006 : 'Reasons'

The next few weeks went as such.

In the morning before academy I would train my Taijutsu in the little gym I made, after that I would attend the academy.

Coming back from academy I would talk with a few of the 9 and also tried to involve in a few conversations during the classes as well.

After coming home, I would train my Ninjutsus and try to think about multiple combos that can be used in different scenarios and try them out in the forest if I have the chance.

In the evening I would train my genjutsu capabilities, this was another advantage of Sharringan, you can cast a genjutsu with one eye while try to break it with other, you didn't need a partner to train in genjutsu like normal people.

And after that I would go out to eat, at different locations every time, I wanted to know the taste of everything, I was a food enthusiast previously, and this new world had opened many new ingredients, combinations and cuisines.

I didn't need to care about money because I had whole uchiha clans money at my expense, even though much of the land was annexed by konoha, the monetary wealth still remained.

Last time I checked, there were 300 million Ryo worth of just cash in here, not to mention jewelries and other valuable items.

And after coming back home from this small culinary trip, I would train my chakra control.

I continued this routine for a year and results were apparent.

My height had grown to about 5'1", way heigher than children my age were, I think only Choji comes second to me in height.

Even though my body only had subtle traces of muscles apparent on the outside, it packed quite alot of power.

I can surely say that with just my Taijutsu alone, I can go head to head with a Chunin.

Include my skills in Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, and I was special Jonin level already.

They say apple doesn't fell far from the tree, in this case it fell just below in the shade. My talent in both Genjutsu and Ninjutsu was mind fondling, the uchiha blood was strong in me.

I was sure that if I can get some real life experience against Ninjas, my practical application of jutsus against ninjas would increase dramatically.

My Chakra level was already equal to an elite Jonin level ninja, as I said earlier, Sharringan can determine the amount of chakra in a person, I just waited for a few Elite Jonin groups to show up at the Akimichi Restaurant as I compared myself to them a few days ago.

My chakra control had reached 89% this morning, even though I cannot completely hide my chakra signature due to remaining control, I can reduce my chakra signature till just below mid genin.

Aside from this I did gain some combat experience, it was just that all the opponents I had fought till now were chakra beasts.

I had gone up against the mid B-rank ones till now, I can barely overcome one if I am lucky, but I had developed quite a fighting style due to them.

Their unexpected and insanely powerful moves had made me ready against all kinds of attacks, even if my experience against ninjas was non existent, I was sure I can hold a few off, and in the worst case, run away easily.

On the other side of the spectrum, nothing drastic had really happened.

The world was going as it was supposed to go with a little tweaks here and there.

The Kiri massacre was finally stopped by the rebel forces and they had combined all the remnant clan factions to form the rebellion army and the civil War had broken out.

Hundreds of clashes happened every month, and the ones that were benefiting from this were not the rebel faction, not the imperial faction but the traders and other villages.

The reason was simple, the imperial side had large number of forces and a lot of blood to spare, while the rebellion faction currently had large amounts of clan money, higher quality individuals but lacked the unity and numerical strength.

Both sides needed tons of material each day to enhance their arsenal, and war merchants were making a killing in these times.

Not to mention that the Bingo book was being updated every single week with new appearances and terminated missions.

Both sides were hiring ninjas from all over the world to fight for them, on the surface no village was even appearing to dip their toes in this mess, while on the dark side of things, All the ANBU personel from all the villages were participating by the orders of their higher ups.

Apart from this, nothing really interesting happened.

I had broke that 'Unapproachable' persona of mine and had became friends with a few of the nine, few being Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, Shino, Hinata and Sakura.

Yes, Sakura, even though I hated her character from the anime, this wasn't the anime, her and others character in this reality was much more matured and logical than their cannon counterparts.

Since both her and Ino understood boundaries, I had no qualms being friendly with them.

Shino was an unexpected one as he usually kept his distance from everyone, my first conversation with him was during the festival, when I was enjoying the scene of fireflies under the night moon, he was also there to see the same thing as me, since then, we had picked up talking to each other and had became friends.

Naruto and Kiba kept their distance due to some idiotic reason, I didn't pay mind to it and just returned their behavior to them.

But the person with whom my relationship developed the most was obviously Hinata.

The first reason being I was a major fan of her during my teenage years when I watched the show, second was that her nature was so good that it was impossible to not like her, third she was so damn cute and last, I knew she would have a bombshell figure in future.

Being honest, just the last point was enough for me, a boy who still held his V-card, was rapidly approaching youth and was filled with hormones.

Plus I wouldn't mind having someone like Hinata as my partner, plus her power in the later stages was one of the top in the generation, and that was in the anime, I can multiply that with the methods and techniques I possessed.

I actively talked with her under the guise of being a fellow Dojutsu user and seeking some tips in 'awakening my Sharringan' and came to know her much better.

She still had her likeliness towards Naruto but it wasn't so exaggerated like in anime.

Over this year that we had talked and trained, I made her perspective change in my favor, there was only so much she could like about an idiot who got beat up trying to save her when even she wasn't even in any real danger.

Her shell of a shy person was cracking slowly as she talked around with me and other girls of the group.

While I knew the older Hyuga head of the clan had some problemo about me being with her daughter, it was taken care by both Hokage and Danzo.

For first time in their lives, they took the right decision, even if the intent was wrong.

You see, pairing me with a Hyuga only benefited the village, if we get successfully married in future and had kids, there was a small but not ignorable possibility that a child with a new Dojutsu could be born.

Other than that, according to them, having me attached to someone in the village would dramatically reduce the chance of me escaping the village and running away, they wanted to bind me with the village.

So her father, willingly/unwillingly gave her the green light from the very start and she liked it very much, after all, she was barred from making 'friends' at the academy.

For the first time in her life she got Yes as an answer from him and thus our friendship started.

The older Hyuga was still very strict, but seeing the improvement in both Hinata's confidence and power, he relaxed a bit, unknown to him or anybody else, this relaxation would result in him losing his daughter to Sasuke in future.
