707 Dispelling the Clouds

Two long bridges formed by Beautifly and Dustox stretched far into the sky, creating a spectacular scene that left Yuga and Zaden in awe.

Just when they thought that the migration of Beautifly and Dustox was about to conclude peacefully, a dark serpent suddenly appeared out of nowhere, charging aggressively towards the swarm of butterflies.

Upon closer inspection, Yuga and Zaden realized that this dark serpent was composed of Taillow and Swellow.

The number of Taillow and Swellow that had launched this surprise attack was staggering. Yuga suspected that almost all the Taillow and Swellow in the entire Petalburg Forest had gathered together.

This serpent lunged towards the butterfly swarm, abruptly severing the bridge formed by the Beautifly and Dustox.

The startled butterfly swarm scattered in all directions, shattering the beautiful and harmonious scene.

Zaden, who had little experience, was left dumbfounded by this sudden turn of events.

"Don't just stand there, act quickly!" Yuga nudged the still-stunned Zaden, snapping him back to reality.

Yuga sent out all of his Pokémon, while Zaden used Capture Mark to soothe the leaders within the butterfly swarm, aiming to calm the entire startled swarm.

However, the number of Taillow and Swellow in this surprise attack was simply overwhelming. Yuga and Zaden's Pokémon couldn't handle them all.

Yuga noticed that the other forest rangers in three different directions were also locked in a fierce battle.

This couldn't continue; the dispersion of the butterfly swarm was only a matter of time!

Watching the sky darkening with the Taillow and Swellow, Yuga recalled his Dragonite and Vivillon.

Once the two Pokémon returned, Yuga whispered a few words to them, and they nodded before flying back into the battlefield.

At this point, due to the efforts of the forest rangers in various directions, the startled butterfly swarm had calmed down and begun to counterattack the Taillow and Swellow, led by the leading Beautifly and Dustox.

However, the individual combat abilities of the Beautifly and Dustox were far inferior to those of the Taillow and Swellow, so they were still being pushed back.

Yuga's Dragonite returned to the scene and soared into the sky.

It closed its eyes and threw a blue light ball into the sky, causing dark clouds to quickly gather.

Meanwhile, Vivillon scattered a sparkling powder over itself and rushed towards the Taillow and Swellow.

Adorned with this glittering powder, Vivillon looked like the most dazzling presence on the battlefield.

Any Taillow and Swellow that saw Vivillob seemed to be filled with hatred and abandoned the Beautifly and Dustox, charging angrily towards Beautifly.

Vivillob used its inherited ability, "Rage Powder." This skill allowed it to attract the attention of all enemies on the field, drawing their attacks towards itself.

Before using "Rage Powder," Vivillon had already maximized its stats with "Quiver Dance." At this moment, its speed was exceptionally fast, effortlessly darting among the Taillow and Swellow.

The Taillow and Swellow, under Vivillon's influence, gathered behind it. They couldn't catch up with Vivillon, gradually forming a long line trailing behind it.

While the Taillow and Swellow wanted to attack Vivillon, they were constantly eluded by its agile movements.

With Vivillon's diversion, the attacks on the Beautifly and Dustox were significantly reduced. Yuga then had Zaden inform the other forest rangers to continue organizing their migration.

On the other side, Dragonite, which was using "Rain Dance," continued to gather dark clouds in the sky.

The clusters of dark clouds grew denser, gradually covering the entire sky above the canyon.

The oppressive atmosphere created by those pitch-black clouds made everyone feel a heavy sense of foreboding.

At that moment, Dragonite suddenly rushed into the dark clouds. The entire cloud mass seemed to boil as it started to churn violently.

Even the Vivillon below, which was keeping countless Taillow and Swellow in check, looked at the overwhelmingly oppressive cloud cover with a hint of fear in their eyes.

Within the butterfly swarm, there was a moment of unrest, but the forest rangers managed to calm them down, continuing to organize their migration.

The dark clouds gradually began to converge, the cloud cover decreasing in size but growing more oppressive in feeling.

Eventually, the entire cloud cover shrank to only encompass the central area of the canyon, while the butterfly swarm remained outside of it.

The dark clouds transformed into black clouds, absorbing the surrounding light, causing the entire canyon to dim.

Within the tumultuous black clouds, a golden lightning bolt suddenly appeared, followed by countless electrical currents coursing through the cloud mass, intensifying its turmoil.

Vivillon knew it was time and, with the massive swarm of Taillow and Swellow behind it, charged directly beneath the black cloud.

Suddenly, a light rain began to fall from the sky.

Vivillon, which was leading the Taillow and Swellow, erected a purple energy shield formed by its strong Psychic power, keeping the raindrops at bay.

Despite being soaked by the heavy rain, the Taillow and Swellow remained undeterred, continuing to chase Vivillon angrily, resembling a scene of "moths to a flame."

At this moment, Yuga appeared near Vivillon riding on his Charizard. He recalled Vivillon with a Pokémon ball and swiftly left the area within the cloud cover.

With the loss of Vivillon's trail, the anger in the Taillow and Swellow suddenly dissipated, leaving them momentarily bewildered.

Before they could make sense of the situation, a thick, golden lightning bolt descended from the sky, piercing through the entire Taillow and Swellow group.

Struck by the lightning, the Taillow and Swellow emitted piercing cries of agony, and then one by one, they fell from the sky, trailing smoke.

The enormous lightning bolt blasted a massive crater into the ground, and the descending Taillow and Swellow landed within this smoky pit.

However, many of the Taillow and Swellow proved true to their name, "Swellow," and persisted in the sky.

(Note: Taillow chinese name is proud swallow and Swellow is king swallow)

Although the golden lightning bolt appeared formidable, the sheer number of Taillow and Swellow was too great. The electrical current was distributed among each Pokémon, lessening its impact.

Otherwise, Yuga wouldn't have employed this tactic. If the lightning struck a single Taillow or Swellow, even the most resilient of them would have turned to ashes.

At this point, Yuga's Dragonite emerged once again from the clouds, poking its round head out. It extended its hand, summoning another wave of electrical currents to cover the remaining Taillow and Swellow.

This time, the electrical current was significantly weaker.

However, the remaining Taillow and Swellow could no longer endure. They, too, fell like dumplings into the massive pit below.

With the main force of Swellow defeated by Dragonite and Vivillon's combined efforts, the scattered Swellow were no longer a problem.

The migration of Beautifly and Dustox could finally resume.

The black cloud cover gradually dissipated as Dragonite dispersed it. Brilliant sunlight once again illuminated the earth, shining upon the Beautifly and Dustox.

The life journey of the Beautifly and Dustox was about to begin.
