This is a review up to chapter 40 of the novel. Once again, I protest the reduction of chapters. That being said, the novel is pretty interesting, super unique setting where the main character is a lion and all the other characters are animals as well. I'm very interested and hope to see humans introduced later on if this gets chosen. That being said, I will say I enjoyed Embers Ad Infinitum (I think that was the name) more than this. Although Embers doesn't have as unique a setting as this novel, it is very well written and I really like the author of Lord of the Mysteries and think the potential is very high, so I still prefer it. In addition, although the setting is unique, I find that that this novel can get a little repetitive and even slightly boring and it's only been 40 chapters (I'm over the leopard and hyenas already)! Although, as it has only been 40 chapters, of course it could improve in the future. Anyways, final conclusion, first choice for selection is Embers, but this is still a pretty good runner up.

So I was like “oh hey, a novel where the mc reincarnated into an animal. This should be a fun read” But the author had the bright idea to make this novel a tragedy. (If you’ve watched akame ga kill) the mc’s half sister got sheely’ed and chelsea’ed. meaning she got eaten until only her head was left. I thought that was it but the author did it again. This time it was someone younger than the mc who the mc brought along with her mother but the mother got killed protecting her child, said child was then killed because she thought the mc can protect her. Then the mc had the bright idea to turn the child’s killers into his followers. I stopped reading after chapter 200. i don’t want to have depression because of this.

Story is unique from its MC’s animal life progression while having a human soul. However, plot progression is really slow woth no visible direction for the story (150+ Chapters in). Their is a lot of potential with were the sotry can go and makes for a good page turner. I would liken this story to ‘Invincible’ in its simplistic events. In the end I would reccomend reading and staying tuned for the sTory. There is a good chance for it to turn into a very interesting read!
