1 Chapter 1. Chloe Tsai is not like that!

Chloe Tsai was the mysterious twin sister of Dash Tsai, the attractive and indifferent CEO of the Tsai Company, one of the biggest and most powerful companies in the country. Chloe didn't like participating in social events, which made everyone believe that she was an arrogant person and that she was as cold as her brother. Sadly, only a few people knew that she was completely different from the rumours.

Chloe and Dash grew up in a loving family of four, their father was a business genius, while their mother was a rare beauty and the perfect housewife. The future of the family was bright, and everyone thought that sooner or later, the Tsai company would become the number one company in the country. However, an incident related to their father's rival in love and business caused the death of their parents.

After their parent's death, Dash had to take charge of the company when he was only 18 years old. Before saying their final goodbyes, Dash made three promises. The first promise was to take care of his sister as his mother requested. The second promise was to fulfil his father's dream, which was making the Tsai Company the most powerful in the country. The last and final promise was to forget about taking revenge.

It had been only two years after their parent's death, and the twins were now 20 years old. During those two years, the Tsai Company grew in power and surpassed their father's old rival. The business world recognized Dash as a business genius like his father, and he was titled as one of the most wanted bachelors and as an overprotective brother.

He was considered as an overprotective brother because he rejected every engagement request for his little sister. Also, he didn't like Chloe participating in social events, to which Chloe agreed a hundred per cent, which gained her the nickname of Cold Ghost Princess.

However, only the close friends and family of the cold ghost princess knew that she was the warmest and sweetest person! That's right, Chloe was a caring person that would do everything in her power to help her close ones. Nevertheless, it was quite a feat to become her friend, which was why some people thought of her as arrogant.

Chloe had an open and charismatic personality that attracted people to her. She was a humble person that didn't judge people by their appearances or economic circumstances, which was why her close friends had different backgrounds. Chloe could be friendly to everyone, but she only considered those who approached her without hidden motives as her real friends. Most people thought that her brother's protection made her a naive person and that it was easy to take advantage of her. However, only their parents knew that Chloe was smarter and more cunning than Dash, but she would only attack when people crossed her bottom line.

Effie Clark was a famous novel writer and Chloe's best friend. Her last work was titled 'Melting the heart of the cold ghost princess', and she decided to write the main character of the novel according to the rumours about Chloe. They even shared the same name! Effie decided to ask Chloe to read the novel, as she was the one to decide whether it would be published or not.

When Chloe finished reading the novel, the first thing she did was to call Effie and say "Chloe Tsai is not like that! Effie, you need to alter her name or rewrite her personality. Otherwise, I won't admit this work". Effie sighed and challenging replied, "Well, if you don't agree with her behaviour, how about you show me what the real Chloe Tsai would do!".

Chloe began to have a headache and knew that when Effie used that challenging tone, things would end up getting messy. She could only comply and reply, "You know that I don't have any writing experience. But, as your best friend, I will do my best to help you".

When Effie heard Chloe's response, she smiled mischievously and with a tone full of playfulness said "I knew I could count on you! But, please don't blame me if things don't go as expected".

Chloe was used to Effie's playfulness, so she didn't find anything estrange with her words. Chloe looked at the clock and noticed that it was quite late, so she said: "I'm going to sleep now, we'll talk about it tomorrow".

After hanging up the call with Chloe, Effie couldn't help laughing and mischievously said "Oh Chloe, you have no idea to what is waiting for you! But don't worry, I'm sure we will write the best novel together!".
