ROAARRRR!

Wilson roared and bit a bird in the air that cried in pain before it stopped breathing, without delay it swung its claws and sliced another bird.

A huge swarm of giant birds was in front of them and they constantly dived trying to catch some bees to eat, "Get out of here worms, this place is under my protection!" Wilson was already angry at the constant harassment.

It's been 5 days since he agreed to protect the hive in exchange for honey and the human tribe joined him later in the day, Wilson thought it was an easy job without much effort but he was sorely wrong.

Every day the hive was attacked by different forces, giant frogs from a nearby lake on the second day, giant ants on the third day, on the fourth day it was other yellow-painted humans who happened to be captured by ours.

And arriving today, the 5th day, an examination of migrating and starving birds chose the hive as a target and they have been harassing the place since the morning.

Roarr!

Wilson roared again trying to scare the birds who only backed up a bit but kept circling around waiting for an opportunity, "Can't you help me out here?" Wilson sent a telepathic message to Longhga who was busy organizing the hive.

" No!" Her answer was firm and dry like a boss looking at his worthless subordinate, Wilson scratched his head a little and decided to just fry all those birds, "Tell your bees to get out of the way if they don't want to die!"

Lightning began to circle around him little by little, the drones that were protecting the hive quickly left Wilson and stayed at a safe distance, the humans on the ground who were collecting the carcasses of the dead will quickly look for somewhere to hide as the Bear God is angry.

" ( Roar!!!)" Wilson let out a great roar and together blue lightning came out of his body and attacked the birds in the air, they tried to dodge but it was too late.

Brr-Boom!

The rays hit a bird and like a swift serpent they will seek another closer target, a great web of rays formed in the sky covering the sunlight, soon a smell of roast sparrow came to the air and the bodies of thousands of birds fell to the ground causing havoc.

Wilson took a deep breath to calm himself and looked around the hive, thanks to his battles of the previous days until today the field was all burned and destroyed, and he could see a fire forming in the distance because of the burning corpses.

"If this keeps up I'll end up destroying this place in a few more days!" He was feeling a little bad now for not paying attention to the environment and making the worker bees have to fly farther to bring the honey, but when he remembered that these bees also ate several of the corpses and had a fight with the ants over the bodies he stopped feeling sorry.

The flock of birds in the sky when they saw Wilson's attack that killed 10 percent of the flock quickly retreated and went looking for food elsewhere, by the time they left the whole place was covered with workers.

There were humans, bees, ants and even some predators and dinosaurs picking up the monsters' remains, their efficiency in collecting them was frightening with the bodies being cleaned with the naked eye and leaving only the bones behind.

Wilson sat down and took a piece of honey that the bees brought, he opened a wide smile when he ate the honey it was delicious as always but a question came into his mind, "How long will I be able to eat this honey?"

He tried to get this doubt out of his head but couldn't and called Longhga in the mental network, " Say what you want, I'm busy!" Seeing that the queen bee was working hard to keep the hive organized, Wilson went straight to the point, " I wanted to ask you a question, how long will your hive stay here?"

"We will stay until this place becomes unsuitable for our habitation or we are expelled by another opposing force!" Her response was like a program already written, "Oh, that's sad!" Wilson said mentally.

" Why sad?" Longhga didn't know this intention stopped what he was doing to ask Wilson, "Well from my point of view the situation where you and your hive are stuck in one place until it's unsuitable for you is sad, you can't see the world , enjoy your short life. Honestly you are trapped by your DNA and forced to just try to pass the species forward.

Wilson continued talking for a while as he ate and Longhga listened intently, she didn't understand many of the things Wilson talked about like freedom and DNA, "Shouldn't you give your best for your species and give your life for your hive?" animals live only to survive or pass on their legacy in the form of offspring so Wilson's way of doing things was confusing her a little.

"Well yes, but despite this you should live your own life if the situation allows, make future plans, rest, interact with others of your kind, these are simple things that make life good and knowing how to enjoy them is living!" Wilson sounded like a philosopher now, but it was simply his lazy inner voice speaking.

Longhga can't even respond before Wilson puts his head in the hive and sleeps with a mouth full of honey, she turns back to her work right away but Wilson's words stick in her head, "Should I rest sooner today?" She wondered internally, she slept at the same fixed time and woke up at another fixed time every day just like the entire hive.

But today she decided to give this thing called laziness a chance as Bear said and see if it's good.
