10 Setting out!
Unlike Ainz, Thoth returned to Nazarick only momentarily, picking up a couple of books to read to pass the time.
Now that things are set back in motion, Nfirea should find us tomorrow and request our services, since we've made a name for ourselves at this point with two stunts and our brilliant gear, he'll probably use the same excuse that he heard about us from some friends.
Knowing Ainz, it's best not to mention it the whole plan, the man has a remarkable talent for BSing his way out of things without realizing he is doing things beyond human imagination, something so brilliant even Demiurge the happy farmer couldn't help but marvel at it.
That, or the fan theory about him being a genius subconsciously without realizing it thanks to his insane intelligence stat is true, which would certainly be interesting.
I opened up one of the books I grabbed and started reading, this one seems to be about some lore from the game, cool.
There was some event where Helheim and Alfheim were at war, with guilds from both worlds fighting against the other side for some crazy reward, I think Helheim lost, though Nazarick was left untouched.
The dungeon's reputation protected it from a potentially immense siege, much like the siege of 150 players and NPCs that failed.
Well, even if they did invade, there is no way Nazarick would have lost.
The lore is that Hel, the monstrous daughter of the trickster god Loki and his wife Angrboda, got into a hissy fit when Freyr the son of the god Njörðr and his sister-wife ended up being favored by Odin, so logically she sent her minions (players) to bring Alfheim down a beg or three.
Needless to say, they failed, and the players had to deal with a lot of punishments from the Goddess they failed, which resulted in a lot of guilds abandoning Helheim for Alfheim or other worlds.
It was a pretty cool story, I couldn't help but be excited imagining such huge armies organized by players fighting against one another and sieging cities and fortresses.
Very cool, I will definitely siege a city and lead an army in this new life, it sounds like a lot of fun.
Oh, I couldn't wait for when I visit the Holy Kingdom, as an angel, I could do so much to those zealots and their close-minded captain.
But dealing with Clementine would also be very enjoyable, I don't know why, but something in me feels alive at the idea of punishing the wicked woman, guess that's a part of the whole Seraph package.
And so I continued to read the lore book, imagining cool things I could now do with my abilities.
As the morning sun rose, Momon, Aura, and Nabe returned. We all set out to the guild again, taking up another boring job, which this time meant helping some old lady catch her cat.
Not kidding, I didn't even know the guild accepted quests like that, but I guess they need something for the copper plates to do.
It was at least amusing watching this giant hulk of a man in cool black armor trying to catch the kitten without accidentally killing it, which proved quite challenging.
After half an hour of intense self-control and careful maneuvering, Momon managed to catch the kitten, Aura, Nabe, and I were ordered to stand aside after the kitten slipped past Momon the first time.
Seems like Ainz wanted to prove his abilities, cool, at least I could laugh at this memory later, not now though, right now I was desperately trying to not laugh at the thought.
Try not to laugh, I laugh I die edition.
After this, we returned to the guild, and guess who requested our help? A certain boy with hair that covered his blue eyes, a certain herbalist and talent holder called Nfirea.
Nfirea invited us upstairs, where he explained the details of this quest.
"I want all of you to escort me to Carne Village, there are some plants that grow there at this time and I need to collect as many as possible, all you have to do is protect me on the way there, while I gather the herbs, and on the way back."
"Okay! I'm in!" I shouted, very much trying to act childish.
This is a great opportunity to improve my acting skills, so I will do my best to sell the act well.
"Well hold on Thoth," Momon shushed me, "What is the compensation for our efforts?"
"Yeah! Ai- I mean, Sir Momon's time is worth a lot you know?" Aura said, her eyes staring down at the human, if he mentioned a low amount of money, he would no doubt have his life cut short.
"I believe 30 silver is appropriate. It's only a two to three-day journey after all, I could also offer a discount on a few potions I make." Nfirea was blissful in his ignorance, not realizing the danger he was in.
"Very well, I accept the quest." Momon and Nfirea shook hands and the group began to prepare to leave.
"Lord Ainz," I approached Ainz while he was alone, "how about we invite some more people to go with us? Money isn't as important as spreading our names and showing our power right?"
"You are correct Thoth, but who should we pick?"
"I was thinking those people over there." I pointed at a table that was currently occupied by the Swords of Darkness.
Yup, I changed my mind about them, I want them to come with us. They would be important for Nfirea's character development, and if I rescued them from Clementine at the last moment, they would spread the word all over the city.
In other words, they were useful, also, I just want to talk to them, and inviting them on this mission seems like the perfect excuse.
Momon nodded and walked over to their table, his sudden approach attracting attention.
"Hey there, what can we help ya with?" The flirty blond elf joked.
"We just received a fairly lucrative offer from mister Nfirea, and since you helped us on the first day, I was considering hiring you to help us."
"We would be honored, Sir Momon!" A misunderstanding seems to have happened since Nabe and Aura refer to Momon as Sir, people now assume that's his title and call him Sir Momon.
Like a knight, but I think this is a good development, adds to the mystery and people love mystery, specifically gossip which would now spread for sure, only of the good kind hopefully.
"Right, I will pay you fifteen silver for this three-day mission, we shall escort Mister Nfirea to some village and protect him while he gathers plants, and then we shall escort him back to the city, he also promised us a discount on some potions."
"We should inform him of our recruitment first though."
"Indeed."
Nfirea had no issue with the extra firepower, and so the party set out of the city.

Sorry for the short chapter guys, but I don't have the time left to write anymore, I just wanted to mention some things quickly.
Dont expect two chapters every day from this point on, I have school, and it is the start of a new school year, so I will have to try since it is the second semester.
