I hate morning practices I had to take another shower cause coach had us run that much. "Booooo why'd you abandon us!?!?!?!"

I chuckle "I'm sorry babe I told you and James to hurry up but you didn't so I had to leave or id be late to practice"

He stared at me "Did you at least eat?"

I nodded "Yea I ate some toast so don't worry"

he nodded and James finally joined us "Hey so who do you think your mate is?"

I shrugged "Who knows as long as it's not Landon I don't care who it is... Why?"

he just shrugged. "I mean your birthday is coming up so I wanted to see if you were hoping for anyone to be it."

I shut my locker and turned and I saw Alec and I could feel my cheeks go red "Hey wy I think our saph finally realized she likes someone"

I looked at both of them and James was smirking and Wyatt looked all worried "You-you know I just got out of practice... so, of course, my face is red."

Wyatt looked less worried and James smirked even more "Yeah right..."

Wyatt turned to me and said, "Oh can I borrow your car? Pops took mine so I can't get to work?" I nodded since alec promised me food after school "Yea just bring it in one piece ok?"

he smirked "Hey I'm not James"

James put on his offended face "Hey! That happened once that's it" we all laughed and headed to class

I just got out of class and started heading to my locker "Hey I can't make it after school..."

I turn around and see alec giving me a sad look "It's ok I was planning on going down to the field and running some drills"

he gives me a small smile "I'm sorry to let's go tomorrow morning ... ok?"

I nod "That's a promise..." he nodded and left. I decided to skip lunch and went to the field with my bat.

After 30 hits I heard someone walking towards me "How did I know I'd find you at this field instead of the soccer field?"

I shrugged "What do you want Landon?"

he smirks "I'm just doing what lee told me ok?"

I hit a ball and looked at him "You found me so leave..."

his smirk got bigger and he sat down "Your missing class... so I missing with ya"

I scoff "Why don't you just go tell Mr. herring on me I mean he been trying to find an excuse to get rid of us, athletic kids..."

He stares at me and says "Hmmm no thanks and beside this is more fun."

I roll my eyes and hit the last ball "Fine if you're saying I'm leaving..." and I left with him walking behind me chuckling.

When I walked into class with Landon close behind thankfully Mr. herring wasn't there yet. I sat in my chair behind Alec and right next to me Wyatt and on the other side was James. When I sat down all three of them looked at me and then Wyatt came and hugged me "Booo are you ok I was so worried when you weren't at lunch."

I chuckle and he gives me a serious look "Sorry I was practicing my hits forgive me, babe?"

I give him puppy eyes and he smiles "Of course but only because you know I always give in to those puppy dog eyes."

I smirk "I know..."

All of a sudden Mr. Herring comes in. "Alright, class get in your seats get out your textbooks... and Miss. Jackson, the coach wants to speak with you..."

I nod and Landon turns around and smirks and I flip him off "Miss. Jackson would you stop being a disturbance and go to the coach's office."

I mocked a salute "Alright sir!" and left.

I knock on the coach's door after I heard a 'come in' I walked in "Hey Mr. herring said you wanted to see me?"

He stares at me for a moment "Oh yes take a seat... So since you are the captain of the girl's softball and soccer team I want you to be co-captain of a co-ed team... to a soccer team and a baseball team, since I know that's what you'd rather play then softball."

I look at him "And who is the other co-captain?"

"Um, either your brother or Landon I haven't decided yet so I was going to have them choose who gets to be co-captain..."

I give him a pleading look "Please don't make Landon co-captain he annoys me enough... can't you just pick my brother and not have any deciding..."

He stares at me for a moment "Look they are both good players that's why they are co-captains so it won't be fair so they get to decide who moves to the co-ed team and that's final... you may head back to your class now..." I nodded and left.
