53 Weaving Webs, Making Plans

"I'm sorry." Peter sighed as he leaned back into the couch. Still wearing the suit except for the mask, Peter was sitting in his living room as he sat across from all his ladies trying not to annoy them any further as they glared at him sternly with their arms crossed.

Susan, Gwen, Yuri and MJ sat across him as they stared at Peter trying really hard not to give him an earful once again.

"Dear, could you at least try to appear sorry?" Yuri smiled but Peter saw through the smile instantaneously and found himself unable to hold back a quip.

"Trust me, Yuri, I would love to look the sorry and apologetic part but frankly I'm mentally drained and you girls taking a piss in my ear isn't helping it either." Peter groaned in annoyance as he massaged his temples.

"Oh, I wonder why is it that you are drained." Susan rolled her eyes. "I, in my honest opinion believe that this whole lecture would have been avoided if you would have just listened to us and rested. But no! You wouldn't listen."

"Hey! It was necessary! I needed to control the situation my way before it got out of hand and became unsalvageable." Peter retorted.

"But your health-"

"Hey, hey! Cut it out you all!" May scolded the group of lovers as she exited the kitchen with a tray of food in her hand. "Peter is mentally and physically exhausted. Plus he is hungry, so I think you ladies should just let this matter go and let him rest in peace. And he has apologized already. Thrice actually since he came back."

"Thank you very much, May." Peter smiled as May set the tray in front of Peter and smiled at him. "I love you."

"I love you too. But-"

*Whack!*

"Ouch! What the hell, May-"

"You mister, I don't think you realise the reason the ladies are not happy with your actions. You passed out and Jennifer found you in a seemingly fetal position and Susan told you to rest. But no, you had to do to stuff and I understand but you left without a warning or relaying any kind of information to them." May folded her arms after she lightly whacked him in the head and reprimanded Peter as he listened to her closely. "Communication is the key and you totally omitted that. Peter, you need to realise that we aren't angry because you don't listen to us. We are mad because you put yourself in dangerous situations again and again and worry us. We can't bear the thought of losing you and now that the whole world has its eyes on you, our worries have skyrocketed as well. We love you. You don't have to do this alone."

"I... I am sorry, May." Peter grabbed May's palm and kissed it as he raised his cheek in her hand as he looked at her with clear eyes. May simply smiled and nodded. Leaning down she kisses his forehead and stepped back. Turning to the ladies in front of him, Peter scratched his cheek awkwardly. "I am sorry to you all as well. I won't do it again. I love you."

"I love you too, Peter. We... We do." Susan replied as she walked around the table and hugged him.

"Yay! Calamity averted." May cheered softly as everyone laughed with her. "Good that this is solved, now let Peter eat in peace and gather his spirit."

"Huh?"

"After all, he has a lot of making up to do to all of us tonight." May winked as she bit her lip seductively and Peter could only blink.

"Damn."

------

"Damn." Peter muttered breathing in as he untangled himself from the naked pile of his lovers, laying unconscious on his king-sized bed. They were sprawled all over the bed in various positions, passed out from the overwhelming pleasure, Peter had delivered. "I am a lucky bastard."

Peter put on a loose grey t-shirt and some slacks as he walked towards the bedroom door.

"Where are you going?" Peter stopped as he reached for the doorknob. Turning back he smiled disarmingly at Gwen who looked at him softly. "Come back here."

"I'll be back. Just going to the bathroom." Peter smiled at her. "You should go ahead and catch some sleep."

"Mnnn. I'm not sleepy yet." Susan shook her head as she tried to pull herself out of the bed. "Come back-"

"Yes, you are." Peter smiled. "You are really sleepy. Sleep ahead, honey. I'll be back soon."

"A-Ahh... O-Okay." Susan nodded as slowly as she began to feel her vision turn blurry and sleep take over. A few seconds later she was already snoring softly. Peter smiled to himself as he walked out of the bedroom.

Walking down the hallway and below, he entered his personal lab as he powered it up.

"Alright. Eryl, Juno. Let's start." Peter said as he set himself on his desk. Taking out a pen and a book, he began scribbling down as the system booted up.

"Good evening, Peter." Eryl greeted.

"Heya, boss! Missed me?" Juno was in a jolly mood.

"You bet I did." Peter smiled as he kept scribbling into the book. "I take optimization was a success."

"It was. You can leave all the fire-power-related stuff to your trusty AI knockout! Hehe, also SPARTAN Mark-VII are monsters in their own right." Juno reported. "Now, if only I were to get my own body-"

"I don't remember you being this chatty the last time we had a long conversation." Peter raised an eyebrow in amusement as Eryl sighed.

"She is obsessed with learning all the useless stuff off the internet." Eryl chided.

"Hey! It's not useless! And it's not an obsession! It's a hobby."

"Sure, sure it is."

"Why you stupid sister-"

"Anyways." Peter laughed interrupting the two AI sisters. "Helen Cho is already working for AfterLife, so it's only a matter of time before we complete manufacturing the first Type-A Cradle. Due to recent developments, I have decided to hold off from continuing my bloody crusades for the time being and concentrate on training and Research and Development instead. So, I'll be working on the Cradle myself, after we are done with Type-A Cradle and then we can get onto building suitable bodies for you both."

