17 Disciple in training (I)
"I AM FREE! I AM FREE!" Xieren shouted at the outside world, having gotten the permission from his father for a two year vacation with his new wife and disciple, Xieren set out of the Imperial city.
"Milord, you are being a bit too loud!" Akagi reprimanded, she was resting on a tree top, still feeling sore after having her world rocked last night...
Having said so, she saw Xiao Ling walk over to Xieren timidly.
"Master, umm... how is my cultivation?" She asked him, to which Xieren cleared his throat, taking on a serious demeanor and held her hand gently.
"How do you feel?" He asked her.
"...It feels like something cold is going through my body..." Xiao Ling replied, she felt a wave of Qi flowing from her master...
"That means you have successfully broken through from the Qi condensation realm. This means that your journey to the ascension of the martial realm has begun!" He smiled, patting her head.
"I'm proud of you" Xieren said, taking out a thick wooden log.
"Now, we will begin our first lesson!" He announced.
Akagi too was interested, however she could not get down from the tree now, grumbling to herself, she kept quiet, not wanting to interrupt the duo.
"Listen up now, The main focus when it comes to cultivation, is not the realms, but rather... the fighting skills" Xieren spoke.
"But if you are in a high realm, wouldn't it be less important?" Xiao Ling asked him.
"No, because what if you meet someone in your realm?" Xieren countered, Xiao Ling's eyes widened in understanding.
"Or what if you meet someone stronger than you?" He retorted, once again helping the cogs turn in Xiao Ling's head.
"I see... so that means I have to constantly improve myself!" She shouted.
"That's right!" He smiled, fixing the log sideways, it was now as tall as the little girl.
"Coming to the Mortal Sword realm, gives you five times the power of a normal adult human male" Xieren explained and encouraged his disciple to strike the log.
"Spread your legs and bend at the knees... perfect" He mentored her, showing her his stance and clenched his fist.
"I will now demonstrate it" Xieren walked over to a tree, took his stance and breathed in and out.
"When you strike, always keep a clear mind" He spoke, and in a flash, his fist struck the tree that utterly crushed the bark, his hand had gone through the tree, exiting from the other side...
"Wah!!" She let out a sound of excitement and copied the same movement.
"Keeping a clear mind improves the quality of the attack and also helps keep you alert-" Xieren stopped when he saw her about to strike the log, she had not even enhanced her fist with Qi!
"Wait! Wait! Wait!" He shouted frantically, quickly moving over to her side, grabbing her hand and stopped it from connecting with the log...
"Before, you attack, enhance your body with Qi, use it to strengthen yourself..." He ordered.
"How do I do that?" She asked him in confusion.
"Haven't you done it before? If you can gather Qi, there must be a way to release it right?" He asked her cryptically.
"I don't know!" She shouted, Xiao Ling was about to throw a tantrum.
"You can do it!" Akagi encouraged her with a smile.
"But I don't KNOW!" Xieren had to cover his ears when she screamed with her Qi enhanced voice, a gust of wind surrounded her, forcing Xieren to cover his eyes from the dust.
Akagi chuckled at the scene, reminding herself of when she was struggling to do the same...
"Woah! Master, look! look!" She smiled, observing the gray aura evaporating from her arm.
"That certainly... is a surprise..." Xieren commented, feeling a little dumbstruck, the Qi in her arm was not normal.
It was Void Qi, there was no mistake, no one would be able to create such a powerful force of nature with just Qi activation...
'Akagi hasn't noticed yet...' He told himself and walked over to the little girl.
"Xiao Ling, how many energies do you feel in your body?" He asked her.
"Umm... it's the same thing... but one feels lighter and more in quantity..." Xiao Ling replied, taking on a thinking pose that made him want to hug her.
"I see, then can you switch to that one?" Xieren asked suggestively.
"Un!" She nodded, the gray aura disappeared, and in it's place was a dark blue energy...
'Normal Qi!' He sighed in relief.
"Xiao Ling, promise me that you will only use this Qi for the time being, okay?" He spoke sternly, she would not understand the gravity of the situation but he would do his best to keep her safe...
The Void Body was something mentioned in the ancient texts, it is something that comes once in a million years!
'The whole thing regarding several realms after the celestial realm, makes me suspect there to be an upper realm... or realms... if they come over to this planet and identify what was inside Xiao Ling, it's all over...' Xieren deduced, looking at the little girl that destroyed the log of wood and laughed comically.
"Master... I'm tired" She complained, expecting this, he took out a tent from his space ring.
"You can go and sleep inside" He pat her head, carefully observing her sleepy expressions and coughed blood.
"Is it over, Milord?" Akagi asked him curiously, still on the treetop...
"Yeah, after all it was her first time using Qi..." He answered, jumping on the branch she was seated on and carried her down.
Akagi enjoyed his embrace and closed her eyes too, hoping to rest longer...
"How long are we staying here Milord?" She asked him tiredly.
"We can set off tomorrow, once little Ling is done with her training..." He walked into the tent, the inside was several times bigger than what it would from the outside, a little touch from a rune master that was proficient in Spacial techniques...
They entered their room, he laid Akagi on the bed and lied down next to her.
"I was planning on going further away from the country..." Xieren spoke, the soft touch of the bed enticed his eyes to slowly close down...
"I don't mind..." Akagi yawned cutely and rested her head on him...
"Goodnight..." He then slept like a log.
It was still in the afternoon with the sun shining brightly above them, but the couple slowly fell asleep in each others company...
