8 Chapter 8: Stunning

"Where are you going? Are you now backfiring in our date?" A familiar voice filled my ears.

I got frozen when I heard his voice. I wanted to turn my head to confirm that he is the one I expected.

I don't want to assume again. Like what happened awhile ago.

What if this is just an imagination? What if I am being delusional again? Well, the only solution to my what if's is to turn my head to the man at my back.

I can feel the cold breeze of September. I shivered at my spot as I felt someone behind me chuckling.

"Really? You don't want to turn your head on me?"

My heart beats faster again. My mind and my heart are battling right now. I sighed heavily then secretly pinched my hand. And to my surprise I got hurt.

"It's getting late and cold right now. Faster you're shivering right now." He said then I felt a coat cover my shoulders.

I bowed my head as I turned my head into him. I can't meet his eyes. On what I am feeling right now, I am in a cloud nine.

I scan him by my bowed head. I saw that he is wearing a pants that fitted on him and leather belt. He smelled nicely, I couldn't help but to sniff his perfume.

He is wearing a leather shoes partnering with his belt. He has a big size of feet huh.

He chuckled again. "You turned your head but you can't look at my face, huh."

I blushed at this statement. My heart fluttered I can't help but look away why clutching my chest.

He held my chin that make me jumped where I am standing. I suddenly took a glimpse at his handsome face.

When he noticed my expression he chuckled again. Oh my gosh! I am now falling for his laughter. What kind of man he is huh?!

All of his body are perfect even his attitude! I can't compared him to another man because no one could ever surpass him.

I know you're telling me that I am biased since I like him. But that's the truth!

I pulled out to my reverie as I heard a voice greeting Atticus. And to my shocking its Adam!

"Atticus, bro! Whoah! Why are you here?" He exclaimed.

I felt Atticus tensed then turn his head to Adam. And I saw his face become stoic. Not the same he shown me awhile ago.

I can't help but be nervous on where it will be going. So to stop the tension between them I tugged Atticus shirt. He shifted his gaze from Adam to me.

And I saw his eyes turns gently from with no emotions but wrath. I nervously bit my lower lip when Adam laugh.

"Tss. You're whip now huh? The great Atticus is whip by a little girl-"

"Shut up!" Atticus halted Adam.

I jumped to my spot when he cut Adam.

"You know the consequence when you intruded my privacy." He said with a conviction with threat lace on his voiced.

I saw Adam become tense and trembling. Just what Adam feeling right now, is what I am feeling too.

Atticus is so dangerous! His eyes becomes fire ready to burn someone.

He looked at Adam again with danger right now. I grip his shirt when I notice the fear in Adam's eyes.

"Leave now or else your family business will shatter." He calmly said but I know he is threatening Adam.

I don't know why he is acting like this. Is Adam do something wrong with him? Probably.

But Adam recovered with the fear I saw. He met the raging eye of Atticus with his teasing eyes.

Psh. If I were him I would never do that in this kind of situation. I'm going to lose anyway.

Atticus fist clenched as well as his jaw. I shivered at the sight of him.

Even if it's tensing I couldn't find that feeling. Because Atticus making me feel that I am safe with him.

He will protect me no matter what happens. I giggled at my thought.

"I know you can't do that especially I know your weakness. Let's see if I am the one will loss our business." He said teasingly.

I felt Atticus become more raging so I held his fist to calm him. Even I am don't know if I can help him.

But to my surprise he did!

"A-Atticus don't answer him he is just a waste of time." I said bravely.

Adam looked at me with his annoying face. I met his gaze with warning and threat.

"Whoah! You have a guts huh?"

Atticus forehead knotted. Mine is fear.

"As far as I remember you enjoyed the dinner date with me." He said and smirked at me.

I heaved a sighed. I let go the hand if Atticus to clenched my fist but I can't pull it.

Atticus gripped my hand but I am not hurting. He looked at me gently like he is assuring me that he can manage the situation.

I trusted him.

"Mors inférnum," he said.

I don't know what's the meaning or what is he talking about. But I saw Adam swallow the lump on his throat. And hurrying to get out of the sight of us.

Atticus then smirked. "Quid stultus."

His faced emotion changed and it is now not heavy unlike awhile ago. Because now he is smiling and gently intertwined our hands that my heart beats faster.

I looked at our hands. "W-What are you doing?" I stumbled.

He chuckled at my ear that gave me goosebumps.

"Hmm... what do you think?" He teasingly asked.

I bit my lower lip again to hide my smile. I remained calm even my internal organs are now partying.

My heart is beating so wildly that I am afraid it will escape. I felt his callused hands at mine.

And his hands feel so warm.

"You're stunning too night." He complimented then kiss my left cheek.
