Chapter 91

*Sigh* I leaned on the tree to make myself comfortable. This felt like another cigarette drag moment. After a mental lighting and dragging of the imaginary cigarette, I began to speak, "During one of my missions when I was out with my old lady, I stumbled upon a ruin around the Land of Sands. It looked ancient with almost nothing left."

"A ruin?" Kakashi asked. 'Damn you Kakashi! Do not interrupt me. Do you want me to forget the bullshit I'm putting together?' After screaming in my mind for a bit, I nodded in response to his question. "It wasn't the ruin that was important. I tripped over something which collapsed and sent me underground. What I found there was, dare I say; Unbelievable." The three standing before me were hooked. What use is the hook if I did not pause for dramatic effect.

After 2 to 3 seconds, I continued, "Documents, journals, paintings. They all spoke of one name. Thanos; 'A mad titan', as they called him who was hell bent on wiping half of the universe."

'Ah this is such a terrible idea. Someone, please stop me.'

"Universe?" Kakashi queried, to which I nodded. "Sounds crazy right? I would have believed it crazy too if I did not know their father's mother was from another world." I pointed at kurama. Kakashi's eye widened and stared at Kurama, who nodded in confirmation, making kakashi's already wide eye widen even more. Jiraiya on the other hand did not seem surprised in the least. That was an interesting development. Did this Jiraiya already know about the true story of the Sage of Six Paths?

I eyed him a little before I continued to bullshit, "From what I gathered, the place I stumbled upon was some kind of hidden clan that dedicated their life to preventing what the titan intended on doing. Interestingly there was no name of the clan. Of all the documents present, not a single name of the clan was mentioned" I needed to cover as much of my ass as possible, starting with the name.

Jiraiya looked to be thinking for a long while before he finally spoke, "Hidden clans like that usually consider themselves shadows; No names, so it's understandable. So, did the documents say how they were preventing this Thanos from destroying the universe?" I felt so embarrassed. The mood here was so serious I actually felt bad.

I nodded, "They spoke about some kind of stones. 'Infinity stones', they called it six of them. Apparently, these stones came into being when the universe was created. So,"

"So, he is gathering these stones and intends to use these same stones to destroy the universe, or wipe out half of it?" Kakashi was the one who one who interrupted and finished my sentence. The others had deep frowns on their faces; Jiraiya especially. If it was true, then the situation was much more serious than they anticipated.

"That is not even the messed-up part." Their frowns deepened even more when they heard me say that. I may have been bullshitting but I could not help the dramatic pause for 3 second. "They were protecting a stone." The moment I said that, the two men's eyes immediately widened. Kurama who was by the side had a confused look.

"That is a good thing isn't it?" Kurama asked. Looking around the sudden serios faces around. "Under normal circumstances, yes, but since the stones are here, it will make this world a hotspot." Jiraiya explained. However, Kurama continued to have a confused expression.

"Meaning there is a chance he will come here to look for the stone." Kakashi explained clearly with realization finally dawning on the face of Kurama, finally turning him serious as well. The mood of the place suddenly turned somber, with serious faces all around. Well, except me; my face was serious but I was rather prayer none of them saw through my bullshit. Because that was some very serious bullshit. My heart was pounding in my chest. Tears were almost threatening to pour out but I kept a very straight face.

A light chuckle escaped me which brought the three men out of their serious contemplations. "Like I told Kakashi-san. It does not change what I need to do." I looked to them and continued, "Get stronger. With who or whatever it is that intends to come, all I need to do is get stronger to protect those I need to protect." Their countenance relaxed when they heard me. Kurama smirked and released control back to Naruto who looked around confused.

"Ero-senin, Kakashi-nii. Sakura? Is something wrong? Kurama prevented me from listening." He complained with a pout. "Don't worry about that. Go get ready. I'll meet you both outside." With that I just left without another word. I moved away from the house till I could no longer see it before collapsing near a tree.

'What the hell was that?! Thanos?! Thanos?! What if it all just blows in my face? What if they find out it was all a lie? What would I say then?' My body was shaking with tears streaming down my face. I could barely breath. I knew my reaction at that moment was unreasonable but I was genuinely freaking out. The panic attack I had not felt for so long just came crushing down on me. I truly did not think before answering that question and before I realized things ended up the way it did.

Suddenly my chakra carpet picked up two familiar chakra signatures. I picked myself up, quickly wiped my face and forcibly tried to calm myself; Which worked in a way. Although my body had calmed down, there were subtle trembling here and there, but it was something you needed to pay close attention to notice so I did not mind. I finally turned around and saw the two men, Jiraiya and Kakashi walking towards me; Their expressions solemn as they just walked towards me without stopping.

I could not help but frown at this and was ready to disappear from there if anything went wrong; I had already released the gravity seals on myself. The solemn look on their faces gave me a bad feeling. Considering I was in an AU, I did not know if what I had said was actually something that had caused irreparable damage or I had touched on something I should not have; The possibility of varying consequences was numerous. Seeing how Jiraiya already knew the existences of other worlds judging by his looks earlier, I felt anything could happen.

"What's up? Is everything alright?" I finally asked when the two men stopped right in front of me. I was on guard but I tried to not let it show. I continually checked around for any type of traps that may have been laid but I found nothing. That did not mean I let my guard down. They were silent for a while and it was killing me.
