13 Chapter 13 Encountering Rex

After continuous crying for a few minutes, Victoria finally rose from the ground with a determined expression.

"When can we rescue him?" Victoria asked, determined and resolute.

"Not now, but very soon," Jin Wei replied, smiling.

Despite wanting to complain, Victoria knew that their enemies were the Mirage family, one of the original families. Their strength was on par with the military itself, so they couldn't be hasty about it.

"Anyway, you should stay here and clean up the aftermath of your actions. I will go buy some groceries," Jin Wei nonchalantly remarked and went out of the room.

In this whole military academy, there is no such thing as a CCTV camera. It's because the original family's young masters also came to this academy, and they don't want others to know about their ability information. On top of that, every room was created as a soundproof room to maintain privacy.

This was the main reason Jin Wei showed Victoria his secret without any fear of others knowing. As for the possibility of Victoria's betrayal, Jin Wei wasn't worried since Victoria was his loyal subordinate; she couldn't do anything that could harm him even if she wanted to. This was the special effect of Turn.

...

Jin Wei entered the convenience store, conveniently located next to their residence. All types of products can be found here, from clothes to any daily necessities.

After Jin Wei ranked second, he got around 110 points, and he will get it every month if his rank remains the same.

In the military academy, points were distributed based on rankings. The first rank received 120 points per month. The second gets 110 points per month, the third gets 100 points per month and this process continues until ranked 10.

From rank 11 to 100 students get 30 points per month. Rank 101 to 200 get 20 points per month and rank higher than 200 get only 10 points per month.

Jin Wei considered his needs and started purchasing necessities for the month.

And surprisingly, everything was quite cheap for him since he had many points.

But those students who ranked higher than 200 don't even dare to come here. They can only eat the daily free meal the military provides.

As Jin Wei came to the cashier to pay for his stuff, he noticed Rex was also there, paying for all the things he bought.

Rex also noticed him and gave him a nodding smile and asked, "How have you been?"

"Yeah, all good. Already doing groceries?" Jin Wei asked with a smirk and got behind him with his shopping cart.

"Yeah, I don't like the free food the military provided. And since I have points, why not use them," Rex said casually, and the cashier just scanned his wristwatch and packed everything inside a few bags.

"Hmm, that's true," Jin Wei replied and gave all his stuff to the cashier, who then began to scan them one by one.

After the scan was finished, the cashier scanned Jin Wei's wristwatch, and a notification appeared on it.

After this was done, Jin Wei packed all his items, and with Rex, he went out of the convenience store and entered an empty lift.

Although Jin Wei has a space ring where he can store all his stuff, he doesn't use it. As on Earth, a space ring is quite uncommon and only a few strong people have it. So if he showed everyone he had a space ring, he would become a public enemy.

Both of them left on the 10th floor and just realized both of their rooms were right beside each other. Rex's room was 152, and Jin Wei's was 153, right next to each other.

"Haha, it seems we are neighbors. This should make things interesting," Rex said with a smile, and Jin Wei nodded.

"Well, how about you come to my dorm with your roommate? It's a good opportunity to get to know each other," Jin Wei suggested with a smile.

Rex thought for a moment, then nodded his head. "Sure, but first let me put these stuff in the room."

Jin Wei nodded, and they both entered their respective rooms.

As soon as Jin Wei entered the room with his stuff, he noticed the whole room had been well organized, while Victoria was nowhere to be seen.

But with his connection to her and his sharp nose, he realized Victoria was inside the bathroom taking a shower.

So, without saying anything, Jin Wei stored all the food and ingredients inside the fridge. Since all kinds of items for cooking were already arranged in the kitchen, he didn't need to buy anything else. However, he brought a piece of furniture that he hadn't even unpacked yet.

After everything was done, Jin Wei sat on his bed and let out an exhausted sigh. Just then, Victoria came out of the shower wearing the same blue dress she was wearing.

"What a sweet smell, are you trying to seduce me?" Jin Wei asked with a teasing tone as he looked at her with a perverted gaze.

Victoria just pouted and completely ignored him.

"Anyway, two of our neighbors are coming to visit us tonight. Do you know how to cook? I am not good with it," Jin Wei said with a pleading tone.

Victoria wanted to complain but just shook her head and went to the kitchen; on her way, she took some ingredients from the fridge.

"What a nice girl," Jin Wei commented with a teasing tone. Victoria just pouted and entered the kitchen, completely ignoring him. But her face was still red as a tomato.

Victoria was now inside the kitchen, cutting the chicken meat that Jin Wei bought.

"Hump!!! That beast, just orders me around. Who does he think he is, my husband?" Victoria complained in her head.

(Yeah, I am.) Suddenly Jin Wei's voice entered her head. This caused her to feel shocked for a moment, but then she quickly regained her composure and shouted with anger, "How did you talk in my head?"

(Well, what do you expect? We are both soulmates; it's only normal for us to be able to talk through telepathy.) Jin Wei again replied in her head.

Victoria just pouted and completely cleared her head, not letting any thoughts enter her head any longer, and continued her cooking.

Victoria now really cursing herself for not caring about her roommate. At first, she thought she would rank first because of her high talent, and no one would dare to take advantage of her, even if it was a male.

But because of this arrogance, she not only lost her first kiss to Jin Wei, but he also turned her into a vampire, causing her to lose her humanity.

But still, if Jin Wei wasn't her roommate, she would have never gotten the information about her father's whereabouts. And would just aimlessly search for her father's murderer.

Jin Wei was now just sitting on his bed, chuckling inside as he was enjoying teasing Victoria.

After 30 minutes, Victoria finally finished cooking and entered the room. However, she was shocked to find that their beds, once opposite each other, were now side by side, sticking together.

On the other side, there was now just a space, covered by a soft, comfy carpet. By the window, there was a narcissus rattan zen tea table with four round, comfy Japanese meditation cushions.

"What is all this? Change it back; I'll not sleep beside you," Victoria shouted angrily as she got near Jin Wei, who was sitting on his bed with a smug face.

"Haha, don't worry; I won't touch you unless you're willing. Anyway, here take this," Jin Wei said and handed her the package.

"W-what is this?" Victoria asked a bit confused.

"The military gave it to you. I also got mine," Jin Wei replied casually.

Victoria then saw her name was written on the package. So she quickly opened it with her bare hand. And saw two black uniforms inside the package. On the right side of the uniform, her name was written on it.

"It seems we will need to attend our class wearing this," Jin Wei muttered from the back. He was now also holding his new uniform, and his package was also torn apart.

After inspecting it for a while, Jin Wei felt satisfied and promptly stowed them in his space ring.

Victoria was now curious. As she saw previously Jin Wei took out that bottle full of blood out of nowhere. And now he even made his dress vanish. 'What kind of magic was this?'

Just like before, Jin Wei heard her loud and clear, and with a smirk, he replied as he showed his ring, "This isn't magic; it's a space ring."

Victoria was now very shocked. Space rings are extremely rare on Earth, and only a few people have them. And because of its high demand, the price was something that normal people couldn't even look at.

But Victoria quickly shook her head and regained her composure. Then, with an angry pout, she complained, "Stop hearing my inner thoughts."

Jin Wei just chuckled and wanted to tease her again, but then someone used the ring bell, so he stopped from doing so. And went to open the door.

As he opened it, he saw both Rex and Lily outside the door.

"Come in; think of it like your own room," Jin Wei said with a smile, and with a nod, Rex entered the room, while Lily just followed behind.
