1 Chapter 1 - The Letter
It was 8:30 am , and a young adult was attempting to cheer herself up after receiving shocking news.
Suspension letter
Suspension for three days without pay for violating a company policy.
"Well, it was their decision; there was no point in questioning it; at the very least, I have a vacation now."
She was shocked when she read the suspension letter, but when she thought about it, it wasn't so bad. She had been unmotivated at work for several months.
Based on the letter, it is unclear what violations she has committed, but it makes no difference to her. It was obvious to her that the company lacked a clear set of corporate policies.
She worked as a Sales Supervisor for CZY for 9 months. When she was hired, the company was only a few months old in the city.
Monica Patricia Bale is a 22-year-old woman. Eldest of three siblings and the only female.
There was no clear system and it was chaotic. It made her life difficult. The company's problems worsened, and she was a pioneer in the company's management department.
"With three months to go, I can resign, leave this plane, and be free of this hell. I would not have stayed in this company if I did not require one year of work experience!"
She had a complicated feeling about this company. It was her first official job after graduating from college, excluding her part-time job while in college.
After signing to acknowledge the letter, she said her goodbyes to the accounting head, other supervisors, and, finally, the general manager, before leaving the office with few words.
She was well aware that she did not have a good reputation at work. The reason for this is that people enjoy seeing other people's misfortune.
It was already established that the majority of the people in her country have a crab mentality, which is unfortunate. Living a life of high morals and high standards is difficult when your surroundings are the polar opposite.
"What should I do? Will I go to the mall or stay at home? But isn't it still too early?"
She robbed a public UV "jeep" and drove to Cogun. While in the jeep, she begins reading one of her favorite light novels.
"Wow, amazing, the main character of this novel is cool; I wonder how he'll get out of this one?"
The time flew by; she arrived at her destination in an hour. She walked a short distance to Oro Supermarket after exiting the public UV.
She entered one of the Salons within the Oro Supermarket.
"Good morning, ma'am, welcome to Berens Salon, how may we assist you, ma'am," the female receptionist said.
"Mani Pedi" is an abbreviation for "Manicure and Pedicure
"All right, ma'am, you may select any set, and the attendant will follow," the female receptionist said.
"OK, thank you."
* Mani-Pedi - Manicure and Pedicure are two of the combo services offered by Salon.
After 5 minutes, the attendant approached her and asked what color she preferred. And given a form to complete.
She selects two colors, one for her hand and one for her toes. The hands are grayish lavender, and the toes are bright red.
Except for the part where the attendant made a mistake and injured her, the process was relaxing. People made mistakes, she knew, and it wasn't all that bad.
She went to her favorite fast food restaurant after paying. She orders her favorite dish: spicy chicken with mashed potatoes. She reads her favorite light novel while eating.
"Marvin, Marvin, hehe, you're priceless," she thought to herself.
She was completely engrossed in her favorite light novel. Marvin was the novel's main character, and she thought he was a different type of character than the ones she usually reads.
She decided to go home and relax since it was already 1 p.m. Someone calls her while she is riding the public UV.
"Hello, love," she said.
"Hello, love, did you finish your lunch?" her companion stated
"Yes, love, and have you eaten your lunch yet?" she stated
They talked for a few minutes, and she told her partner that it was not the best time to discuss what happened to her earlier that day in the public UV.
So she asks him if they can talk again after she gets home.
The journey takes an hour. She is still reading her favorite novel while on the public UV. She already knows she enjoys reading.
Her two brothers and their maid auntie Edith greeted her when she arrived home. She went straight to bed and slept for a short time.
After 30 minutes, her phone rang, and she received the call.
"Hello?" she asked.
"Hello, sweetheart, did you fall asleep?" Her companion stated
"Hehe, yes," she replied.
"I'm sorry for waking you up; do you still want to sleep?" Her companion stated
"It's fine, by the way, I was suspended from work for three days," she explained.
"What happened?" her partner inquires.
She then explained what had happened to her earlier in the day.
Renze Yin is his name, and he is 23 years old, just a year older than she is. They meet during a college retreat.
She then spent her time reading her favorite novel or playing her favorite mobile App until it was time to go to bed. She eats her dinner and then reads some more.
Even though it was past midnight, she and her younger brother Irvin were still awake. She was still reading while waiting for Renze, and her brother was still playing on their laptop.
Irvin Bale, a 15-year-old entering grade 10 this year, is the youngest. Patricia describes her brother as obnoxious and anti-social.
When Renze arrived, two of them were exhausted and decided to nap. In Medin, he works for a Coconut Processing Manufacturer. It takes 3 to 4 hours to get to Cyan Oro, where they live.
The weather had reached its peak the next morning. She was disoriented when she opened her eyes. She realized she wasn't in her room, and Renze wasn't in the room, either.
The room was ten times bigger than hers. It had the appearance of an ancient western. It perplexes her; her gaze wanders all over the room, and then someone speaks to her.
A female maid stood beside the bed and said, "Good morning, Master Mix."
"What is a Master Mix? What in the world is that? Wait a minute! Is she staring at me?" She thought to herself.
"Are you talking about me?" she inquires.
"Good day, Master Mix. King Martin has asked for your presence at the Silver Brook Hall at 9 am "The female maid stated.
"What? king?" she exclaimed.
"Yes, Master Mix, are you alright? You appear to be in poor health "said the female maid.
"OK, this is just a dream, enjoy it," she told herself.
"Master Mix?" inquired the female maid.
"Don't worry, I'm fine; just tell King Martin I'll be there; please excuse me," she said.
The door was suddenly pushed so hard that it slammed against the wall. She was taken aback when a middle-aged man entered the room.
"Master Mix! It's after 8 am . Why are you still sleeping?" the man of middle age stated
"Master Mix, you're running late for Sword training!" the man of middle age stated
"Why are you acting this way? You're the Crown Prince, and you need to know how to fight in melee "the man of middle age stated.
"Wow, I'm the Crown Prince, this dream is getting interesting," she reflected.
"I'm sorry, I'm preparing for the lesson," she explained.
She then gets to her feet and walks towards one of the doors.
