Blinded Part 1

A 10 by 10 step room with a bed, attached toilet, closet.

What else does a man need to live? It's more than enough.

You might wonder why I am mentioning room sizes in steps.

Where I have lived all this year after moving out from home, I could only take 7 steps before I hit something.

A 400 SqFt Studio with an attached toilet, for which I paid 354 dollars each month.

When empty it felt spacious enough for one person but with cabinets, storage, a desk, and mattress, I could only take 7 steps before I hit something if I counted my step from the entrance.

That was already a luxury compared to how I had been sharing a room with my brother almost all my life having no privacy.

Having a small place entirely to myself, was not a bad thing either, I liked it.

A small place was much cozier than a huge empty house.

Taking a walk with her here, as she acted as my guide taking my arm to guide me around obstacles.

"Can't you heal your eyes as you did before?"

"Ah, [Restoration]"

I tried it, but

[<<Restoration>> can't be used on a monster]

"I can't"

We stopped the sound of the doorknob.

"Be careful there's a step here"

She helped me from tripping over.

"Sit" before she grabbed my arms and slowly guided me to sit on the bed.

"Wait" She removed my shoes for me.

"Here change your clothes", handing me clothes.

footsteps, before the sound of the door closing.

I started to change my clothes, Removing my shirt, before I started to unbutton my pants to remove them.

[What are you doing?]

"Changing clothes?"

[Cough Cough, There is another person in the room]

I jumped up from the bed, hitting something hard with my head. I stood up.

"AhHhHHHhhhH"

"What are you doing?" She said

"You perverted Women, what are you doing?"

Stuttering she said

"Ah, It doesn't matter does it"

Sounds of heavy footsteps, the sound of the doorknob, before the sound of the door slamming.

"How many people are in the room?"

[Only you]

I changed my clothes, before sitting on the bed.

Knock on the door

"ARE YOU DONE?"

"Yes"

"Let me help you get familiar with the room"

She took my hand and walked me holding my hands as she told me what was how far from me in which direction.

10 steps from wall to wall, a channel on the floor of the sliding door to the bathroom that was possible to trip over if not careful.

"Door to the bathroom was 6 steps to the right side of the bed" I was told like this by her as to what is where and from which position.

I could have never managed in the place I lived if I was like this back then, that place was so clustered. This was certainly a nice addition compared to that, being able to move around a little was not a bad thing either.

It helped greatly since it did not have a lot of furniture and I was able to use the walls as a guide to walk to the bathroom and practice walking in confined spaces.

Even with my enhanced hearing and senses, it was not easy walking, unable to see anything at first, on one instance when I tried to walk towards the bed I ended up stubbing my toe.

For that matter, it was much more difficult for me to sense anything close to the ground. I sensed anything that was around my upper body quite easily thus avoiding them.

In another instance. Chae was sitting on the floor and I ended up tripping over her. ending up twisting my ankle.

Although after that, I spent more time in bed trying out skills than actually learning to walk for a few days.

I was slowly adapting to my new life.

As for food, it was to be eaten at the dining hall or the various fast food and other stores available at the base.

But for me, it was different since for one I couldn't move due to injury, and second everything I ate was to be reported and noted down by the doctor at the base.

She used to bring our food to our room, where we ate it. I still couldn't use a spoon or other utensils to eat and couldn't eat properly. I was still learning to use utensils to some extent.

So, she did feed me while eating hers, asking me to open my mouth then she did give me a spoon full of what we were eating, once I was done with it she did give me another spoon full. I was fed like a child.

[You are totally enjoying this? Ain't you?]

"Shut up"

[Man outside the door]

Knock Knock...

Well, I'm back.
