17 Chapter 17

"ENEMY ATTACK!"

"Navy? Why are they here?"

"Who cares? Mother doesn't allow any entry so DEPORT THEM!"

"ALL CANNONS FIRE!"

"Evil pirates! In the name of Justice you wIll all die here! FIRE!"

Cannon balls started flying to each other and the small war began.

"We both face dissent within our ranks," the Elder with the long beard rasped, his voice echoing through the chamber. "Your unruly pirates, our discontented Marines. They threaten the stability of our respective powers."

Linlin knew his words were true. Her latest conquest had brought in a motley crew of pirates, many of whom chafed under her strict rule. And she was aware of the growing whispers of rebellion amongst her crew and the Marines, fueled by discontent with the World Government's perceived weakness.

"We propose a solution," continued the Elder, his voice laced with a hint of amusement. "We send these troublesome elements to battle each other. A clash on a neutral territory, where they can settle their differences and purge our ranks of their presence."

Linlin's lips curled into a predatory smile. This was not just about eliminating dissent; it was an opportunity to test the true strength of her new crew, also killing the troublemakers while weakening the Marines. She could see the benefits of this twisted alliance, a temporary truce that served their mutual interests.

"I see merit in your proposition," she rumbled, her voice a low growl. "However, the terms need to be agreeable. We cannot allow this to escalate into a full-blown war."

The negotiations were long and arduous, each side vying for the upper hand. But eventually, a deal was struck. A small war using the seas of Totoland as the battlefield. The number of combatants and the rules of engagement were meticulously outlined, ensuring a controlled conflict that wouldn't spiral out of control.

But through his discussion, the gorosei could obviously see that big mom had talents outside combat and her risk assessment went up higher because the world government considers individuals who can think and have combat power way more dangerous than a brute who only knows how to fight.

But for now they need her and she needs them so everyone was at peace, at least on the surface.

A few days later Linlin got the report and a smile came onto her face. The troublemakers died in batches and even those who did not die had no time to cause problems for her because they had only the idea of surviving. Give someone something to do and their nonsense naturally won't be too bad. Seeing that things were handled, Linlin went back to training. The next time she would bury the Admiral, a hint of red glowed around her eyes as she continued to train against the mountain.

Four years later….

The mini 'war' between the two factions never ended and even expanded in scale but top level fighters who were Admiral level and above were prohibited and the battlefield constantly changed, no longer only relying on solely sea warfare but expanded to also land warfare. From erasing thorns to training troops, both sides were very happy with the results and no one mentioned stopping because fighting life and death in the pirate world was really the fastest way to train strong men.

As for refusing to be tempered? Even Linlin's own children were constantly tempering themselves there without any excuse, do you think you are special? Get to the Admiral level then you get an excuse otherwise be good and fight!

Not to mention Linlin opened a live channel for this and charged money to those who loved to see war. You'd be surprised at how bloodthirsty the people in this world were, especially the nobles who paid top dollar to see it live via den den mushi. But this profit had to be shared with the World government otherwise this business couldn't be done beyond the new world. Their CP would definitely shut it down so a win-win case had to be done.

Thanks to that Linlin could start building her Kingdom otherwise the delay would've setback her plans thanks to that damn Rocks, her funds for arms was at a much lower level after all. Because she needed a lot of material from all over the world, money flew like a river.

But because of this lavish spending, thirty five islands were at near completion and that's already working the homies without rest not that they need it but still the point remains.

Her Totoland Kingdom was currently going through rapid development in all sectors but the most important one in her opinion was the development of the people.

Pirates only recruit outstanding fighters or talents when they know about it through the newspaper or other intelligent channels but it is relatively rare to select talents through the common folk. The Don Quixote family in the future may have done this but how many talents did they unearth? All subpar combatants that were hardly useful.

Her situation was different, she had a large pool of people from thirty five islands and had ample time to turn them into excellent human resources by setting up a school and segregated her people according to their talent and they were trained by very professional teachers (slaves) that she generously paid high amounts of money (from the slave market) so that they can teach them and impart the greatness of the kingdom of Totoland (brainwash) and their mighty queen.

But everything she was doing had to be put to a halt because….

Rocks once again summoned all the cadres.
