Fighting The Summit of The World

To break the chain of fate Shinji needed to exceed the limit imposed on him by the world, Shinji has to refrain from using The Third except for basic enhancement or his level cap/chain of fate will become higher/harder. That was the reason Edelweiss can't detect Shinji magic.

But it clearly as time passed Edelweiss is holding back

Shinji chain of fates finally breaks, turning him into Desperado

With that Shinji become immune to Fate Forcing technique, which that used by Edelweiss the entire time to suppress Shinji. It was the edge that Shinji needs to win their clash, enough to knocking out Edelweiss sword device from her hand

The following strike from Edelweiss second sword comes with the same power as the first one, Shinji parried it with all of his stamina that left in his body, knocking it out…and quickly put his Quincy style katana on Edelweiss neck.
