CHAPTER 1

[Another Body]

"What is love?" Su wen is also curious about Azareth's question. She's already in her marriageable age, yet no one ever courted her.

"Love is-"

"I-" As Su wen keeps on reading,

"I don't know the answer." She laughs slightly at Eve's answer. What a coincidence. Both of them doesn't know what love is. As she continues to read, she was moved by Eve's desire to find the answer.

But the thing is, it keeps on recycling. Su wen cried as she reads that Eve had to witnessed all of her master's death. From the beginning up until now.

"All I ever wish is for Eve's happiness. If God will allow me, I wanted to help her." She didn't know that this wish, will come into life.

"Miss, it's time to wake up." A sunlight hits Su wen's eyelids. She knows that it's Saturday. It means she doesn't have to work.

"Mom, close the curtain."

"Mom? Are you talking about the Duchess Serena?" An unfamiliar voice suddenly woke her system. "Who is that?" She sat down as her eyes focuses to the girl in front of her. This must be a goddess sent from heaven to get her.

"Did I die while I'm asleep?" Eve shakes her head as she prepares the hot chocolate for Luna. "Then who are you?" The only thing in Eve's mind is that her lady caught a bad nightmare.

"My name is Eve Milady. I've been working in Svesta's state in the very first beginning. I am now the head butler of the family. I am currently serving Duchess Serena and Duke Artem. And you, the daughter of Svesta's state, Lady Luna Svesta."

"It seems like you're not fully awake so let me call the family doctor. If you'd excuse me, please eat the meals I've prepared and I'll be checking the lady later on."

"Svesta?" Su wen looks at the mirror as her eyes widened. It was a body of a kid who looks really pretty as if it was destined to be a model.

"Luna Svesta.." Luna is one of the characters in the novel that died due to lack of air while sleeping. She's a weak child who dreamed to be a doctor when she grows up.

And Luna is a genius child that wanted to help Eve to solve her problem. But Luna- unexpectedly died at the age of 13.

"Azareth." Su wen closes her eyes as she remembers her wish. It was probably because of the creator named Azareth.

"But why? There are many people who deserve to be in Luna's body, yet why does Azareth picked me?"

"The doctor is here Milady." As the doctor checks her vitals, her parents seem to worry about her. Su wen never experienced such care before.

As she grows up, she became more and more independent. That's why she doesn't have enough time for that word called 'love'.

"Milady is fine inside and out. I'm amazed that Lady Luna didn't experience any hard breathings while sleeping." The doctor said as he talks to Luna's parents, but Luna's eyes were stuck to Eve.

"My idol is so pretty!" Eve's expression might be dull, but that's what makes her pretty. Eve's like a goddess that carries all mysterious things in this world. If only she could smile, then the world will look even brighter! Luna waves her hand to Eve as Eve bows slightly.

"Luna!" Her mother shouted as she hugs her. "Are you ok? How are you? Do you remember me? I'm your mom! You don't have to remember your dad because he's useless."

"What do you mean by useless?" Luna laughs slightly as the couple started to fight. "You didn't touch your food." Luna's dad look at Eve as Eve excused herself to get another breakfast.

"As soon as Eve called the doctor and inform us that you asked for her name, we're scared that you might also forget us."

'Does the past really even matter?' Is what Su wen's thinking right now.

Luna died at this age. As if Luna is just a temporary happiness that came from Svesta's family. The light or must they say a blessing from Apollo.

"How would I forget?" Luna chuckles as if she knows this family. Well, she knows them. She's reading the novel after all.

EVE'S WISH NOVEL is about a woman, the first creation of Lord Azareth. Born with a perfect outside personality, she was cursed by Deluvio [The God of Envy] to be emotionless and been cursed of Immortality by its creator, Azareth. Eve's wish is nothing, but to find the answer and

TO DIE AS A NORMAL CREATION OF GOD.

"Here is your breakfast Lady Luna." As soon as Eve enters the room, her parents bid their good-bye's.

The atmosphere seems to be quiet as Luna eats her food. She's not used to it. After all, every morning, her boss will chat and call her for the unfinished project and bother her in every second of her life.

The more she thinks about it, the more that she doesn't want to go back to her world.

"Is the Lady ok now?" With a cold tone, Luna can't help, but to look at her.

'It must've been painful suffering from a cursed. Eve can't smile, laugh, cry, nor get angry. Then what's the use of being pretty if you can't even feel any emotions?'

"I'm awake now. There's no need to worry." Eve looks in confusion. "Milady is acting like a grown-up. You used to cry when you have a bad dream." In the novel, Luna used to cry over such small things even nightmare.

But that was all for an act. Because whenever she's alone, she would read books to find the answer to Eve's question.

