27 Chapter 27 - Just A Short Trip To Orario. What Could Go Wrong?

I feel like I was forgetting something… Oh right, Grayfia. I kinda forgot that she had been working in the mansion for the past two days.

Welp, can't blame me for being distracted when most of my brain cells are used for running 48 Quattuordecillion instances of simultaneous simulation, continuously to calculate the perfect ratio to divide Earth perfectly into six portions like a cake for no reason.

In short, I am bored as always.

After the resolution of the arranged marriage, there's two weeks before the Holy Sword incident will start. Well, that is if the Church is still standing.

To be honest, I have no expectations the little cult of mine could do much damage to the Church other than some superficial losses. After all, those core members of the Church are strong enough to go toe to toe with even Satan level opponents and the puppet I created from the Exorcist were only around low Ultimate Class.

"Oh right. Sirin asked me to help register her and Sakura as proper Adventurers." I recalled from last night's dinner.

So, I've decided we will go to Danmachi world today with everyone for a vacation of sorts.

———

In the street of Orario, a peculiar group of people are marching into the Adventurer Guild.

Meeting the stares of other adventurers, they scoffed and laughed.

"Which rich noble brats are here to become adventurers again? Just go home and wait until you grow a little bigger before returning, brats." A few gruff and tough looking adventurers laughed and made fun of the group.

"You!" The girl with long purple hair looked offended and as the fight was about to break out. A male voice interrupted them all.

"That's enough Sirin. They didn't really mean their words. They are only trying to discourage hot headed youth from going to their death. Isn't that right, Mr Adventurers?" The black cat jumped down from the arms of the blond noble lady with twintails and approached them.

"Tch, yeah." The adventurers admitted when their intentions were revealed for trying to act though in front of newbies.

"Anyway, let's go and register our Familia and both of you." The cat said before turning around and approaching the front desk where a brown haired elf with short elven ears and wearing glasses sat and looked at the Cat with a frown.

The employee is Eina Tulle. She felt like something was not right although she couldn't put her hand on what was wrong as she looked at the talking black cat who she sensed was a god.

"Ah! You would like to register your Familia right? May I ask for your name, Sir God?" Eina pulled out a thick and old tome from under the desk.

"Ray. Just Ray." The cat replied.

"Alright, just a moment." Eina said before quickly flipping the old tome and eventually found what she needed. "Ray, the God of Chaos and Discord?"

"Yes. That's me." The cat grinned.

Eina is a little disturbed by the profile of the god which clearly indicates it is in the category of Evil Gods. Although not something very shocking as Evil God isn't something uncommon as even one of them had led quite a successful Familia, the Goddess Loki is the Goddess of Mischief, Trickery, and Deception.

"Alright, everything is in place. Does Lord Ray need an explanation about the annual tax and fee for running a Familia?"

"No need, you can skip that and help register my Familia members." The Cat produces a pouch filled with sufficient Valis to pay for the fees.

When Sirin and Sakura were filling out the form, Eina exclaimed in shock.

"Two Level 5 at 12 years old?!" Eina stared at the form with wide eyes and darted her eyes at the two purple haired girls.

"Is there a problem?" The cat asked with narrowed eyes and wasn't happy that such details that shouldn't be shared were shouted for everyone to hear. Though he made sure everyone forgot about it except the guild employees.

"N-No. It's just… we will need to verify the claim. If it is possible." She added the last part when she sensed the gods were staring at her with a not so pleasant mood.

"Of course, go ahead." The cat said as Eina brought Sirin and Sakura to a private booth to check their status which of course showed they are genuine Level 5.

A little while after that, Sirin and Sakura obtained their adventurer ID and the group left the Guild building to explore the city of Orario.

———

Up on top of the tower of Orario, a certain silver haired goddess is doing her usual activity which is enjoying a glass of top quality wine while looking down at the city to search for a soul that she finds interesting.

She gazed down at her tower and saw a group of people with peculiar souls.

"My, what an interesting group." She said and tried to peer at their soul only for her to frown as she was denied her own ability.

The souls had all been obscured and interfering with her ability to see the 'color' of the souls. Naturally, this made her angry and even more determined to view the souls only to be interrupted.

"Since you look pretty, I will give you my warning. Stop looking at their souls. You will regret it, definitely. As last time anyone attempted that, his brain exploded and died. Granted he is a human although a little special. But being a god will not save you from it."

"Who?!" Freya turned to the direction of the voice and saw a black cat popping open one of her expensive wines and taste it curiously.

"Just a talking cat." The cat replied while looking very satisfied at the wine. "This tastes good. Can I take one?"

Freya was shocked at how utterly unbothered the cat was with its situation. After all this is her room, her castle and domain.

"Ottar, kick that thing out." She ordered only to frown again when she couldn't hear the usual response from her most loyal champion.

"Don't bother, I stopped the time and put us in a separate mirror dimension just in case." The cat said after blatantly stealing her wine which vanished into his shadow.

"So, what is your answer? Depending on which, I might spare you or turn you into another mind-smashing slave." The cat asked lazily and looked increasingly bored.

"Hah! Do you think you can simply break the rules without repercussions? I will report this matter to Ouranos." Freya regained her wit, thinking the reason why the god disguised as cat hadn't killed her is because he feared the repercussions of killing her.

"Welp, I take it as a no." The cat sighed and stood up from his lazy pose.

"Since you are a pervert that can't stop getting off from peeking at another's soul. I shall grant you your wish." The cat did something which was only visible by Freya's eyes.

Instantly, Freya's eyes widened. First was shock and glee. But it didn't last a second before her glee morphed into terror and horror.

"Beautiful! Such a beautiful soul yet so utterly incomprehsi—! AHHHH!" Blood bleed out from her orifices as her eyes rolled back into her skull before she fell to her knee and drooled like an idiot losing their mind.

"Beautiful, wasn't it? Too beautiful that your mind is unable to comprehend." The cat laughed capriciously at the idiot reduced to an empty husk as her mind was incapable to comprehend what she saw yet desperately trying to and failed. "Really? What else do you expect from trying to gaze at a 12th Dimensional beings soul with your 4th Dimensional brain at best." The cat scoffed before using his shadow to clean up the crime scene.

When the mirror dimensions were dismissed and the time resumed. A panic immediately ensues amongst the Freya Familia as every single one of their members suddenly loses their Falna and is reduced to a normal human which can only mean one thing, their beloved Goddess Freya was sent back to Heaven.

Although, this is a little incorrect as she didn't die in a physical sense since she didn't get returned to Heaven. But her mind and soul were shattered beyond recognition to be even considered alive.
