Peaceful Darkness

(Inside The Black Ring)

"It seems that you have once again improved the mastery in the way of the sword." The mysterious person said with a surprised tone. His shock caused Saber to feel even better than he already did. Such an ancient being was continuously shocked by Saber's talent, it's something that Saber took great pride in.

"But, it is still in the level of Basic Mastery so I wouldn't lose control of my arrogance if I was you. What you have just comprehended isn't even more than 5% of the Basic Mastery Level." As per usual, the mysterious person poured cold water over Saber's pride, gaining a glare from Saber.

Saber then began flying through the space and approached the massive doors of the tower where he then pushed them open and entered the second floor which was the white room.

Since he still needed to completely refine his platform and pillars, he would focus on those first and then absorb the pill.

(Three Days Later Inside Black Ring)

Nascent Soul Saber stood on top of his now darkish blue-colored platform that had nine blue pillars as he smiled. His consciousness exited his mind domain as his scenery changed to a twenty-meter white room.

Saber then took out the red-colored Domain Lord pill from the glass bottle and swallowed it. Immediately, he felt a potent and extremely large amount of Sage energy enter his mind domain. Saber's consciousness once again entered his Nascent Soul as he drew the energy toward him.

As they entered a 10-meter radius of him, which was the distance that his platform covered, the energy changed from a golden-colored Sage energy, and to a darkish blue-colored Sage energy.

Saber then began slowly infusing this energy into his platform. It was an extremely boring and robotic task that could break the will of a weak-minded person mainly because of how slow one can infuse one's Sage energy into their platform.

Without the Domain Lord pill, Saber felt that it would have taken him up to a couple of years to simply reach the Domain Lord rank. Thankfully, with this pill, he'll be able to reach such a rank in a couple of weeks.

(Two Weeks Later Inside Black Ring)

Inside the white 20-meter room, one can see the figure of Saber, who had a calming aura surrounding him. On his head was a pair of fox-like ears that were dark blue and attached to his back were a pair of foxtails that were a mixture of gold, white, and dark blue.

Suddenly, Saber's eyes opened, revealing a pair of dark blue pupils with a golden vertical line in the middle. In Saber's view was a screen that had all of his current stats. His attention though wasn't on his current stats but his surroundings.

He realized that in a 1-meter radius, he was able to see anything as if it was with his own eyes!

If that wasn't enough, he realized that entering the Domain Lord rank not only doubled the amount of Sage energy he had, it also doubled his physical strength. Inside his mind domain, his platform was currently covering a distance of slightly over 1,000 meters!

His pillars also increased in height and were now 100 meters tall. As he finally finished processing all of this, he then gazed at the screen in front of him. The contents of the screen being...

Seeing his stats, Saber couldn't help but sigh as his expression was slightly gloomy.

"Why are you making such an expression?" Saber's master asked with clear confusion. With two tails visible, it's obvious Saber had just become a lot more strong, so he was confused about why he had such an expression.

"Isn't it obvious, now with such strength, no one in the Inner Sect will be able to make me use my full power." Saber said with a pained tone. He had long become a battle junkie and he knew it too.

Tsk!

His master clicked his tongue in annoyance because of the ignorance of his disciple. He then disappeared from the white room while leaving a few words that caused Saber to become annoyed.

"For the next couple of months, you'll be training with the android here. Until it's time for you to leave for the Inner sect, you'll be living inside of here."

Hearing such words, Saber couldn't help but exclaim, "Hey, is the android my master, or is it truly you?" He asked with disbelief. Ever since meeting this mysterious person who claimed to be his master, he hadn't even learned one thing from him.

(One Day Before Entering Inner Sect)

Inside Saber's home, Saber couldn't help but be annoyed. His training was useless compared to the first time he trained. Not only did he not enter a state of enlightenment, but he was beaten black and blue by the android.

Sigh!

Thinking back, he couldn't help but sigh with disappointment. On the bright side, training for another couple of months did sharpen his swordsmanship, it's just that entering an enlightened state always quickens the process and unlocks a new way to use his blade.

Saber then closed his eyes as he felt a little sleepy from continuously training for months on end. He was also hungry, but he had long gained a kind of immunity to hunger. Once he didn't get a serious injury that causes his regeneration to be used at an extreme level, then he would be able to concentrate without any food.

His sleep was rather peaceful as he entered a space of complete darkness. Inside this sea of darkness, he did not feel anything, nor did he think of doing anything. There wasn't any type of sound nor was there a smell.

His senses felt as if they were closed yet he felt as if he could sense everything inside of this sea of darkness. He felt as if he did not have a physical form when he was inside this darkness, it was as if this darkness itself was his form.

Time passed and he felt as if he was inside here for tens of years. It continued like that for what felt like centuries, but eventually, he was awoken by the bright light of the sun that came through one of the windows in his room.

He clicked his tongue in annoyance when he felt his consciousness back inside of his body but, he had a dazzling and serene smile on his face when thinking back to the place he was when he slept. The mysterious place where for the first time in his life, he felt a type of tranquilness and peace.

What he didn't realize was his dark blue hair and eyes turning a shade darker as the aura which surrounded him in a suppressed state also became slightly darker. Not only that, but the aura seemed to have changed from a wild aura to that of a calm one.

His once restless and disappointed expression that was present when thinking of his previous training was nowhere to be seen as it was replaced with a calm and aloof demeanor.
