81 Prologue 2

*Going to be using BCE as standard measure of time until the CE for convenience.

Dawn of Mankind...

Earth is but a planet filled with different biomes. Sub species of humans such as Neanderthals roamed the Earth. Life as we know it today is so different, but at this time, it became a turning point in the history of the blue planet.

A lone mini probe the size of a small meteor gently landed on the surface of the blue planet. It landed on what we know today as the site of the Stonehenge and firmly attached itself there to scan the whole planet.

Dust suddenly got blown away as a loud thud was heard the moment the space probe hit the ground. The sound of machinery moving was heard as the space probe suddenly turned into what looked like a communication and transmission hub.

But as it was moving its parts, sub species of humans can be seen hiding on a distance, closely observing the probe do its thing.

They communicated with weird sounds and signs as this rather large tribe of prehistoric people slowly closed in on the space probe.

"Hoo goo hoo goo!" shouted what looked like as the tribal leader due to his head dress as his people charged to the space probe with their wooden sticks they call spears.

They had already saw this space probe flying around here for a couple of times already. They devised a plan to take this thing down for their tribe as a way to secure the food problem.

No one knew what it is, but from the size of it, they thought it must've been a gigantic flying creature.

Their dark skin stood out on this flatland with lots of sunlight as they charge on the still rebuilding space probe.

Rocks were thrown and it connected on such a large target. However, nothing happened, the creature wasn't alarmed, it continued moving just like before.

At least twelve men surrounded the whole creature, ready and stabbed it in the exact moment. But even this didn't do anything as their spears cracked in the middle

Seeing this, the tribal leader finally took his spear and decided to end the creature by himself.

As cheers erupted, the tribal leader started to run towards the creature and finally performed a jumped attacked with his blessed spear.

"Hooyooh!" shouted the tribal leader as he jumped attacked with his spear, hitting the rock solid walls of this transmission hub.

A ting sound was heard the moment the tip hit the walls but not even a scratch can be seen present.

Seeing this scene, everyone immediately fell on the ground and kowtowed their ancestors. They begged for forgiveness by blaspheming as they interpreted the creature as a creature from the afterlife, sent to guard them.

The space probe didn't do anything as it deemed them unnecessary for its current job of gathering accurate data to be sent back to the Imperium.

This day marked the day that humanity's progress became closely tied to an otherworldly civilization much like them but with galaxy ending powers at their fingertips.

...

Mars, the technological capital of the whole universe...

Mars, where do I even start? The capital of the whole Mechanicum. The center of technology and every advancements there are being employed by the whole Imperium.

They're the people responsible for developing all sorts of cool toys the Imperium has. From weapons capable of killing a whole star, to having it mass produced and outfitted on each ship of the Imperium, and many more.

Their beloved God machines or Titans for short has became literal cathedrals of death, even more than that of their olden counterparts.

Titnas has seen great improvements, their mobility, firepower, armor, energy output, and many more has improved by an astronomical level to say the very least.

Different classes for different situations are created. Every possible danger was taken into account. Every available field has a titan created for the job.

The brightest of the strategists of the Imperium creates battle doctrines around these titans who's became almost a normal sight since they're always marching with a guardsmen cohort.

The regular equipment set of a normal guardsman is already unimaginable for anyone at this age. They looked like the Master Chief except their armor has a large skull on its chest amd back. With the Imperial Aquila on their helmets forhead.

They wield futuristic looking guns powerful enough to blast anyone to nothingness and has a stupidly powerful recoil which made it hard for the enemy to use while also detrimental without the pseudo power armor of a normal guardsman.

Tanks such as the all new and improved baneblade classes has returned to their original job and that is as a scouting tank as more streamlined and more powerful tanks has been put into service.

Tanks that has stupidly powerful main guns became the main battle tanks. Their number is well in the infinite.

The uniforms of military officers are a mix of Napoleonic Era and The Great War aesthetics. There are also certain branches that employ uniforms like that of the infamous SS uniforms. The uniform aesthetic really is dependent on which branch of the military and the planet the branch is being headquartered upon.

But these SS uniformed personnel are on the intelligence related branches so they can't really be seen by a normal citizen.

Overall, the military equipments of the Imperium has been on the very peak state than it ever was.

Back to Mars, at a facility in charge of monitoring the space probes, a rather special transmission was received which made this center immediately haywire and report the matter to the higher ups.

Time travels differently from each universe meaning this transmission would've already been thousands of years old if it travelled on the conventional faster than light. That is if the Imperium still uses light speed as a basis of measurement of time which is too inefficient for them.

They measure time in a rather special way. Because of their special way of measurement and how advance and powerful the transmission equipment on the mother probes, the transmission can be considered good as new with only a super slim in the level below nanoseconds of lapse time.

"Terra? On another universe? This is unprecedented! Quick! Report this to the higher ups. This is something that concerns all of the Imperium!" shouted a technopriest as the whole center turned into a stampede of people trying to complete their assigned jobs.

At this moment, the news has already reached the Emperor who's eating a delicious strawberry shortcake on his office.

The notification sounded and the Captain General immediately went and looked at this notification. The Captain General is still Kitten as together with technological improvements he, the custodians, and the Silent Sisters got their lifespans extended without the biological aging and they can theoretically live forever.

The Emperor wiped his mouth and looked at the Captain General waiting for him to speak about it.

The Captain General just nodded and spoke.

"My liege, Terra! Terra is found!"

...

A random public school, somewhere in the universe...

"Okay class, how many Emperor is there?" asked a teacher who's wearing a simple polo shirt and slacks as he wrote on the holographic board.

"One!" shouted the children enthusiastically aa they jotted down their notes.

This class is a class for Level 2 and Level 3 citizens, meaning they're mostly aliens with different appearances.

The Imperium model of brainwashing them and conditioning them to become a good a obedient citizen without any complaints starts here.

The teachers are tasked of making them understand that they must contribute to the Imperium and not the way around to rise uo through the ranks of citizenship.

This worked flawlessly as people especially children tend to always believe whatever they saw or was taught in school. By conditioning them in the earliest possible time, they're becoming an obedient little dog always nodding to whatever the Imperium says and working hard for it.

But today the lesson wouldn't be just for asking what can they do for the Imperium or anything related. But they'll learn of the benefits the Imperium gives to the most obedient citzens whilst also showing what will happen to the disobedient men.

They'll do this by showing some of the recorded footage with something added or deleted to these children.

As the teacher loaded the footage, he first turned to his students and asked.

"How many Primarchs are there?" he asked.

"Nine!"
