14 Chapter 13: The Vigilante Spider Man

Timeline: August 25, 1947

Time:Night

Location: New York City, Times Square

.....

In the busy streets of Times Square, a worried man in his forties hurried along with a friend. They were carrying weapons, afraid of what might happen if they didn't deliver them on time.

"Come on, let's move! If we don't deliver these weapons, the boss will be really mad!" the older man urged, feeling the pressure.

They walked faster, trying to avoid drawing attention to themselves. But suddenly, a dark figure appeared in front of them.

Stop right there!"a dark figure said

As the two men stood frozen in fear, the dark figure stepped forward into the dimly lit alleyway, revealing himself to be none other than Spider-Man.

"You look like you were caught by your wife having some mistress," Spider-Man quipped, his voice tinged with amusement as he struck a classic superhero pose, one hand on his hip and the other pointing dramatically at the startled men.

"You are the Spider-Man, the new vigilante that I've heard about," the older man said, his voice trembling with fear.

Spider-Man nodded, his eyes gleaming behind his mask. "That's right. And it looks like you two are up to no good."

The younger man scoffed, trying to regain his bravado. "So what if we are? You can't stop us, Spider-Freak."

Spider-Man remarked, "Seems like you're a tough guy, huh? Feeling pretty confident?" Then, he quickly shot webs onto their wrists.

Spider-Man's webbing swiftly wrapped around the wrists of the two men, trapping them and making it impossible for them to use their weapons. The younger man tried to break free, but the webbing held tight, keeping him firmly in place.

The older man glared at Spider-Man, his expression a mix of fear and defiance. "You can't just interfere like this! We have orders to fulfill!" His voice shook a bit, showing he was really scared. "And trust me, you don't want to mess with our boss. He's not someone you want to cross."

Spider-Man sensed the man's fear, paying close attention to his body language and tone. It was obvious that the older man was more scared of their boss than of Spider-Man.

Spider-Man tilted his head, looking at the two men with a curious yet determined expression. "Boss, huh? Who's giving you these orders?" His asking a simple straightforward word.

The older man's eyes widened at Spider-Man's words, realizing that he might have revealed too much. He quickly closes his mouth shut, refusing to say another word.

Come on, spill the beans," Spider-Man urged, his voice firm but not unkind. "I can make this easy for you or really, really difficult. Your call."

Despite Spider-Man's warning, the two criminals stayed quiet, refusing to speak, they seemed determined to keep their mouths shut.

"Tick-tock, gentlemen," he said, his tone tinged with a hint of warning. "Time's running out. You can either cooperate with me or face the consequences."

"And just so you know," he added with a devilish chuckle, "When i said consequences I mean, you two are already being stuck in the lamp post right?, (smirk) I'll make sure everyone sees you stark naked! How's that for a predicament?"

"Alright, alright, we'll talk!" the older man blurted out, his voice shaking with fear. He glanced anxiously between Spider-Man and the alley around them, picturing the embarrassing situation the hero had threatened. The idea of everyone seeing him naked and making fun of him was scarier than going to jail.

Spider-Man raised an eyebrow, his face hidden behind the mask. "Smart move," he said, sounding both amused and satisfied. "Now spill it. Tell me everything you know.

Feeling relieved to avoid humiliation, the older man nodded vigorously, eager to cooperate. But before he could utter a word, the younger one butted in, sounding defiant and bold.

"Don't say anything, old man! They said there will be consequences," the younger man warned, his tone brash and reckless.

The older man's eyes widened and said, "Shut the fuck up!" he hissed, he whispered really harshly. "Do you want everyone to see us naked? If you don't want to talk, then get ready to be naked in front of everyone!"

The young man began, "bu-but," but he was quickly interrupted by the older man. Before the younger man could continue, he interjected, "No 'buts,' Spider-Man. I'll speak now."

"Do you know the group called 69?" the older man asked, his voice low and urgent.

Spider-Man's response was unexpected. "69? You mean the position? You know what I mean, right? S-- ahem, anyway, I don't know what you mean."

Ai system:....

Young man:....

"Uh, what?" the older man stuttered

"If you don't get what I'm saying," the old man began, but before he could finish his sentence, his words were cut short. His eyes widened in shock as he struggled against the webbing, desperation filling his voice. "Help... me..." he gasped, his breaths becoming shallow and labored. But his efforts were in vain as his struggles grew weaker, and soon, his body went limp. and Bubbles formed at his lips as he struggled to breathe. Then, he died

Spider-Man felt extremely shocked as he witnessed the sudden death of the old man. He struggled to understand what was happening, feeling deeply saddened as he watched as the Old Man's lifeless body still stuck from the Lamp post, tangled up in the webbing.

