Taking Action

Bridges didn't expect to encounter a Gengar and Mismagius interfering at a crucial moment. However, he quickly assessed the strength of these two Pokémon and found that they weren't even reach Elite level, so he didn't pay them much attention.

"Mega Sableye, deal with them," Bridges calmly commanded.

Seeing Bridges preparing to take action against Gengar and Mismagius, Yuga couldn't just stand by and watch. He gave a signal to his Dragonite mother and rode it as they descended toward the battlefield.

Just as the Power Gem from Mega Sableye was about to hit Gengar and Mismagius, Dragonite mother landed heavily on the ground, her massive feet causing the withered grass to be trampled. She positioned herself in front of Gengar and Mismagius, blocking the incoming attack.

With a wave of Dragonite mother's large hand, the Power Gem was effortlessly dispersed.

After climbing down from Dragonite's body, Yuga recalled it into Poke Ball. It wasn't even reach pseudo-Elite level so it couldn't participate in this battle.

"Master Shimizu, what are you doing here?" Phoebe asked in astonishment, clutching her throbbing head.

"Just passing by," Yuga replied with a sigh.

Back when Mu Ya asked whether Yuga would help her seek revenge, Yuga had hesitated, but he hadn't expected to encounter Bridges like this. It seemed that he had no choice but to get involved now.

Gengar and Mismagius, who stood behind Dragonite mother, breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Yuga. If Yuga hadn't intervened, they wouldn't have known what to do. They understood that their impulsive actions had been inappropriate, but facing their enemy right in front of them, they couldn't control their emotions.

"Who are you?" Bridges looked at Yuga and Dragonite mother with suspicion and surprise.

Dragonite mother's casual action dispersing Mega Sableye's Power Gem had made Bridges cautious, and he began to speculate about Yuga's identity.

With such formidable power, can only be achieved by Champion level Pokemon! Bridges thought to himself.

Bridges looked around but couldn't recall ever hearing about Yuga. This young and powerful Trainer should have been well-known. 

However, it was understandable that Bridges didn't recognize Yuga. Yuga had only recently become prominent among the top executives of the League. Moreover, Bridges hadn't held any official position in the League since stepping down as an Elite Four, so he wasn't well-informed about Yuga..

Mr. Kuni'o had recently taken on a new disciple, and Bridges had heard the name but didn't know what he looked like. However, the primary reason for Bridges' information lag was his own ambition.

After stepping down from the position of Elite Four, Bridges had been focused on improving his strength, hoping to advance even further. He had stopped paying attention to events outside of his training.

Surprisingly, not only Bridges but also Phoebe was dumbfounded. 

Bridges' strength was something she knew well due to her past experiences, but Dragonite mother's strength was beyond her expectations. This young Gym Leader had already performed exceptionally well in the Gym Leader Challenge, but she had no idea it was to this extent.

Just how many trump cards did he have left?

Even at Peak of Elite level, Mega Sableye was still not Dragonite mother's match. This implied that an unevolved Mega Sableye would be in the intermediate of Elite level at best, making it an easy opponent for Dragonite mother.

As Dragonite mother prepared to attack Mega Sableye, a Dusknoir suddenly materialized out of nowhere and launched a Shadow Punch at Dragonite mother.

Dragonite mother was caught off guard but wasn't injured, thanks to her thick Dragon-type skin.

Seeing this Dusknoir, Phoebe's face changed dramatically. "Beware of this Dusknoir; it's a Champion level Pokémon!"

It was this Champion level Dusknoir that had nearly wipe out all of Phoebe's Pokémon. Otherwise, as one of the League's Elite Four, she wouldn't have lost so badly.

This elderly man, who had sat in the League's Ghost-type Elite Four seat for decades, had been hiding his true strength all along. She had no idea when he had cultivated a Champion level Pokémon.

Upon hearing Phoebe's warning, Yuga used his Insight to examine the Dusknoir that was confronting Dragonite mother.

This was indeed a Champion level Dusknoir, but it was still at the Junior of the Champion level. Yuga didn't believe it would pose a significant threat to Dragonite mother.

However, what surprised Yuga was that this Dusknoir able to breaking through to the Champion level with only blue potential.

Similar to how Pokémon with green potential were not easily able to reach Elite level, it was likewise challenging for Pokémon with blue potential to advance to Champion level.

Mr. Moore, who is the same generation as Bridges, also has blue potential Pokemon as his main team, but no one has heard that he has broken through to the Champion level.

If it were easy, Champion level Pokémon wouldn't be so rare.

However, just because it was difficult didn't mean it was impossible. Perhaps this Dusknoir had encountered some extraordinary opportunities. Yuga decided to put aside his doubts for now.

Dragonite mother wasn't one to be underestimated. After being attacked by Dusknoir, she observed the opponent for a moment and then lifted a fist larger than Yuga's head, using Ice Punch to strike at Dusknoir.

However, as a Junior Champion level Pokémon, Dusknoir couldn't possibly be a match for Dragonite mother. She was sent flying by Dragonite mother's Ice Punch.

Seeing this scene, Bridges' face turned extremely ugly. Was this the strength a teenager had? 

The thought that he had spent decades striving to reach the Champion level while a teenager could achieve such power was infuriating to Bridges.

Today, he must keep these two individuals here, no matter the cost! Bridges was determined.

Under the watchful eyes of Yuga and Phoebe, Bridges took out another Poké Ball.
