Five little companions, including Ribombee, stepped out of Oasis No. 1 and found themselves in a vast desert, with rolling yellow sands.

"Ralts, Ralts."

Look, there are many Pokémon flying in the sky! What kind of Pokémon are they?

At this moment, Ralts noticed many flying Pokémon circling in the distant sky and pointed at them, asking.

"Hoothoot, Hoothoot."

I don't know, but they seem quite formidable.

Hoothoot stared with big eyes.

Indeed, these flying Pokémon were the Mandibuzz that Yuga had sent earlier in the morning for the Gligar clan and the Flygon clan to look after. After being severely reprimanded by these clans, they dared not approach the oasis easily and could only hover in the desert from afar.

However, there were still some bold ones among them who didn't seem to mind the risk and attempted to approach. After all, Pokémon like Mandibuzz had a dominant and unruly nature.

Before the little companions could realize, they had already attracted the attention of a hungry Mandibuzz.

The little companions soon realized that their attacker was a Mandibuzz, much like the ones circling in the distant sky. They understood that these Pokémon were formidable adversaries.

Vulpix was the first to react. It opened its mouth and unleashed a Flamethrower, intending to give this creature a lesson it wouldn't forget.

However, the Flamethrower was easily dispersed by the Mandibuzz's wings.

Ribombee was well aware that they couldn't handle this flying Pokémon, let alone the four young ones.

Hearing Ribombee's words, Vulpix immediately swung Ralts onto its back and sprinted away. Although Vulpix had a fearless personality, it wasn't foolish; it quickly realized that it was no match for the Mandibuzz.

Combee and Hoothoot flapped their wings and followed closely behind.

"Combee, Combee!"

However, Ribombee's strength was no match for the Mandibuzz's, and it was knocked out of the way and slammed hard onto the ground.

Seeing their injured friend on the ground, the Mandibuzz's eyes gleamed with hunger.

"Perhaps a little appetizer wouldn't hurt!"

Meanwhile, as Combee continued to flee, they saw their injured friend and, unable to leave them behind, returned to Ribombee's side and stood in front of the approaching Mandibuzz.

Combee had very few skills at their disposal. In desperation, it used its Gust skill to counterattack the Mandibuzz. However, the power gap between them was immense, and Combee' Gust was only a basic skill, easily deflected by the Mandibuzz's wing.

As Combee was sent flying by the Mandibuzz's wing, a red flame and two blue beams of light struck the Mandibuzz.

Unfortunately, the attacks from these three young companions, whose levels were lower than Combee, were like tickles to the Mandibuzz.

In an instant, the Mandibuzz reached the three young companions and gave each of them a thrashing with its bone club, rendering them incapacitated.

With the sight of the tender young companions before it, the Mandibuzz's appetite grew, and it extended its sharp beak toward them.

Naturally, Ribombee and Combee couldn't stand by and watch their friends become someone else's meal. They immediately took flight again to intercept the Mandibuzz.

The Mandibuzz had grown impatient with these two tiny Pokémon. It found Vulpix, Ralts, and Hoothoot more appetizing than the two insects, as it rarely had insect-type Pokémon in its diet.

Charging ahead, Ribombee was sent flying by the Mandibuzz's Steel Wings.

Glancing at Ribombee, who was knocked backward, and seeing Vulpix, Hoothoot, and Ralts lying on the ground, Combee felt a deep anger. It realized, for the first time, how truly weak it was.

This anger triggered an evolution within Combee. Its size increased continuously, and in the blink of an eye, it evolved into a Vespiquen.

A female Combee was an exceedingly rare occurrence among the Combee population. Only female Combee could evolve into Vespiquen, and not only were female Combee scarce, but their evolution was also much more challenging than that of regular Pokémon.

To evolve into a Vespiquen, a female Combee needed to reach level 21. However, the evolutionary factors within them were far more stable than those of ordinary Pokémon, making Vespiquen particularly rare.

This Combee had evolved by chance, under unique circumstances.

However, within a Combee colony, typically only one Vespiquen existed.

After evolution, the Vespiquen had either return to her colony, defeat the existing Vespiquen and claim the throne, or establish her own colony.

However, she only had one choose because even after evolving, she couldn't hope to defeat an existing pseudo-Elite level Queen.

Confronted with the nearly looming Mandibuzz, the newly Evolved Vespiquen unleashed a Power Gem attack. The Mandibuzz, taken by surprise, was sent flying.

Seizing the opportunity, the Vespiquen scooped up Ribombee and the others and made a run for it.

Despite her evolution, the Vespiquen still couldn't contend with the much higher-level Mandibuzz.

Having just completed her evolution and not yet fully mastering control over her new form, the Vespiquen was quickly caught up by the Mandibuzz.

However, just as the Mandibuzz was about to launch an attack against the Vespiquen, a massive figure descended from the sky and pinned the Mandibuzz to the ground.

Seeing the Flygon leader, who had arrived just in time, the Vespiquen breathed a sigh of relief.

"Flygon, Flygon!!"

The Flygon leader said to the Vespiquen, glancing at the unconscious young companions in her arms.
