Chapter 12

A week passed and today I decided to take my second mission.

After Tanaka gave Dragon's breath to me for free , I immediately went to test its sharpness and the result was too good.

I had no basics of sword techniques with me but my talent enabled me to weild the sword like it was extension of my body. So I could use it from various stances freely and did not feel uncomfortable at all.

My sword was little more than one meter long and the sharpness was excellent. So cutting tress in two along with my strength control, became easy for me.

After taking the body remodel pill, my natural fire and wind affinities seemed to have been strengthened a lot. So the whole was spent on training.

I practiced with my sword while my two shadier clones worked on fire and wind jutsu respectively. Kneading wind and fire nature chakra became almost too easy now so the hand signs and chakra consumption reduced a lot. In fact I could use C rank ones with no hand signs and could feel that higher ranked ones would also get there in future.

I talked with the sword spirit a lot too and got to know about the previous owner and his feats. His name was Rai and he existed about one century after Rikudo Sennin's time.

That timeline was chaotic one because the newly discoverd chakra allowed humans to train fast and perform feats which could not be thought of before.

Rai lived through his time and defeated many powerhouses in battle. From his middle age towards the end of his life , he served as a general for Shogun. But he was forgotten in time along with the Shogun.

I was really surprised because according to

Dragon's breath , in that time the elemental nations were actualy one empire and was ruled by shogun family. After Rai's death Dragon's breadth sealed itself so it did not know what ended the empire and was the cause of the formation of Elemental Nations.

Dragon's breath also told me that she had a spiritual connection with me now and talked with me through it. According to her she chose me because my talent was beyond questions but one more reason was that my spiritual wavelengths matched with Rai's.

I did not understand much and only understood that my personality seemed to resemble Rai. She also told me that she was a spiritual sword so the katana could be restored to the original from if it broke somehow but it would use hers and mine spiritual energy combined. I was amazed by this news as there was actualy no need to use materials to restore it. At the same time this fact also reminded me of Źanpakuto from Bleach anime.

One of the amazing facts was that my body got stronger a hell lot fast. In this week Ì did not even train my body much but my strength was close to breaking through to elite jonin rank while my chakra capacity had improved the most and already broke through elite jounin class. I guessed that my potential was now way higher than I had thought before. So using shadow clones and practicing jutsu contributed to the increased chakra capacity.

All in all my strength and ability could not even compared to before and I was more than ready to complete some missions.

The mission center was filled with ninja as always as they searched for a mission. Meanwhile I was not in a hurry today so I sat in the waiting are while scanning the crowd for any familiar characters.

Mentally I was also listening to the complaints of Dragon's breadth as she nagged that the so called ninja were really weak compared to the Warriors from her time.

Well I did not talk back because her words made some sense. At that time chakra was at the development stage while now after so much time had passed, it would be diluted by a lot after passing through generations. Not that I cared because there were plenty strong people too and most of them were currently enemies with Konoha.

When I just glanced at the front door , I saw an unexpected person entering the center. I could not mistake him for someone else because in Konoha it was only him who always had his face covered with mask and one eye covered with his leaf headband. He was definitely Kakashi but he should be in anbu.

I thought for a while and remembered that I had heard while watching the anime that Kakashi seemed to have failed one or two genin teams before he finaly passed Naruto and others. So it made sense that he was already pulled out of anbu by Sandaime because only one year remained before Naruto and others graduated.

Still Kakashi looked very bored and was absorbed in his Icha icha book while looking like he did not even want to be here in the first place. Well too bad for him because Sandaime wont let him he back in anbu soon. Welll he would pass team 7 anyway so he definitely wont be going back anytime soon.

I decided to have a chat with Kakashi because I was not in a hurry anyway.

Me - Yo Kakashi.

Kakashi glanced at me for a second and returned his attention to the damn book.

Kakashi - Aoki huh. Congratulations on your promotion to a jounin.

I was silent for a moment because I never expected the lady guy to actualy remember Aoki. Even Anko did not remember him. This guy at least had a very good memory then.
