A Great Misunderstanding

*BZZZT!*

The very fabrics of space buzzed as appearing in the skies and hovering over Saber's location were the shocking sight and appearance of hundreds, if not thousands of what seemed to be long light blue ice swords...

Swords that all pointed toward Saber's limp and unmoving body as if ready to strike it and rip it apart!!

...

"I wonder, how is it possible for an Immortal Cultivator to lose consciousness for no reason whatsoever. He can't be sick, so this doesn't make sense at all..."

Dawn, who sat on a chair watching over Saber's unconscious body, mumbled in confusion about Saber's situation.

While his eyes flashed in a gold color and gazing toward an object in the corner of the room that was oddly similar to a camera, he said.

"If I wasn't able to manipulate time and also change the scene of what those sneaky humans see in this room, I wonder what Saber's situation would be right now.?

After all, I'm sure those curious humans would want to investigate the reason why an Immortal Cultivator is unconscious for no apparent reason.!"

THRUM!!

His languid eyes revealed the fact that even though he was shockingly manipulating time, Dawn was still unfazed by such an action.

Unlike Saber who theoretically had infinite energy thanks to his ability to constantly evolve, for others, manipulating an element is normally a daunting task that could be exhausting if done for an extended period.

*Sizzle!*

*ARGH!*

While in the middle of his thoughts, a growl of pain escaped Saber's lips as steam escaped his top.

Dawn's eyes flashed gold as Saber's jersey disappeared, revealing to Dawn's eyes an infinity symbol that had undergone some change.

Unlike the previous times after reaching level 2 of the Undying Manual, this time there wasn't a silvery outline as it had morphed back to the original form.

"Dammit!"

Saber's eyes shot open as an angered voice escaped his lips.

His eyes flashed with utter coldness akin to an iceberg as his brain fully processed the memories of his origin.

"That old man...

Strong!

He's really fucking strong!

And even though I hate to admit it, I'm no match if I were to fight him, or my origin.

Dammit!"

Saber's upper body shot up from the bed as he blurted out his opinion on the fight that he had just observed.

It was a fight that made it clear to him how truly far back he was in terms of strength compared to his origin.

While in these thoughts, he didn't realize that there was a figure next to him who was incredibly shocked by the markings on Saber's body.

He was soo interested in them that he intended to further investigate them by closing the distance between Saber's chest and his eyes.

Saber's abrupt rise made a weird scene where his face and Dawn's were only an inch away from one another!

...

Inside the restaurant where the fighters eat after a fight, one can see the figures of eight contestants quietly eating food. In their eyes, one would realize that it had lost the previous luster all other fighters held.

*Flash!*

After a flash of bright light that blinded the contestant's eyes, the mysterious man who was the cause of Saber's and Dawn's fight being interrupted appeared, as if teleporting, as he gazed at his surroundings in confusion.

"Hmm, where are those two...?"

His voice which barely contained his excitement made it evident that he was greatly thrilled by the duo's display of strength.

But, before he could finish his words, the waitress who had previously met the duo appeared and respectively bowed toward this man before voicing out.

"If you're looking for those two handsome fellows then I'm sorry to inform you that they have left here and are most likely inside the rooms for contestants to rest."

*Flash!*

Without even bothering to thank the waitress, the figure disappeared in a flash of light, leaving behind a group of individuals blinded by the light.

...

As this figure appeared inside Saber's room, what he saw was the untouched bed and silent vacant room.

A bitter smile formed on his face as he thought of the idea that the duo was together, and when this thought entered his mind, another one followed almost instantly.

"Are they fighting each other?!"

With this thought in mind, he quickly disappeared from the room and appeared in Dawn's room in milliseconds as the shocking sight then entered his eyes.

"Huh?!"

His shocked and confused voice reverberated throughout the room, startling the duo as they darted their gaze toward the figure who previously stopped their fight in the battle arena.

It was the figure who had seemingly stopped them mid-air, or more precisely, this figure was the one to completely shackle them by compressing space itself.

It was a figure who held power much greater compared to the duo as he could kill them in an instant.

It was a figure who at this current moment was left with a jaw wide open in total shock that came from his core as he voiced out, while still in clear disbelief.

"When I said that you two were fighting, I didn't ever think that it would have been your tongues...!"

THRUM!!

An incredibly huge misunderstanding had just taken place as this figure who had seen the sight of Saber's and Dawn's faces being less than an inch away from each other decided that it was best to disappear from the room as he disappeared from the room in an instant right after muttering those words.

He who thought of himself as an upright and civilized gentleman, couldn't possibly ever think of interrupting this young 'couple'.

'Surely, youth has come a long way. In my days, it took some time before a couple of individuals would decide that they were meant to be.

Yet, after merely one fight, and knowing each other for less than a day, these two are doing things like this!!'

These thoughts ran through the mind of this powerful figure as he decided to give the duo some time alone.

Surely whatever he wanted to tell the duo wasn't more important than the bonding time of two 'lovers'.

...

"What was that!?"

Second Saber muttered in shock as the scene of a middle-aged man appearing and then disappearing from the room caused him some undesired feeling.

Being someone who was born with suppressed emotions, and over time these emotions had been suppressed to extreme levels, Saber was sometimes unable to understand the reactions and expressions of other living and sentient lifeforms.

Yet even if he didn't and couldn't understand this figure's expressions and words...

Saber still felt as if a great misunderstanding had just taken place, and he couldn't possibly be more right.

As someone who had a much better understanding of others' emotions, and to an extreme level at that, Dawn was able to easily pick up on what had transpired as he muttered.

"It seems that a misunderstanding beyond measure has just taken place!"

As he said those words, a certain memory reappeared in Saber's mind.

It was a memory that originated from his origin since it was of a time before he was created.

It was a memory of a scene from a novel his origin had read.

As this memory appeared, Saber's expression turned dark as he said with killing intent leaking from his eyes.

"Wait, did that fucking bastard misunderstand me for a fucking faggot!"
