648 Mist

Due to Florges's fierce onslaught, the stronger Lucario found itself being suppressed, with those petals carrying the power of two attributes relentlessly assaulting Lucario.

However, only Yuga himself knew that Florges wasn't having an easy time at this moment.

Controlling the complex floral sea and sustaining such an intense attack took a toll on Florges.

Fortunately, the floral sea itself retained the effects of Grassy Terrain, alleviating Florges's exhaustion to some extent, making her appear nonchalant.

At this moment, Yuga was the only one aware of this.

This Florges was indeed extraordinary, turning this vibrant floral sea before them into something magnificent. In fact, if you were to compare, Yuga's Florges was even stronger than Absol, just that Absol possessed the ability to do Mega Evolvolution, hence Absol Alwasy had an Upper hand over Florges.

Defeating a pseudo-Elite level Absol without Mega Evolution, it wasn't strange for the more potent Florges to suppress Lucario.

However, Yuga knew that Lucario was not as simple as it appeared.

Because it was an Aura Pokémon, and its Trainer was an Aura user.

Just as Yuga's King of Ghost Ability enhanced the strength of Ghost-type Pokémon, Riley's Aura Ability could similarly enhance Aura Pokémon's power.

As Florges continued controlling the petal attacks, Lucario countered by constantly reinforcing its defenses with Iron Defense. Neither side could seem to gain an upper hand.

Seeing both sides stuck in a stalemate, Yuga and Riley's minds raced, trying to find a way to break the deadlock.

"Lucario, use Bone Rush!" Riley spoke up at this moment.

Lucario, upon hearing this, swiftly pulled its two fists apart, conjuring a white bone club out of thin air, twirling it vigorously in its hands.

The rapidly spinning bone club formed a shield, keeping all the petals at bay. Meanwhile, Lucario, while brandishing the bone club, charged toward Florges at high speed.

"Florges, use Grass Knot."

Naturally, Yuga couldn't afford to give Lucario a chance to get close. Florges had no prowess in close combat, and once Lucario closed the distance, it would be at a significant disadvantage.

As Lucario sprinted forward, it suddenly noticed several vivid green vines extending from the lush flowerbed, directly binding its limbs, forcing it to come to a halt.

As a Fighting-type Pokémon, Lucario possessed great strength. The vines restraining it snapped with a blink of an eye.

But Florges's Grass Knot wasn't that simple.

The moment Lucario broke free from the restraints, it discovered more vines coiling around its limbs, and these ones were getting tighter.

The vines multiplied continuously, regardless of Lucario's strength; it couldn't break free. Even the bone club it wielded halted.

Without the bone club for defense, the airborne petals transformed once more into a fierce storm, and Lucario's body resounded with a "ding-ding" sound.

Seeing this scene on the field, Riley was on the verge of frustration.

Was this still Florges? It seemed more like a monster!

Riley couldn't help but imagine what it would be like if Florges were to reach pseudo-Elite level, or even Elite level in the future.

With this in mind, Riley finally began to use his own Aura Ability.

He closed his eyes and, in his heart, called out to Lucario. An instant connection formed between them.

As lifelong companions who had grown up together, Riley and Lucario had an unparalleled level of understanding.

While Yuga focused on the battlefield, he suddenly noticed a blue energy emanating from Riley's body, which directly fell upon Lucario.

It's here! The power of Aura!

Yuga thought to himself.

In an instant, the amplification from Aura surged through Lucario. Vines that had bound it swiftly snapped apart, and Lucario regained its freedom.

With newfound freedom, Lucario unleashed an Aura Sphere, a blue energy sphere that reached Florges in the blink of an eye, striking her.

This attack was potent!

However, Florges didn't collapse under this assault. She merely staggered for a moment but quickly steadied herself.

This was the dignity of a queen.

The entire floral sea was her domain, and as long as she willed it, she would never falter.

Lucario charged toward Florges once more, knowing that if it could get close to her, victory would be within its grasp.

Seeing Lucario approaching, Florges's expression turned cold, and suddenly, a pink mist enveloped her body.

But it wasn't just around Florges; Lucario and Riley soon noticed that a mist began to form above the entire floral sea, enhancing the dreamlike appearance of the surroundings.

Lucario quickly realized that a thick mist now hung over the floral sea. Simultaneously, it lost sight of Florges.

Yet, Lucario didn't fret about Florges's disappearance because it was an Aura Pokémon. Even without eyes, it could sense its surroundings through the power of Aura. Finding Florges should be easy.

However, Lucario soon realized something was amiss.

Its Aura inexplicably couldn't penetrate the mist and spread outward. Even its connection with Riley was weakened.

The dense mist that had arisen within the floral sea turned out to be the Misty Terrain, one of the two foundational abilities that composed this floral sea. The substantial Fairy-type energy present in the mist obstructed the diffusion of Aura.

Yuga had once contemplated making Misty Terrain or Grassy Terrain a special domain that repelled other energies. But the difficulty of realizing this idea was immense. The world was filled with various energies, making it nearly impossible to exclude them all. Even the extraordinary Florges couldn't accomplish such a feat.

However, while excluding external energies might be impossible, inhibiting the spread of a particular type of energy was manageable for Florges.

Outside the battlefield, Riley lost track of Lucario due to the mist's concealment. His connection with Lucario weakened, and his eyes reflected his anxiety.

Above the entire floral sea, the mist drifted in a magical, dreamlike manner. Interestingly, the mist remained contained above the flowers, never spilling beyond the floral sea's boundaries.

In the mist-shrouded floral sea, everything fell silent. The petals that had danced in the air descended back into the floral sea, as if they had never been there.

Within the battlefield, Lucario attempted to expand its Aura, but the mist ahead suddenly churned, and a beam of light struck it.

It turned out Florges, concealed within the mist, had used Moonblast to ambush Lucario.