"It was bad. But I should let it off to become stronger." Luna said while smiling as she tried to make her hands tremble in fear.

'My acting sessions are useful in some ways.' She said to herself. "Seeing the lady's hands, it looks like the lady is choosing to be mature."

"But pretending to be okay is a crime. Don't copy the adults Milady. You will regret being mature once you grow-up." Eve's words really hits her core.

In this life, Su wen will make sure that she'll live her life to the fullest. Because once and for all, this is the family that she's been wishing all along.

"Then let's explore the capital!" Su wen reads that there's a plenty of beautiful things in the capital. Not to mention, that the city is also filled with modern technologies!

"We have to ask permission to the duke and duchess. Knowing your state, your body might collapse." Luna's body is indeed a weak one. But now that she inherits the body, she knows herself that she's a healthy one inside and out.

"If mother and father agree-"

"I'll be escorting the lady since I'm the head butler of Svesta family. Letting you with just a maid around will be dangerous." Eve is indeed a loyal subject of Svesta family.

Luna can't help, but to look forward. After all, SHE'S RICH! ON THE TOP OF THAT, SVESTA'S FAMILY IS THE SWORD OF IMPERIAL PALACE!

"How can we agree? The capital is filled with mercenaries." Her mother is worried that her daughter might caught in an accident on the way.

"I have Eve!" Luna is determined. Whether her parents like it or not, they will like it.

"You can't bother the head butler for that."

"But Eve said she will accompany me if you agree!" Eve cough for a while as she steps forward.

"This matter will also help me to relax for a while. The lady is in my care so you can feel at ease." Her father sighs as he accepts Luna's wish.

Duchess Serena also agrees as she heard that Eve will accompany her daughter. In terms of safety, the only one who they can trust in the mansion is Lady Eve. A mysterious woman who's serving the lineage of Svesta's family at the very first beginning.

"When are you planning to leave?"

"Tomorrow?" They can't help, but to agree. After all, it's their precious daughter's wish.

"Milady's birthday is coming 2 months from now. What's your plan?" Come to think of it, Su wen is celebrating her birthday by eating at a resto. She never celebrates it with anyone.

But it's different from now. "I want to host a party. A simple one." Luna's birthday is always grand. But Su wen choose to make it simple this time.

"I see. Then what will you do for now?" Now that she inherited Luna's body, her only mission is to live her life and to find the answer on Eve's question.

"If Eve is having trouble then I will help!" Eve looks at her young lady as she pats her head. "The lady is too young to understand. But if you wished to help me, then grow-up quickly."

"What age is it?" Is her age not enough to help her? She'll be 14! No, if we calculate she's already 25-years-old in the first place!

But of course, she can't just say that or else Eve might call the family doctor again.

"When the lady turns 18. Then you can help me. That's the age of your adult stage Milady." Luna is determined. She will help Eve.

"Pinky Promise?!" In order to gain Eve's trust, she needs to act in her age. "Yes, Lady Svesta." Although Luna wants to see her smile, Eve's dull face is also fine to her.

"Let's make memories alright?" Even Luna's sweet smile can't strike the heart of Emotionless Eve.

"Until the Lady dies." After the promise, they went to the town to buy some clothes for tomorrow. "You don't want the one with frills anymore, Miss Luna?"

Eve can feel the authorities with those words. "A true master indeed." Luna heard those words. She's trying to be calm as she heards those words. But deep inside, is a proud Su Wen.

After buying all the dresses, they decided to walk for a while. It's been a while since Su wen was this peaceful. She remembers that her only break is when she's sleeping.

The fact that she only sleeps for 4 hours is really a bad thing. "You don't look like Lady Luna at all."

"Can I be the new Luna then?" There's something about Su wen that makes her feel at ease and not scared at this moment.

"As long as the Lady is happy to it." Being emotionless, Su wen really can't read Eve's mind. Whether if it's disappointment or not, she just can't read her.

"Lady Luna is born in that way, if you wanted to change, I'll stay with the Lady's side." Eve is really a loyal subject.

But is she really a subject? Can't they be more than that?

"Eve, I was thinking-"

"If we could be friends atleast? Forget about my status and let's start as a friend." Eve wanted to take her lady's hand, but she remembers that her lady will die.

And the pain she'll bring to her will be difficult to erase. "Remember your position Lady Luna. I'm the head butler of your family. In able to be stronger, you just have to be friends with the royals and not a butler like me."

It was like an arrow that pierced through Su wen's heart. She knows her secret. Isn't it enough for them to be friends atleast?

And then she remember, Eve doesn't even knows that she knows her secret.

"Why not?" But then, Su wen like to know the answer. "Because Miss is the precious daughter of Svena family." It's not it.

Su wen looks down as she feels rejected. 'Is it because you're an immortal?'
