16 Chapter 16

Boom!

In the barren wasteland of the arctic circle, as if a missile crashed down in the ground. A loud cloud of snow and ice sprung up in the air as a large hole appeared on the once flat field. Inside the freshly made creator, a teen with messy black hair dropping down. He lightly spit out a small glob of blood, before the cut near his mouth healed under the yellow sun.

Dressed in only a badly torn blue shirt and jeans as the weather around him was below zero. The teen stared gloomily up at the sky where a man looked virtually untouched. The man had pure white hair but a large muscular frame. Descending as if god as the sun was positioned just right behind him, the old man simply smiled.

"You are getting better Jason." James smiled as he looked at Jason's messy state. "I almost had to put a bit of effort into it this time."

Grumbling, Jason used his super speed and charged his father. Rapidly throwing a few dozen punches faster than the human eye can see. Jason attempted to land a successful blow on his father. Sadly, his father who held back still easily parried his attempt before kicking him high into the sky once more. Before he could react and regain his footing in the sky, he saw his father appear above him. With a swift and without mercy, the man dropped an ax kick, sending him into the ground once more.

In an all familiar scene of a great explosion. Jason climbed out of the pit sending a hateful glare to his father who appeared before him once more.

"Jason, you won't beat me in speed or power. While you spent seventeen years under the yellow sun, I spent more years than the richest man's bank account under it." James explained as he crouched down.

'Bragging isn't helping you fossil.' Jason thought.

Poking his son on his forehead. "You need to use your head. While you may have the strength very few beings can match, some may even surpass you in this aspect as you're still growing. So you need to use your greatest weapon, your mind."

"Should I find a green rock for you then?" Jason grumbled.

"If you plan to take yourself out, then sure." James countered. "I built up a bit of a resistance to it when I was younger."

"Of course you did." Jason grumbled. "What is the point of this training anyways."

Yes, this slightly destructive fight was all in the name of training. For how this came about, time needed to be rewinded a few hours beforehand.

Appearing at the front door, dressed in demonic armor. A tall and slightly handsome man with blue eyes gently knocked. As a green sword was strapped to his waist, he appeared determined as the door creaked open revealing a woman in her thirties.

"Hello Zastin." Liz greeted with a glare. She had just fallen asleep when she heard the knocking.

"Is Jason here?" Zastin asked unconcern about the glare. For the message he has to deliver took great more importance than keeping one human happy.

"He and James are out shopping. The two were on red alert for being low on sweets." Liz rolled her eyes. "Do you want to wait inside or just want me to pass on your message?"

Thinking for a moment, Zastin quickly decided. "I better wait as this is of great importance. Countless beings on this planet could die. Even the princess."

Pausing for a moment, Liz stepped out of the way and waved him in. "Just quietly wait at the table. Try not to be loud or touch anything."

It was nearly twenty minutes later when the two returned from their shopping trip. WIth bags full of various sweets, they returned to a solemn looking Zastin who was asleep at the kitchen table. A slight drool could be seen as he snored softly as he leaned over the table.

"Zastin." Jason asked as he dropped the bag of candy on the table.

Snorting as he woke up, Zastin let out a small yawn. Rubbing his tired eyes as he looked at who was calling out to him. He saw Jason looking down at him as if he was an idiot.

"What are you doing here, Zastin?"

"I am here to deliver a message." Zastin answered.

"Don't you always deliver messages?" Jason interrupted but was ignored.

"The last survivor of Viltrum is drawing towards Earth." Zastin said with his voice trembling a bit.

"Is that bad?" James asked as he peaked his head out of the kitchen.

Nodding, "While super strength in human terms is common throughout the universe. Very few can match a Viltrumite in physical strength. Even our King who is known as one of the strongest in the whole universe for uniting it. Even he might struggle physically going toe to toe with a young one."

Frowning a bit, James wondered if a Viltrumite was really that strong. While he didn't look concerned as he could move planets with ease. He couldn't interfere too much, but his son on the other hand was still growing.

"A young one?" Jason asked. "I hope you're just talking about raw strength."

"Yes, as the king can theoretically decimate most with ease with an energy attack. Just the last survivor from reports was already among the strongest when he was young. Able to match even an elder of his race a thousand years ago. Since he killed the rest of his race to become the last one." Zastin explained.with a tired expression. "He has been destroying any planets he deems unworthy, which is most of them he comes across."

A frown as Jason was unsure why such a person was left unchecked for so long and why is he coming to Earth."Why did he decide to come to Earth? We really only have been to the Moon." Jason asked.

"We don't know." Zastin replied. "I know you guys are strong, but I am warning you guys to be careful."

"Don't worry. I have an idea if things are as you say they are." James said as he looked at his son. 'I'm sure my son can handle it, but to be sure. I better begin training him. Like it or not.'

This is how the so-called training was started. All to prepare for a one man invasion.
