47 The calm...

"Sir Granbell, Isn't that a bit excessive? What about the human residents of Tempest?" Venus asked.

She was a woman that appeared to be around 30 years old. She had long red hair and golden eyes. She was wearing white light armor without a speck of dirt in it. On her waist was a rapier.

"No, if they are expanding at this rate it is better to be excessive and fully get rid of the problem than allow them to survive and grow stronger." Said Jupiter.

He was a tall handsome man with his hair combed back. He had light green hair and a pair of glasses. On his body he is wearing a normal pair of loose clothing with no weapon by his side.

"We also have to keep in mind that Sir Granbell was once defeated in the past by Luminous because he didn't go all out from the beginning. If we make that mistake again there isn't a guarantee that the new demon lord won't attack our countries while we are weakened if we lose." Said Mars.

A tall man with tanned skin and with a shaved head. He had many scars on his body, and at the moment he was wearing a tight shirt that showed his muscles.

"I recently got a report from the activities of the new demon lord. His name is Rimuru Tempest, and he appears to be a Kijin. We don't know much about his strength but there is strong evidence that he defeated Charybdis by himself." Granbell said as he passed the report.

"We also have to keep in mind the population of his country. There are at least 200 kijin in his country, hundreds of what appear to be evolved lizardmen, thousands of orcs, hobgoblins, and now they have demon lord Carrion and his country as support.

From the information we have gathered Carrion has returned to his country to take care of the people of Eurazania, but he is still under direct orders from Rimuru. If we do not get rid of them in a moment we might have to fight legions of beastkin as well. The worst part of it all is that they all appear to have names." Granbells continued

"Impossible! There is no way one monster would be capable of naming so many people without repercussions! Even Veldora himself would die or be weakened to the point he would only be as strong as a lizard if he tried to name an entire country." Said Saturn.

She was a young woman with short blonde hair. She was slender and had defined muscles. She was wearing noble's clothing and had a royal demeanor.

"It doesn't matter if it is supposed to be impossible or not, the fact is that every monster in that country is a named monster. That's why I presented my plan of attack. We cannot allow more monsters to be named, or else they will grow unstoppable. I fear our first attack will not get rid of them all, that's why I want to take our army as well, I cannot afford another failure."

"But what about the humans that are staying in Tempest?" Asked Venus once again.

Granbell sighed before he spoke.

"As much as I hate it, they will have to be sacrificed. If we give a warning to the humans to evacuate, the monsters will be on guard."

"What does it matter if they are on guard, we are more than enough to defeat them!" Venus screamed at Granbell.

"This is an order." Granbell answered sternly.

"Can we at least wait until the festival is over? There will be fewer humans at Tempest that way, most would only be at Tempest until it finishes." Venus tried to convince him one last time.

"We have a winner! The blue team can go to the reception to claim their price." Gobtewnt announced

The second day had special competitions that everyone was free to participate in. Prices ranged from normal plushies and small gifts up to rare and unique weapons depending on the competitions.

There were competitions like drawing, singing, cooking, fighting, running, and even some sports that had been recreated from our past world. Depending on the difficulty the higher the price.

There was a hidden competition going on inside the Labyrinth in which many people were fighting to see who was the strongest. Since no matter how hurt or exhausted they got they could recover in just a few seconds thanks to Ramiri's and Raphael's hard work.

A special training area was being built for those who wanted to go past their limits. It would be merciless training but at the end of it, they were guaranteed to leave stronger than they arrived. Veldora's magicules that flowed through the labyrinth led to the birth of many strong monsters like the tempest serpent, an A rank monster. Monsters that could be used to teach the less experienced fighters.

I was also inside the Labyrinth at the moment, but I was currently at the location the insects were staying at. A place really close to Veldora so they could absorb as many magicules as they wanted. The reason for my visit was due to their current states, they were in cocoons, signifying their evolution.

"So this is what you have been taking care of for the past few days?" Said a smiling Lina. "Are they evolving?"

"Yes, I am surprised how fast they have grown in strength," I said as I placed my hand on one of the cocoons.

"I am sharing with them my own flesh and magicules. It will help them grow stronger the stronger I get in the future. Plus I am also slightly assisting them with their evolution. I don't want to do too much since the more they do by themselves the stronger they will become, but a couple of nudges here and there won't hurt."

Lina released a small giggle before walking next to me.

"I remember when they first got here. They were pretty hurt weren't they?"

"Yes, and they used to be so small too, look at the size of these cocoons. They are bound to grow a lot."

After I said that she burst out laughing.

"Small? They are the largest insects I have ever seen. When they got here they were the size of a dog."

"Want me to keep you company?" she asked with a joyous smile after she stopped laughing

"Sure, I wouldn't mind some help with the next couple of events." I said as I wrapped my arm around her waist "Are you ready for the final event on the last day?"

A small blush appeared on her face before she said.

"I don't know if I can do it, Yugen has been trying to teach me but I am very uncoordinated."

"Hey, you were the one who suggested it" I answered with a teasing smile.

"I thought it would be nice for everyone to do before the festival finished. I didn't think I would also have to do it. How did you even get so good at it so fast?"

"Magic," I said before creating a rainbow in my hands using light magic.

"Pfft" she released a stifled laugh.

We wandered all around Tempest watching all the events that were happening.

Going to the hidden Colosseum in the Labyrinth we saw some fights, on the stage it was Albis vs Suphia. The moment they noticed we had entered into the colosseum the fight became more intense. Eventually leading to Albis winning the fight.

Lina had to leave after getting called by Yugen for more practice. And I was eventually joined by Shuna and Souka. We went to visit some of the events the citizens had made to showcase their history. Shuna took us to where the Kijins were sharing their past and origins and Souka led us to the Lizardman showcase afterward.

For the ogres, they had a large amount of shared culture with Japan, due to some of their ancestors being Japanese and sharing their culture. And the lizardmen tribes had a lot of small traditions that they used to follow. Since I was less familiar with the lizardmen traditions Souka happily explained them to us.

When the day was beginning to turn dark the lights on the streets began to turn on. We waled through the art district and we saw many extraordinary new sculptures. Most were built with different materials. There was a dragon, a massive spider, a pegasus, a giant deer with leaves in its horns, and many others that had been built all around the city. We continued to walk until we reached the city center.

"I think I know which one is my favorite," Souka said, pointing to a statue in the middle of the city.

"The other statues are awesome, but they are not quite as handsome" responded Shuna with a giggle.

Standing in the middle of the city was a big statue that had been built by Muruk yesterday during an event. It was a statute that showed me wearing the royal clothing I had started to wear after my announcement. The statue was looking straight ahead, with one hand on the sword on his waist.

Soon Lina returned, joined by Shion, Milim, Luminous, Trya, Hinata, Veldora, Diablo, and many others. They were dressed up and were waiting for the final event of the day.

"Alright, alright, we should get ready, they should be showing up at any moment at any moment"

And not long after I said those words whistle-like sounds were heard before explosions appeared in the air.

It was a firework show.
