19 Massacre

A large hole is carved into the chest of the hobgoblin, allowing Mason to see the mountains behind the hobgoblin. Green blood sprayed out the 1-foot diameter hole in the hobgoblin.

Although Mason expected it, the power of his [Wind Bullet Lv 3] greatly varied depending on his state of mind and body, and apparently, he was in a great mood right now. Even more so after hitting the Hobgoblin.

The Lv ?? Fort Night made his move at this point in time, completely finishing off the hobgoblin with one clean swing of his sword, slicing off his head, along with the few fingers that came in the way.

Mason received a notification at this time.

[Wind Bullet Lv 3 has levelled up to Lv 4]

[You have killed Lv ?? Hobgoblin Hobta]

[You have gained experience]

[The experience gained had been taken to repay the debt]

[Your debt had been repaid]

[The excess exp has been inputted into the system for your level]

===============

You can now level up. Do you wish to level up? Exp will be used up, which can be used to buy skills. Levelling up will refill all your HP and MP.

Reading these messages, Mason was surprised and he accepted the level up, since his [Basic Wind Bullet Lv4] was currently more than enough, especially now that it had reached Level 4.

Mason did not bother with how it had changed with the new level, but instead focussed on his free 2 stat points.

Without hesitation, he put them into Mana, and immediately felt his mana reserves increase.

Grinning slightly, Mason looked back at the battlefield, which still had tens of goblins, and decided to used his [Basic Wind Bullet Lv 4] four more times to get as much exp out of this chance encounter as he could.

However, he noticed a subtle change in the wind bullets. After the level up, he could not adjust the size and intensity of it. The maximum size and damage had increased slightly from last the previous level, which was good and all, but now he could greatly reduce both enough to make the bullet the size of a grain of rice, instead of the size of his head, and could reduce the damage from obliteration to pierce through. Reducing the size and damage greatly reduced the mana cost, and made it so that he could launch nearly 16 of these wind-grains until his mana ran out. However, doing this greatly reduced the accuracy.

It was basically the difference between hitting a moving object with a splash damage cannon, and hitting the same moving target with a hand-gun.

Mason decided at this moment that he needed a new skill, and as he launched a barrage of tiny grain sized Wind bullets towards the tens of goblins.

Due to the large number of goblins, he barely missed, but he knew he needed a particular skill.

Up in the dimensional void, Jack had read Mason's mind and was searching for the skill, while Mason received countless exp notifications for killing the zombies.

One he was out of mana, Mason shouted,

"I'm out!"

Before sitting back into the carriage and opening his status.

While Mason was admiring his killing spree, Jack had found the skill Mason wanted.

==============

Basic Aim Lv 0 (0/100)

CP: 20

==============

Jack did not bother too much with this, and just sent Mason the cost.

Mason, who was wondering how much his personality had changed from being a timid fellow who chopped wood, to becoming a cruel mage who went on goblin massacres, received the cost of 200 and got thinking.

'I should put some money into the bank. I need to slowly collect 200 exp while levelling at the same time. Having Basic aim with the ability to only shoot 4 full-power Wind bullets is useless. At least with being able to shoot 6 full-power Wind Bullets will allow me to overwhelm the opponent with numbers. But this also won't work with very fast opponents, so I need the aim.'

Mason thought for a bit and simply decided to wait until he had 100 exp, and then putt all the excess exp, which would have gone to waste if he didn't level up, into the bank, and then level up once he had enough to buy the skill, or if he needed the mana or hp refill.

Suddenly, Mason realised just how useful the bank was, and so he made a mental note, "Save as much as possible into the bank."
