22 Usurper

After the spirit had entered Chloe she dropped down to her knees. Ramiris and I both ran up to her to check if she was fine. Ramiris spoke first.

"Ahh it's too late. You can't blame me for anything that happens now. Let me tell you this, that spirit is bad news. You don't want to mess with anything that is related to time. Are you ok kid? Do you feel weird at all?"

"I think I am good Miss Ramiris, it just felt like a lot of energy so I was thrown off a bit" Chloe answered.

"Do you feel any different?" I asked.

"I think all I feel is a bit stronger."

"Well… in that case, there is not much we can do. Kids, how about we thank Ramiris for all of her help and for allowing us to summon spirits? Actually, Ramiris, could I try to summon a spirit?" I asked.

"Oh, do you want to give it a try? I don't see why not, while we are still here."

Standing on top of the platform I asked Great sage if she could try to call the last spirit I had not eaten yet.

Small dark particles of light began to form all around me. Using gluttony I consumed them and created a dark type spirit without a consciousness.

With that done I now had consumed every type of elemental spirit. Turning around towards Ramiris I decided to ask her.

"Aren't you pretty lonely being in here? You could move to my city you know, the dryads are there and I am sure that they miss you. It would probably have better living conditions than by just staying here."

"EH! The Dryads are there. Well, I mean, since you are practically begging me to, I wouldn't mind moving to somewhere with more company. Yup, looking at your face I am sure that you will be sad if I say no so I will go. It's definitely not because I am bored and lonely. Nope, it's just that with that puppy face of yours I am sure you will cry if I say no…. Emm.. Where did you say your city was again?"

"It's in the forest of Jura. How about I summon someone so that they can guide you and help you move?"

Creating a golem body using the finest Magic-steel I had with Sage's help I prepared to summon a demon who would gain quite the handy skill in the near future. Setting all of the pieces together I used Sage's help to summon a demon.

"You called for me, Master"

"I did, I offer you this figure of magic-steel as your body. In exchange for your servitude I offer you a name. Do you agree?"

"I agree, Master."

Entering his new body the greater demon started to become familiar with his new body.

"This body is perfect, Master"

"Glad you like it. From now on your name will be Beretta."

"Then from now on, I will be Beretta. What are your orders, master."

"First of all, I need you to assist Ramiris here in moving towards the Forest of Jura." Using Shared mind I shared detailed instructions on how to get to the city. "Make sure to keep her safe ok. There are some things I need to do so I must leave pretty soon.

"I understand, master"

Heading towards the direction of the children I began to say my goodbyes.

"Mister Rimuru, you're not leaving us now are you? I thought we would be heading towards your city together?" Chloe asked with a concerned expression.

"Not technically, there is just some stuff I have to do so I wanted to have an earlier goodbye so that when I leave for real it won't be so sad you know. And don't worry, you all should be moving to my city in about two weeks." Taking out Shizu's mask I told her "And here, since your spirit seems to be a bit troublesome how about you keep this. I am sure that it will come in handy."

With a bright smile she gave me a hug and thanked me.

"Alright, time to say goodbye to Ramiris. I have one last thing to say to her so I'll send you to your bedrooms so you can start becoming familiar with your spirits. I'll be right behind you all."

Sending them back to their bedrooms using spatial motion I created a full clone with all my capabilities. He would stay with them so that he could meet with Hinata. I on the other hand would have to head to my city to take care of the otherworlders that would be on their way.

The otherworlder that had come to his office could become quite troublesome in the future. He had lied about his fight with the orc lord. Yuuki had seen it himself with a crystal Clayman had given him and there was no real struggle in the fight. Add to that the fact that he seemed to be able to create a city out of nowhere. With quite capable people at that.

Some of the spies that had been sent to his city had been taken care of before they could gather any important information. All that he had was the fact that Demon Lord Milim appeared to be hanging out in his city. He had also received word from the Jesters that it was him that fought and defeated Charybdis.

Listening to him telling his story on how stressful it was to be tranmigrated without limbs and senses it is possible that the experience left him to become more cautious. There is also the fact that he met up with Shizu and he appeared to have learnt from her. He did not seem to have any bad intentions when he came to Yuuki's office. Being the first human he had met up with it would not be too crazy if he was thankful to Shizu to the point he wants to save the children at her request. A lost cause, as they will be dead soon.

In any case he wasn't sure what to do with this new pawn on the board. Manipulating him into doing what Yuuki wanted probably might not be too hard. However, he is too troublesome,

' I'll just send someone strong to kill him and be done with it. Hinata should probably be overkill for dealing with him but she is perfect if you want to get the job done.

Saying goodbye to the children a few days after they had gotten the spirits, Rimuru prepared to leave. Walking in the direction of tempest he soon found himself to be trapped in a barrier. A woman with short dark hair and wearing paladin armor walked out from her hiding place.

"Hello, I assume this is the first time we meet is it not? It will not be long before our goodbye though." she said

"Hinata Sakaguchi, Shizu asked me to talk with you. She wanted me to check up on how all her students were doing. I am glad to see you are doing well. My name is Rimuru, it is nice to meet you."

Her face only became more stoic, a sign of her growing anger.

"So now you are acting as if you are an idiot and don't know what you did. The church has eyes and ears everywhere. I know that you were the one who killed Shizu." She said as she took out her sword.

"Is that so? If I may, how trustworthy are those eyes and ears? Don't you think there is a chance that they might have lied to you?"

She stopped for a second before continuing to slowly approach me with her sword at the ready.

"... You are a monster are you not?"

"I am, since the moment I came to this world I have been a slime."

She appeared to be analyzing my words, looking for any signs of lying.

"So now you say that you are also from my world. I find that hard to believe as I have not heard of anyone arriving to this world as something other than human. The simple fact that you are a monster is all I need for a reason to eliminate you. I apologize but I cannot believe you and I cannot risk letting you escape if you are lying."

She launched herself at her top speed in my direction. Pulling out my sword I blocked her strike. Holding the scabbard with my other hand I pointed the opening for the sword at her direction and activated it. With a bright glow an explosion erupted, forcing Hinata to move back.

"A bit of a shame the barrier limits Magicules, that was supposed to be a big explosion. Also, consider this self-defence, Shizu woudn't want me to hurt one of her favorite students after all."

Launching herself once again we began to fight with our swords. I was limited by not being able to use magic, and in truth I didn't need to win so I wasn't going all out. Hakuro was quite the genius when it came to using a sword and with all of his experience in my head I was standing my grounds against Hinata quite well.

"It appears you are quite good with a sword to be able to block my attacks" she said as she used Usurper once again.

A slight look of shock appeared on Hinata's face.

"You- you just did something to me. You are too dangerous to delay this fight any longer."

Summoning her spirits she trapped me in my place and started chanting the words to the disintegrate spell.

"I hope you know that I don't wish any harm to you yet. I'm sure if we had more time to talk we probably could have worked this out better but it is too late now. Shizu was really worried about you so remember to stay healthy. Goodbye."

"Disintegration!"

Once her spell was finished the human-shaped slime was gone. However, not a trace of satisfaction appeared on Hinata's face. She only remained standing with a small frown on her thoughtful expression.
