The Last Day

The final day of the Day Care Conference mainly focused on the different breeders present.

After most breeders achieved proficiency and received certificates from the Breeder Association, they would seek employment in various Day Cares for a better future.

This event was specifically organized by the Association for breeders who hadn't found suitable positions yet.

The profession of a breeder often required a role similar to that of a scholar. They needed to have a deep understanding of various Pokémon species, be familiar with their habits, growth patterns, and even possess knowledge of their genetics and reproduction.

In general, any skilled breeder would become a sought-after candidate for major Day Cares.

Initially, Yuga thought about hiring a breeder for his YoYo Day Care to help care for the Pokémon in the Ecopark. However, he discarded the idea. His Ecopark held too many secrets; it wasn't suitable for an outsider to enter. Moreover, the number of Pokémon in the Day Care wasn't overwhelming yet, and with the help of Audino and Miltanks, there weren't any immediate issues.

Thus, Yuga skipped the final activity of the Day Care Conference and went somewhere else.

We know that MooMoo Milk, renowned in the world of Pokémon, originated from the Johto region. Among the top producers of MooMoo Milk was the MooMoo Farm in Goldenrod City.

The owner of the Goldenrod City MooMoo Farm was the current Gym Leader of Goldenrod City, Milton. Yuga's purpose for this trip was to meet Mr. Milton.

Yuga believed that the number of Trapinch and Gligar in his Ecopark was already substantial. Coupled with their continuous reproduction, the current six Miltanks couldn't provide enough MooMoo Milk to sustain them.

Although Yuga considered seeking Director Mond's help again, YoYo Day Care had stopped procuring from Lavaridge Town Day Care Center by now. Bothering them again would seem unreasonable.

So, Yuga thought, since he was in the land of the Miltanks, why not figure something out here? There might be a solution waiting to be found.

Naturally, Yuga's first thought was Milton, who owned the largest ranch in Goldenrod City. However, Yuga didn't know Mr. Milton personally, so the best way to meet him would be to visit his Gym.

When Yuga and Rand arrived at the Goldenrod City Gym, there were no challengers present. Apart from a few Gym apprentices, there was nobody around.

"Hello, can I meet Mr. Milton?" Yuga asked one of the Gym apprentices.

The apprentice assumed that Yuga was there for a Gym challenge with Rand and said, "Our Gym Leader isn't at the Gym right now. If you're here for a Gym challenge, could you wait a bit? I'll go get him."

Upon hearing this, Yuga knew he was mistaken and quickly waved his hand, saying, "No, no, no. You've misunderstood. I'm not here to challenge the Gym. I have some other matters to discuss with him. Could you please pass on a message to him?"

Thinking that Yuga had something important to discuss, the apprentice inquired, "Is it something urgent that you need to discuss with our Gym Leader?"

"Not something urgently important, just some private matters I'd like to talk to Mr. Milton about," Yuga replied, a bit embarrassed.

Upon hearing Yuga's response, the apprentice hesitated and said, "I'm afraid that won't be possible. Since you're not here for a Gym challenge and it's not an urgent matter, I can't help you contact the Gym Leader. It's beyond my responsibilities, and if I do so, it would violate the rules of the Gym."

Upon hearing the apprentice's response, Yuga wasn't surprised. He already knew that the Gym Leader wouldn't be easily accessible.

"Can you at least tell me where Mr. Milton is right now? I can go find him myself," Yuga didn't want to give up easily and asked again.

The Gym apprentice smiled and said, "That's no problem. Everyone in Goldenrod City knows that if Mr. Milton isn't at the Gym, he's definitely at the ranch. If you want to find him, go there. But whether he's willing to see you or not is a different matter."

As they left the Gym, Yuga's expression showed some disappointment. Rand noticed and asked, "Didn't that person tell us where Mr. Milton is? Why isn't Yuga happy?"

Yuga gently ruffled Rand's furry head. "Although we know where he is, it doesn't necessarily mean we'll be able to meet him. We don't know him, so why would he meet us out of the blue?"

Rand nodded after hearing Yuga's explanation, his face showing concern.

Seeing Rand's expression, Yuga chuckled softly. "Alright, regardless of the outcome, let's give it a try. Rand, remember, there are many things in this world that won't unfold exactly as we wish. What we need to do is give our best effort. Only by doing our best can we avoid regrets."

Rand nodded in agreement. He might not fully comprehend the depth of Yuga's words, but he felt they made sense.

Leaving the Gym, Yuga took out a map of Goldenrod City, located MooMoo Farm, and prepared to take Rand there to find Mr. Milton.

MooMoo Farm was situated in the outskirts of Goldenrod City. It occupied a vast area and was highly visible on the map, making it easy to locate in reality as well.

Following the map, Yuga and Rand traversed through the urban area of Goldenrod City and arrived at the outskirts.

The outskirts of Goldenrod City were flat and covered in lush grass, with only a few short trees sporadically dotting the landscape. It was indeed an ideal location for a ranch, and it wasn't surprising that the famous MooMoo Farm was established here.

Yuga's Budew, which was in his arms, didn't want to be held anymore. It hopped onto the ground and happily hopped around in the lush grass.

Rand's Blitzle also unleashed its four hooves, galloping joyfully across the grassland. Only the seemingly absent-minded Psyduck walked slowly behind Rand, its two little hands covering its head, looking quite adorable.

Seeing the three little companions playing so happily, Yuga's mood improved significantly, and the worries about not meeting Mr. Milton dissipated unconsciously.

People were easily influenced by their surroundings and the atmosphere. Even if their mood wasn't great, seeing beautiful scenery and a cheerful atmosphere could naturally brighten their spirits.

With light hearts, Yuga and Rand walked along the road, enjoying the scenery along the way. Suddenly, they heard an explosion not far away, followed by the roars of Pokémon. Yuga instinctively walked towards the sound.