"That's... I can't wait." Eryl replied, choosing to be subtle with her joy while Juno was the complete opposite.

"Weeee~~ I can't wait! I can't wait! Let's push the Cradle as the number one priority."

"I'm afraid not little sister. The number one priority is Peter's training and aiding with his personal project. A major incident is about to occur soon." Eryl butted in as she presented her thoughts to Juno before she turned to Peter. "It is as you had Predicted Peter. I am picking up energy spikes in an isolated SHIELD facility near XXXX. From the information I downloaded from SHIELD's archive, I've learnt that this is one of America's most guarded secrets, project PEGASUS. Research revolving around an extra-terrestrial object called the tesseract. What is our next move, Peter?"

"So, it's finally starting huh?" Peter smiled as he finally looked away from the book and onto the screen. Look at tesseract, Peter stared at it for a while before looking away from the stone and going back to scribbling notes again. "For now we do nothing."

"Nothing...?"

"Yep, nothing. As I said, no vigilante business for a while." Peter replied as Eryl and Juno kept their silence before Peter sighed and turned to them to explain his intentions further. "For the past few weeks, I've given people too much shit to swallow and in almost every way. I need them to process this and as they do it, the rage against me might subside or it might just turn into a wildfire but I don't care anyway. I don't care about the comments either. Instead, I'm more concerned about what is to come. I need to improve and prepare myself for it and in every way possible. That's why I plan to do nothing for a while and instead just stay in the lab."

"I understand now. So, should we go as we had planned prior or-"

"Due to the unexpected developments during the past few weeks, I've decided that the plans I had made prior were useless so it's time to change them a bit." Peter replied as he finished scribbling notes and showed them to Eryl and Juno. "We will start with my training first. I will be attending university only twice a week. The rest we will be training me and this is what I want to train and improve in."

(A/N: I read all I could about The WOL and Destiny but I'm still quite confused. So, if anyone can spare the time for a detailed explanation that would be very much appreciated)

"This..."

"Yep, for the next two to three months I want us to focus on this. Any progress we make, or in case of a breakthrough or a failure we can make changes as we go." Peter instructed. "Remind me if I've forgotten something."

"I don't think you have. You have covered everything, although we have to make more elaborate plans it's quite thorough." Eryl complimented.

"That it is, thank you." Peter grinned. "Scan the list and adjust my schedule accordingly. We start training in two days."

"Roger."

------

Spider-Man had made waves. His entire public persona has shifted drastically in a matter of few days and even though his exploits we're out in the open for everyone to see, he still remained shrouded in the same thick blanket of mystery.

The government officials were pulling their hair out in frustration and it only increased dag by day as they came to know that Spider-Man knew about SHEILD and was capable enough to bring them down single-handedly.

Fury had advised them in a lengthy report that in no case should they try to provide the damn Spider because they knew nothing about him except that he was strong enough to kill a Hulk and crazy enough to do that in front of the whole world.

He didn't care about any consequences and he sure as fuck didn't give a fuck about laws. His statement, 'Above The Law' has made rounds around the world after all.

But they couldn't just let his slip, if they just left Spider-Man alone, not only would they look weak and miserable to the rest of the world but this would also increase the rate of vigilantism which they couldn't allow in any case.

They had to do something about it and they hired a professional to help them. Former Ex-Marine and Mutant, Jason Wyngarde, the mastermind.

(A/N: I have altered his backstory and his powers a bit.)

He along with his squad was tasked to confront and if possible capture or neutralize Spider-Man but their plans came to a screeching halt when Spider-Man went off-grid altogether without any trace. It has been weeks since he was last spotted.

This would have normally been a relief for them but this was Spider-Man they were dealing with. He was deemed to be a Country-Level threat overall. While in terms of physicality his power level was debatable but Fury easily placed him as a Nation Wide threat without a shade of doubt.

He was a cunning, crazy bastard and his disappearance could mean anything. While they were hoping that he had died off or disappeared it could also mean that he was laying low and planning something.

Without much time to plan, the world has already seen what Spider-Man is capable of. They shuddered to think just what he could do if he was given the time and if he decided to go on offence against them.

They had to admit, that Spider-Man was no longer a street-level menace but had the potential to be a global threat.

Spider-Man was a fearsome entity and they had to do something about it as soon as possible.

Inside every big building, inside every close guarded, top secret room full of oh-so-important people, watching them were spiders. Eight all-seeing eyes bearers lurking in the corners, keeping their prey in sight all for their Monarch.

Sitting in the middle of a destroyed training field, the red-eyed Spider-Monarch smiled.

"All according to the plan~"

Anyways, so... Chapter, duh.

Let me know what you think about the To-Do List. I haven't branched out a lot because I want the abilities to be connected to his core set of powers for as long as I can. But since he will be learning magic and energy manipulation that could become obsolete in the future so please advice me if it's okay or outlandish and also suggestions as I'm all for new ideas.

Also, what the hell is wrong with Marvel? *Ahem* Let me elaborate. Just what the hell is Ms Marvel? Watched the first Ep and bro... I knew Disney and Marvel are couples now but I didn't expect their baby to be this ugly.

Well, whatever. If you have seen it, let me know what you think about it.

Anyways, I'll see you in the next one.
