Because of Byaringan, this is not considered a secret, and many Uzumaki members know about it. Also, Setsuna didn't intend to keep it a secret, he wanted many people to know so more clan members would be willing to marry outside of the clan. So Akari told her sister Mito about the eye characteristics.

Both his sons eyes become byaringan around 10 minutes, and after that they turned black.
