50 Mars

Shuna had been the first to attack. She had used a very specific form of disintegration. She knew that bodies were useful to Rimuru, and for that reason, she didn't want to destroy them. What if one of these people held a skill that could help him?

For her using holy magic was as easy as breathing. Not only did she have the Unique skill Analyst, a skill similar to great sage without its self-awareness, but she also held absolute faith in Rimuru. She knew with her whole heart that if Rimuru put his mind to it, it could be accomplished.

So she selected a portion of the crowd that would not be able to dodge her attack. And she used the new holy spell she had developed.

'Heart disintegration

A spell that targeted only the heart of a target, leaving the rest of their bodies intact. This was her instant kill move that would work on those who were not able to dodge in time.

Shion had been teleported above Mars. And she had swung her sword down on him with all of her strength, and one desire in mind. To slice.

Mars had been lucky enough to notice her just at the right moment, and he lifted his greatsword to block the attack. The force was so massive that he had been pushed onto the ground. But what should have been a successful block turned into a failure. The reason being Shion's unique skill Cook.

See the world has an interesting way of fulfilling requests. During the harvest festival what Shion wanted was to be able to cook good food for her lord. And the only way the world could help her with that was by giving her a skill that could rewrite reality. As long as she wished for it she could guarantee a result. And that result was to slice.

Shion's sword sliced through Mars' sword as if it was made of butter. And were it not for his refined battle instincts he would have not dodged in time.

"How!? My sword!"

Mars jumped back to create some distance, with the once-mighty greatsword that had been sliced in half on his hand.

Anger began to flow and forgetting about the allies he had marched with he launched towards Shion. Leaving the rest to deal with the increasing amount of monsters that were appearing out of nowhere.

He had activated his unique skill Stacker on both the remaining of his sword and on his legs. His skill allowed him to stack energy into one place. Letting him multiply the damage he dealt and the amount of energy he released all at once. One singular sword strike of his had the possibility to deal the same amount of damage two or more strikes happening at the same time in the same location.

"Take this!" he yelled while placing five times the energy on his sword.

However, all Shion did was sidestep at the last moment. Letting him fly past her to crash onto the base of the statue that used to stand in the middle of the city. He emerged with an even angrier expression. His body beginning to glow red and releasing smoke from stacking strength.

"You damned bitch. I will kill that damned leader of yours and then I will-" Mars tried to taunt her.

Yet his taunts were too effective. The moment he had mentioned harming Rimuru was the moment his arm had flown off his body. Shion had swung so hard that her blade had been stuck halfway onto the ground. Yet she didn't care. Her opponent had lost his weapon as well as his arm. And in her eyes, there was absolute fury.

One of the subskills of Aeshma was Lord of Fury. Which allowed the user to grant his subordinates strength in exchange for the risk of them going berzerk and temporarily losing their sanity. And whilst Raphael had provided the perfect amount of boost for everyone to keep their sanity, Shion's anger had surpassed the limitations Raphael had placed on the skill.

Mars tried to punch her with his other arm yet it was caught by Shion, who proceeded to dig her nails on his fist.

"Argh!"

Mars tried to kick her yet his leg also became detached from his body. Even while reinforced with his stacker ability all that Shion had to do was chop his leg with her hand, and her guaranteed outcome made sure it was a clean slice.

She began to punch him repeatedly without mercy, destroying his organs and bringing him to a state infinitely close to death. The moment she was about to lose all sense of sanity and go on an indiscriminate murdering spree she heard piano notes playing in the air through the speakers in Tempest that woke her up from the trance-like state.

(Look up "Undertale Orchestrated - Battle against a true hero" by the second narrator. That's the song that will be playing throughout the battle.)

Varuut had made a request to Raphael, to let him and his band members support the fight. And after analyzing his skill Apollo, Raphael agreed.

Right now every Tempest citizen fighting was under the effect of Tempo. Not only boosting their strength further but also giving them a perfectly synced teamwork.

Shion looked down at the man who had been carefully chosen by Granbell for his strength. He was missing his limbs and his whole body had been beaten to pieces. Yet he still clung to his life. Mars had hope.

'As long as my soul lives Granbell will be able to bring me back. I may have lost against this bitch but she must have been the strongest… That's right, they must have sent the strongest to fight me… Granbell will be able to kill her and bring me back…'

In truth, he wasn't fully wrong. Shion was after all the one who held the scariest unique skill. Capable of even threatening Rimuru's life. Yet she wasn't the strongest of his subordinates, that title belonged to someone else.

Shion put her foot on his head and spoke her first words in this battle.

"Die."

The very next second she pressed her foot down, and the ring on her finger glowed for a second as it collected his soul. Shion turned around to see the massacre that the rest of her team were leading.

Shuna was the one leading the attack with her holy magic, and with the Tempo giving them perfect synchronization they were able to steamroll through the rest of the attackers. With her holy magic, she was casting heart disintegration left and right on the enemy army.

They had been abandoned and left without leadership, and now they were attempting to struggle against an army of B-A ranked monsters without counting Shuna and Shion. They had been surrounded on all sides and they were being pushed so close to each other that they had no room to even swing their swords.

Their larger numbers at the beginning had become irrelevant as more and more Tempest warriors continued to appear. By now some mages had begun to fire spells at the concentrated number of people in the center and they were lambs on the slaughterhouse.

Shion walked toward the location her sword had been stuck and pulled it out with one yank. Ready to join the fight once again.

The bodies on the ground began to disappear as a white glow appeared on the streets, indicating that Raphael was the one moving them to a different location.

With the invading army being overwhelmed they were completely annihilated in only a few moments. And, with a final glow of the street most traces of the battle had been cleared. Leaving only the broken statue in the distance and some parts of the floor destroyed.

"Almost lost yourself there for a moment, you had me worried for a second there." Shuna said as she cast a cleaning spell on Shion.

"I almost lost it when that scum tried to insult Rimuru-sama. But thankfully" she said as she looked at one of the speakers which let out beautiful and clear music. "Varuut decided to let us hear his music."

Shuna let out a small giggle before saying.

"Let's go, we have more people to fight."

The first of the Clerics of the Seven Luminaries had just died. Bringing along with him to their doom his army of 5,000.