Spider-Man was utterly baffled by what had just occurred. His mind was in disarray, struggling to comprehend the sudden and tragic turn of events.

The younger man, glancing at the lifeless body of the older man beside him, reiterated his earlier warning, his voice trembling with fear. "See, I warned you about the consequences of mentioning that word."

Spider-Man's mind raced with questions, but he knew he had to stay focused. "What do you mean by 'that word'?" he asked the remaining culprit, his voice tinged with urgency.

The young man shifted nervously, avoiding Spider-Man's gaze. "It's... it's a word that brings death," he replied, his tone hushed with fear.

With a swift punch, Spider-Man knocked the young man unconscious. He couldn't risk more lives being lost.

" What's going on, System?" Spider-Man silently asked in his mind, his thoughts tinged with worry.

The System responded promptly, its digital voice resonating within Spider-Man's mind with a nonchalant expression. "[Host, it appears that the old man was subjected to a curse. Speaking certain taboo words triggers the curse, leading to fatal consequences]."

Spider-Man's brow furrowed in deep concentration as he absorbed the System's analysis. A curse... taboo words... It was a revelation that sent shivers down his spine

AI System: "[Host, it seems like we're dealing with the work of a sorcerer or a witch]."

The AI System suggested sorcery or witchcraft, which left Spider-Man stunned. The idea that someone could wield magic to manipulate life and death terrified him.

"Are you saying someone out there has the ability to curse people?" Spider-Man asked the System, feeling the weight of the situation sink in. The idea of going up against someone with that kind of dark power was seriously daunting.

The System replied calmly. ["Yes Host, there's a chance. Sorcerers and witches have old secrets and special powers that can change how things work."]

"Wait, sorcerers and witches exist here too?" Spider-Man asked, his mind spinning with the implications of such supernatural beings

Ai System: "[Yes, indeed, Host. Sorcerers and witches exist in this world. They possess unique powers and ancient knowledge]"

Spider-Man's expression hardened as he grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Turning his attention to the deceased older man, Spider-Man couldn't help but feel a pang of sorrow. He may have been involved in criminal activities, but his death was a stark reminder of the fragility of life

Still, he couldn't ignore this danger. If there were people out there who have such powers, innocent lives would remain in danger

As Spider-Man grappled with the shocking revelation of sorcery and witchcraft in the city, he knew he had to take action to prevent further harm. With a sense of urgency, he instructed the Spider-Man System to contact the police.

"System, call the police," Spider-Man commanded, his voice firm and determined.

"[Roger, host]" the AI System responded promptly, acknowledging Spider-Man's request.

Meanwhile, in his office, Captain Edward Wilson, renowned for his investigative prowess, was startled by the ringing of the telephone.

"Hello, who is this?" Edward answered, his voice authoritative yet curious.

To his surprise, the voice on the other end identified itself as Spider-Man, the name that had suddenly become widely known among the people as the new vigilante.

"Spider-Man? let me guess another one caught?" Edward inquired, his instincts as a investigatory kicking in

"Yes, sir," Spider-Man responded respectfully, careful to maintain the anonymity of his true identity. Despite his respect for Captain Wilson his father, Spider-Man knew that revealing his secret to his father could potentially endanger their family.

"Thank you for the information, Spider-Man," Edward said, his tone conveying both gratitude and concern. "We'll handle it from here. Just remember, if you come across any more trouble, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help make this city safe for everyone."

"Roger, sir," Spider-Man replied, his voice tinged with concern. With that, he ended the call, his mind racing with a mixture of emotions. While he was relieved to have informed the authorities about this but he couldn't shake the worry that his actions might put his father in harm's way.

As Spider-Man swung through the city streets, his sleek black costume contrasted sharply against the backdrop of the night sky. The eye of his mask glowed with a soft blue hue, matching the intricate spider emblem on his chest and it's also match on his shoulders.

Down below, people on the streets noticed him and gasped in amazement. "Look, it's Spider-Man!" they exclaimed, pointing up at the mysterious figure.

"He's amazing! Did you see that move?" someone shouted, impressed by Spider-Man's agility.

A crowd quickly gathered, cheering and clapping as Spider-Man swung by. "You're awesome, Spider-Man!" they called out, showing their appreciation for his heroics.

Spider-Man felt proud and determined to keep using his powers to help others, knowing that he had the support of the people he protected.

As Spider-Man swung away into the night, he realized that the encounter was just the beginning. The mysteries surrounding the cursed word and the dangerous group known as "69" would continue to haunt him down.

I wasn't bitten by a radioactive spider; I became Spider-Man with the help of the system.

I will teach Peter Parker to become Spider-Man in the future. But for now, there is only one Spider-Man, and you're looking at him.
