13 Chapter 13

In my past life I spent last years of my life in the hospital. There many sort of patients came and almost all have them some kind of problems in their lives,

Some of them talked about it and I liked to listen attentively to pass time. In time I could tell from their eyes if someone carried burdens in their hearts or problems which seemed to difficult for them to solve alone.

Kakashi's eyes gave me the same empty feeling as one who had lost purpose in their life. I knew his story so I was even more sure of my guess.

Me - So what are you doing nowadays then?

Kakashi - Nothing special.

Me - You should really learn to say more words.

Kakashi - You have changed a lot Aoki.

He gave me a slightly long glance and said. Well I was a different person inside but could not really tell him either.

Me - Well you can say that. You still seem to be stuck in the past though.

Kakashi - ...

The silence was his answer which meant he did not like to talk about this subject. For a while both of us did not speak and silence continued. The slight noise of turning pages seemed comfortable.

I was thinking about something in my mind. Aoki was almost the same as Kakahi. Both of them lost their parental figures at small age and then experienced more loss in time.

I had all the memories of Aoki so I guess I felt a sense of sympathy for Kakashi. But I had no idea on how to solve the problem in his heart. That job was not possible for me.

I could tell him that Obito was alive but my gut feeling told me that Kakashi would become more miserable if I did that. He would definitely search answers from Obito and would only meet Obito who was a bastard who wanted to destroy the world for a girl. Well I could understand Obito's love but his methods were too bad. It's not like Rin would want the destruction anyway.

Me - Kakashi , I heard that you are assigned as one of the instructors for fresh genin. Is that true?.

Kakashi - Yes.

My guess was confirmed that he had already started. Then the cannon would definitely start within a year too.

It did not feel like we could talk much anymore so I decided to leave the seat after one more comment.

Me - You should meet Yondaime's son sometime. I met him some time ago and have to say that he is really interesting. He does not seem to be intelligent like his father but is definitely even more mischievous than his mother. Maybe you could end taking up the genin team with him in the future. See ya.

I flashed a smile at him and went to the counter to browse through the available missions.

Looks like my luck was not good today. I only found two missions that seemed fine with me once again but both of them required me to travel a lot this time.

One was investigating a suspicious merchant and other one was once again bandit clearance. Both of them were not difficult but the locations were at least one day away from the village even with my speed.

Using my mind's eye skill , investigation would be easy. So I was more inclined towards this one. My prowess had definitely increased a lot and could rival elite jounin now so fighting experience from bandits would be very low.

In the end , I decided to go with the investigation one because of the location. This time it inside a big town which was known to house many gambling dens.

I wanted to earn easy money through cheating using mind's eye and maybe I could meet Tsunade too. After all she loved to gamble a lot.

I had already prepared few kunai and shuriken inside system's inventory along with ramen and some takoyaki. The inventory was really convenient to store food inside because the time flow stopped inside and I could eat hot and cooked food anytime.

While walking towards the main gate , I remembered the chakra signatures of everybody whom I passed by. My mind's eye skill was too powerful but it was also true that I should not completely rely on it.

I could control the distance , clearance of my vision from the skill with just a thought. So for now I had decided to stick with only chakra sensing and shortened the radius to 1 kilometer around me.

Still the effects were strong because I could even read the mood or guess thoughts of people from the subtle feelings given off by their chakra signatures. It was convenient because I could easily spot lies or feel emotions like anger , sadness etc.

The gate soon came in sight and it was time for me to depart. I just did that and hoped to encounter something interesting on this trip.
