyle thought seeing Lilliana's cute look.

"You were ignoring me!"

Lilliana spoke out loud, with a little anger evident in her tone. But more was sadness.

'Right, she should be insecure about getting a friend...' Kyle thought and realized his mistake.

He knows that even if he was thinking of saving her, he shouldn't ignore her. Lilliana never had a single friend, even in the game, only Kyle was beside her.

Others avoided her like a plague, and those who were with her were nothing more than lower noble families, trying to make themselves favorable in front of Duke household.

Those she interacted with were the Demi-human servant in the mansion. She was even shown to be respected by them but the reason was not mentioned.

'Curse those damn creators!'

'Young Lady, I was listening to everything you spoke." Kyle answered calmly.

Lilliana puffed her chest as she asked, "Then, what was I talking about before?"

Kyle thought for 5 seconds during which, Lilliana impatiently waited.

"Young Lady, you were talking about the roses that you planted in the garden," Kyle answered with a smile.

Lilliana excitedly nodded, 'So, he was not ignoring me!'

Meanwhile, Sebastian internally gasped in surprise. How could he not see that Kyle was completely lost in his thoughts but still answered like everything that Young Miss spoke was stored in a different corner of his brain?

Which could be true too. Kyle was not a fool, he was the most intelligent person in his past life, even more than the top experts of any world he visited.

He had started Interstellar Travel, developed giant fireworks that could blast a whole country to smithereens or some special ones that could blast a star and many other things, so how could his brain work like normal people.

The only normal thing he did in his last life was fall in love, and be a hardcore otaku. He never had too many hobbies as he would lose interest in them quickly. Like, playing baseball? He transferred the memories of the top player and modified them in his brain making him the top player.

That was Kyle in his past life. He worked smart most of the time, except when any mission for infiltration came, he went alone.

Why? For adventure. Venturing into an unknown world with little to no information in your hand. It was exciting for Kyle.

"Yes! We should go and see them after dinner!"

Lilliana excitedly proposed. She wanted to share the things she felt excited about with her new friend and sadly, her only friend.

But before Kyle could reject her with a bitter smile on his face, the door of the room opened and a golden-haired man entered first, Following behind him was a golden-haired woman with a pale complexion and in the end, was the suspicious red-haired maid.
