31 31 - Ana?

Ana ate quietly with the cat until the girl's cell phone made a strange noise, as if it were vibrating. The girl held it in her hand, wanting to see what what had happened. Ataz just kept eating his breakfast, however, looking from the corner of his eye at the girl, curious about what it was she was reading.

Ana immediately dropped the bread from her mouth, and with wide eyes she said, "My God, today is Monday. I need to work in a few hours. I need to get everything ready" Ana then got up running, began eating faster and headed towards the bedroom while picking up some things.

Ataz raised his head, following the girl with his eyes to know what she would do. He, with his mouth full of waffles and syrup, got off the table and went after the girl. When he got close to the bedroom, he saw she had some clothes in her hand and quickly entered a small room, closing the door in the cat's face, preventing him from entering.

He looked at the door, wondering if Ana might be hiding something from him, but he didn't think she would be able to keep it that long. He lay in front of the door, as if waiting for her to leave, until he heard the sound of water falling, as if it started to rain only inside the bathroom.

The cat was startled and started trying to look under the door at what might be happening. He thought that maybe one of those strange creatures could have caught Ana, or maybe that she might be up to something.

Then, at the same moment, white, warm smoke began to come out from under the door, startling the cat, who walked a little back, away from the door. It was a little damp for just normal smoke, so the cat figured it could be steam, but he couldn't understand why Ana would lock herself up in a small room and keep steaming.

In the past, some people in times of stress or even wanting to have fun, used certain hallucinogenic plants to be able to relax or have inspirations for works of art.

Ataz widened his eyes, scared "Ana...?" He moved a little further away from the door, incredulous that Ana was a user of those strange plants that he saw people using in the past. So, the cat decided to leave the door, so that it wouldn't affect him either.

He walked towards the living room and sat on the sofa with his eyes wide, trying to process that his new roommate would be a drug addict. He didn't tolerate people who used those plants for that kind of thing. He thought it was a disrespect for the plants that nature delivered to them. Using them for fun was unacceptable for the animal.

After a few minutes, Ana left that room in another outfit, her hair wrapped in a towel and her body apparently warm. It had a different, more pleasant smell, which Ataz didn't even notice if it had smelled before, so he thought if that was the smell of that hallucinogenic plant.

Ana walked towards the room and sprayed a perfume on her body, which ended up taking away the original smell that she had when she left the other room.

"You think you fool me, huh? I know you're going through this to take the smell of the strange plant, you damn little drug addict," he thought sulkily, looking at her with a frown.

Ana walked towards the room, brushing her hair and realized that the cat was acting strange and looking at her with discomfort in his eyes, as if she had done something wrong. "What is it, cat? Do I stink?" She looked at him confused.

"Not anymore... But I know what you were doing," he continued to stare.

"Huh... weird cat," she said as she continued to comb her flowing, light hair.

Ana took some keys from the kitchen table and looked at Ataz, who was still sitting in shock on the sofa. "I'm going to need to leave the house early today, and then I'm going to go straight to work. Please don't destroy the house, cat. See you later," she said as she grabbed a bag that was hidden under one of the table chairs.

Ataz looked at her with an expression of indignation that she had suddenly left him alone, but Ana barely looked at the little one and already took her own things and walked to the door. Ana opened it leaving and closed it delicately, totally ignoring the existence of the animal because she was too focused on her cell phone.

"Well, I need to find something to do until she comes back... Let's see that computer. Maybe I can do something different with it," the cat thought, getting off the sofa and walking to the girl's room.

Ataz came close to the table and jumped up. He walked over to the keyboard, looking for the damn button he had pressed that day to turn it on. The cat then started to click on all the buttons, but none seemed to work.

It was curious how it was noticeable that the cat was getting angry because of its own tail. Without his command, the cat's tail moved faster, hitting the table harder, telling him how angry he was getting at the situation. It was so strong that it made a loud noise on the girl's wooden table, but it didn't even hurt the animal.

Ataz then started to walk on the table, looking for where he could turn on the computer. It didn't make sense that it stopped working overnight, or even that the power button had moved. "Why are things so confusing these days? Can't you just put the button in the same place? Is it like a challenge? Every day I have to find where the damn button is," he thought as he looked behind Ana's monitor.

Ataz lay on the table, leaving the tips of his paws out and placing his head under the table as if frustrated and thoughtful about how he would turn on the computer.

Under the table, there was a huge black box that had a very resistant material, but Ataz thought that it would not even be part of the computer. As Ana had not explained to him what it was for or saw it moving, he didn't even think that it could mean anything, however, Ataz saw something that caught his attention.

There was a button in the center of the box. It was much bigger than all the other buttons and this encouraged the cat's curiosity. Ataz jumped from the table towards the box and stared at it for a few seconds, wondering if it could be a little dangerous to press that button.

"I have absolutely nothing else to do. I don't think I have much to lose..." he thought while standing on tiptoe to increase his height. The cat then, with both paws, pressed the button in the middle of the box and, at the same time, that strange box started to turn on some lights. It was all in a shade of green that matched perfectly with the rest of the girl's computer parts. Suddenly Ataz realized that the entire computer was already turning on.

"Ah... so that's where the hidden button was this time," he said, feeling minimally incredible.

Before Ataz climbed onto the table, he felt a strange sensation near the box. He perceived it as a kind of energy. His hair stood up, not with a shiver, but as if something was doing it for him. When he pressed the button, he also felt something at the same moment, as if it were a small sting in his paw that he had never felt before.

Ataz stared at that box for a few seconds, wondering if maybe that could be the kind of new element he would be looking for, but it was so weak that he simply changed his focus, thinking that it might not work for now.
